correct me if i’m wrong but
i’m pretty sure when dirk’s all, “send me and the rowdy 3 into blackwing through the portal!” nobody, like, makes any additions to that plan, but the next time the lineup is mentioned, when the rowdies are going to go on suzie patrol instead, todd’s all: “but dirk and me need the rowdy 3 to go through with us!” (cue amanda telling him he can’t open the portal and go through, cue todd’s horrified realisation that it means sending dirk alone)
i just think it’s really cute that somewhere in the commotion, todd heard dirk planning to step into his nightmare world with a squad of terrifying punk vampires for company and he silently added ‘and me, too, of course’
he just assumed that he would be there for dirk even though it didn’t work out that way and that is one of the reasons why i love todd brotzman Very Much Indeed
