Elicia Edijanto’s (@eliciaedijanto) serene watercolored world is an escape from urban life in her hometown of Jakarta, Indonesia. “Nature is my remedy,” the 28-year-old former graphic designer, now full-time artist, says. “My paintings are my own private paradise where humans and nature can live harmoniously with each other.” Elicia is drawn to the honesty of children and animals she paints in black and white. “In my opinion, color is subjective. People inspect color differently,” she says. “When I close my eyes, the image appears in my mind, and I try to present that idea in the simplest way.”
