The setting of the story we chose was helpful for people to relate to the villain of the story. Therefore we selected a pub called The Swan. It was important for the reader to understand that this specific location made it easier for the villain to capture his victims. For example the accidental pill he took caused him the side effects of desired pleasure and the pub was the perfect place to capture a woman’s attention. The mixture of the pill and the alcohol caused the villain to not be his usual caring self and to be a predator for the lust of woman. He was able to pick up different women with his handsome features and the confidence the pill gave him it was an advantage he had over the woman he preyed for. The Pubs back in the day and still now were known for drinking excessively to the point they were drunk and most of the time they would leaving with a prostitute to full fill their pleasures behind the wife’s back.
The audience for the story is adults based on the content that is used throughout the story, such as drugs, alcohol, lust, marriage, and desired thoughts. Adults usually like to read suspenseful and mysterious stories in order to picture the drama they avoid in their everyday lives. Most adults today use drugs to suppress pain that is affecting their everyday lives while being in a stabled relationship with a child. We found it important to inform the audience of the dangerous that can happen when people are not aware of what they are taking. To capture the audience the elements we used were for the readers to put themselves in the villain’s shoes. We also made the villain attractive to capture the audience based on how attractive and bad they are. This will help the reader relate other characters to our villain, such as Dracula, Edward Cullen, and many more attractive villains that lure the readers for more.
The character that I really enjoyed developing was the villain known as William Heathrow. At the end of the story he chose to change for the better thanks to the hero his son. The pill caused him to become the villain he was and to act the way he did. The name William is known for noble and caring and the twist we added helps the reader know who the villain is. William was the main character for the story and the most damaged one in the story. He killed off two women who were strangers to show the intensity of the side effects he got, and him forgetting helps the audiences know that in reality the pill was the problem. The reason William was attractive in the story was because attractive people are usually put on a petal stole by most, which would be easier for others to never guess that he committed a crime. I loved how we incorporated his marriage and family to show how much he cared about them and that he needed his family to overcome the issues he had.
The story has several literary terms that we incorporated, but the main one I really liked was flashback. In the beginning of the story the villain is having a flashback of him and his son playing at the park. It shows how much he really enjoys spending time with him and the loving father he truly is. When I was in London I observed families in the park and most of the fathers would be playing with their children with excitement outside. This really inspired us to develop our character’s flashback as a positive one, to show the father figure he is when he is not on the horrible pill.  The character not only chooses to keep his loving family rather than the desirable pleasure and confidence he gets when he takes the  ace pill in confusion.

In class my group and I have brainstormed a Gothic tale that is both showing the son as the hero of the story and the villain, which is the father. In every story the hero is always the one to defeat the villain, although in our story the hero saves the villain. The story takes place at the London Eye in the UK, and plays a huge role on the tragedy of when the son finds out about his dad. The reason I chose the London eye is because it is where the hero, which is the son finds out about his dads addiction to a specific drug and his personality change that occurs when the drug is consumed. I believe the London Eye is a perfect location for the story because it is known as a family center for people to enjoy the nice view of the city of London and will remind William of the great family he has with the memories they share at that place in order to cure him from the drug abuse. When traveling up to see the amazing view in the Farris wheel it will show how serious the father’s addiction is with the drug. This closed off ride will help Charles realize his father’s drug abuse and the split personality his father goes through whenever he is using the drug. The story will show the resolution at the end when Charles explains to his dad how the drug changes him to a completely different person and will soon destroy the family.

Throughout the years people have always been attracted to sophisticated stories and entertaining novels based on the mysterious and Gothic side of mankind. I believe that people who create plot stories based on historic novels are wanting to revive the most popular stories in order to modernize them, in order for people to put themselves in the characters shoes. There is a variety of characters that anybody can relate to such as a serial killer, to an intelligent case investigator, and to a seductive blood sucker even if they are located in London.  Sherlock Holmes novels have been very successful over many of years, these cases captured the people’s attention before movies and video games. These stories were originally published in the magazine stands which, made then accessible to many people for great enjoyable times. These stories were often shorter than those of other writers, and thus avoided unnecessary detail. Sherlock Holmes were stories about different investigations that took place in London and were remade to have the modern aged teens be aware of the special cases that once were fascinated by many people based on the unknown and the curiosity of others. These stories impacted many people because of the cases are mysterious enough to continue watching for the next.  Another example that can be is Dracula he is known for seducing women and sucking their blood in order to feed who also falls in love with Lucy and marries her and is willing to suck her blood in order for her to live forever. In the modern vampire series known as twilight he is charming as well and captures the love of Bella and also falls in love with her but the twist is that she is the one that wants to turn into a vampire to be with him forever. As I was here in London my experience here helped me relate to the places where the characters walked the streets, which was an amazing feeling.

Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy is from the literature novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. He embodies the component of the novel as pride and Elizabeth is prejudice.  He is very intelligent, arrogant, wealthy and very handsome. At first in the story he portrays himself as a jerk in front of Elizabeth and she becomes fond of his mysterious ways. He is very private with others and keeps his life to himself, and throughout the novel you notice his conceited ways make him very unpopular and misunderstood by many, yet charming. Elizabeth begins to dislike his ways and he begins to find her interesting based on her intelligence of out smarting him in a debate they had at the ball.  He starts to analyze her kindness and interest in her sophisticated ways although her social economic class is low. He then starts to show Elizabeth a different side no other woman has seen, he shows his generous kind heart to her and confesses his love to her, but she turns him down, due to a misunderstanding that involved him. She then begins to fall for him because he starts to show his care for others instead of his strict self. Darcy’s love becomes a self-conflict between his heart and his head, therefore he believes he shouldn’t love Elizabeth because of her lower social class, although his heart is attracted to her sensibility, independence, vivacity, and beauty. Therefore because of his love for Elizabeth he begins to lower his pride and becomes the ideal husband figure and gentleman. What I love about this character is that love changes his prideful ways to show his generous heart to the woman he falls in love with. I believe that love can turn a prideful heart into the sweetest person ever! Mr. Darcy found the love of his life even though she wasn’t wealthy as he was and I love that he chose his heart instead of what others would say. Many couples can relate to this problem based on the conflicts that they will encounter throughout the relationship such as arranged marriages, social class, and to upraise a company. Mr. Darcy proved that wealth and social class do not matter compare to the love he has for his mate.  My favorite quote he says is "you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love... I love... I love you. and I never wish to be parted from you from this day on." -Mr. Darcy. He is so dreamy!!!!!!

Jack the Ripper
Dear Tumblr Reader,
If you haven’t heard of Jack the Ripper, you have been living in a vulnerable life box. In other words you must be informed of the most menacing media serial killer of all time in London. Jack the ripper committed his crimes in the year 1888 in a small town named Whitechapel, which is at the end east of London. His crimes were a huge impact to the small community in London, although he only committed 5 crucial murders in a short period of time. His victims were brutally murdered after he would lure them in alleys and into cars. The thrill is that they were all females; therefore this actually made me paranoid to walk the streets of London when I first got here because, even though it happened long ago goosebumps still flowed through my body when we explored the city.  During these past four days I have had many adventures with my new friends that I have made and with the love of my life. We have traveled in busses, underground trains, and walked long distances to get to places. The view of the city actually helps me overcome the scares that can occur while walking at night. I have changed my perception on the streets of London, due to the beauty of the city and the amazing aged architecture of the city. The most exciting places I have visited are the Windsor Castle and the London eye, they are to die for. I will be posting photos to show you the beauty! I am excited to know more information about Jack the Ripper on the tour that we will be going to on Friday here in London.
Stay tune more London blogs to come!:D
