I’m not a religious person but sometimes I do think god made you for me & if god wanted me to give you up, he wouldn’t have made me who I am & maybe we're just born to love and worry about the people we know, and to go on loving and worrying even when there are more important things we should be doing. & but if you think there’s any chance that I could make you happy, I wish you would let me try. because it’s the only thing I really want to do with my life. & I feel so frightened of being hurt - not the suffering, which I know I can handle, but the indignity of suffering, the indignity of being open to it & oh, don't make me an optimist. you will ruin my life. & love is all any of us want and it’s hell when we get there ! so, no wonder it’s something we don’t want to do on our own & love isn’t something that weak people do being a romantic takes a hell of a lot of hope
