Vie [they/he/she] your friendly adhd gremlin, at your service! I hoard my favourite fandom trinkets and cute things then sprawl them on display. I am a crow and this blog is my nest. No, it is not that organised. ( poetry is stored over here: https://thermospoetryandstars.tumblr.com/ )

I can't lie, I find it very odd that posts cautioning people against donating to individual* campaigns and promoting the idea of supporting mutual aid efforts and community kitchens in Gaza can rack up 10k+ notes--while a post promoting a community kitchen (that I can personally vouch for) struggles to get 1k notes, and has barely pulled in a couple hundred dollars over the past week.
I actively try to avoid using guilting tactics in fundraising, but this is weird to me. It's like people are using these posts as an excuse not to do things they already didn't want to do anyway, rather than actually taking their recommendations on board...
*In my experience, these campaigns often support large extended families + their neighbours
MAQMAP is a community kitchen aiming to support families in the Mawasi Al-Qarara area.

You actually do need noble lineage to rightfully rule, but since lineage doesn’t dilute, and given the historic sexual tendencies of people in power wrt their servants, eventually noble lineage spread wide enough that everyone had it and that’s why democracy happened.

“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.

starting a new company, Autistic Auditors, where we send blunt autistic people to check up on things like companies to stand there and be like “actually that thing the CEO said made no sense, elaborate” and pushing them to actually explain their dodgy corporate language that avoids accountability and reliability. Just really grind them down with repeated “why” and “but what does that mean” and writing down the answers in clear and obvious language.
IDK I’m just sick of hearing how Business Bros talk and how many people are suckers for it. I want blunt people standing there going “hey, that guy didn’t actually SAY anything, he just strung together a bunch of nonsense corporate words to make you think ‘ooo profit’ but there’s nothing substantial here”
We would do the same to politicians.

A spoon's only objective in life is to make soup go upwards, and it knows this. That's why when you put one under a running tap it blasts the water way high. The spoon thinks there's suddenly TONS of soup to deal with and it freaks out.

I know that everyone loves the lesbian spy-versus-spy drama in "This Is How You Lose The Time War," but what I really loved about it is that it's such a gleeful fuck you to the "Great Man" theory of history. The agents don't go around assassinating Socrates or giving Napoleon an AK-47 at Waterloo or whatever; they're subtle; they make some slight change somewhere along the timeline that sets off a series convoluted dominoes over the course of centuries to eventually achieve the outcome that they want. History is a chaotic system and everything js connected with everything else.

I know I'm like really late to the party, but reading "This is How You Lose the Time war" irreversibly changed my life bc now everytime I see a red/blue ship I believe that it's the same Red and Blue as they've written their love across time and all stories.
Like, they're all just them.
They've fought together as pilots in lion mechs, they've been the avatar and a fire nation mechanic, they've been two rock aliens, they've been a Japanese skateboarder and a Canadian snowboarder, a zaunite and a piltie, spindrift knight and outrider, mean girl and edgy nerd, two schoolgirl aged James Bond hitmen who work at a cafe, a mech pilot and a business entrepreneur--
All of them, it's all just them. Weaving themselves all throughout everything. They're the reason red/blue ships are such a Thing^tm
