Happy New Year! and Why I Haven’t Been Around.

It’s been a while.

Hey guys, it’s been a while! It’s been like… 5-6 months or so since I last posted anything? Wow, the year even changed! It’s 2017 now ~ and whelp, sorry I have been missing for all those months without even a single update.

Well, I figured I owe you guys some kind of explanation why I haven’t updated for all those months of absence.

Let’s start with the main reason why.

(Warning: it’s gonna get a little too real and might be a bit depressing at some parts, so hold onto…. something fluffy. Maybe.)

Firstly, I got a job. A full time job. A 9 to 5 kind of job that honestly, I didn’t expect to get it so soon so it threw my entire plans upside down. Suddenly, I have all these changes happening in the last 6 months that I needed to get used to so I hadn’t got the time to think about fandoms and fanfics and doujinshis.

So, since I’m on full time for 5 days a week, I am generally spent by the time weekend comes along (not to mention my family and friends drag me out for some quality spending time). And all I want to do is rest.

Second. I haven’t mentioned anything about this, but I’ve been doing some mental recovery since I’ve been in depression for the first half of 2016. I went to therapy, got a counselling session and tried my best to come up with methods to control my state of mind.

It was a really bad time for me.

It think the darkest state I’ve ever been in (mind you I’ve never lost a family member before so I can only get that dark so far), and the majority of it was due to the stress I was dealing in my last school. It had a very demanding schedule and workload, tons of criticism; was exhausted mentally and physically. Even after I graduated, the depression continued for few months more.

I needed to stop everything else and focus on recovery, because it ate at me and I was behaving badly to people around me. I cannot describe this properly in details nor do I want to because… I do not want to show you a bad time (hehe). I am much better now. I’ve worked on myself for months and I am now able to control my thoughts, even though there are still the occasional slips.

Third, well. With all the blank periods I went through, it’s a little hard to get into the works again, like… I haven’t relived KnB for such a long time, it’s difficult for me to ‘get into’ the mood again.

It might take some warming up to start writing again. But alas, if I can write BC after 2 years of not writing a single word, I ‘probably’ can start writing again, hahaha. But the main problem if I have the time to write at all. It’s hard to maintain the same quality of writing when you’re not allowed the sufficient hours to spend on it like it used to be. Like… how can I write 10K-25K words per chapter with only 2 days out of a week??? Yeah…. not going to be that extreme I think. That shit is mad.

Also I kinda forgot what kind of stuff I was writing about. I need to re-read my own fanfics (the irony) if I want to continue.

What other changes do I have? Well, my friend totally got me hooked on Haikyuu and that’s really, really bad for me (the itches are real!).

Also the doujinshis. *sighs* I really do not know if I can continue them atm? I mean, I need to arrange all sorts of things if I want to go back to this side. I don’t know yet, I’ll give you guys update on them whenever I can.

For now, that’s all I want to say about this. I hope you guys understand that I was missing for a good reason (and I am totally not dead).

The redhead was quiet for a while, which honestly, Tetsuya appreciated. This job had taken a toll on him, this hot bath was relaxing the stiff muscles and the knots on his neck. He closed his eyes, sighing, sinking into the water until his neck was submerged. The tips of his wig was wet. He ignored it.

"D-do you think I should ask her out on a date?"

… and the temporary peace was broken.

"… a.. date?" Tetsuya turned to Kagami, slowly emerging from the water. The heat had started getting to his head. He made sure his head and hands were out of the water.

"Yeah, I mean, since I confessed… I should, you know. Ask her out. Back in U.S., guys ask girls out all the time — " Tetsuya wished he could magically teleport to another location, or another bathhouse. Because this was really nice, except for the conversation topic. " — do you think a kiss is too much for a first date?"

Tetsuya almost swallowed the bath water. He coughed, choking a little on his own spit.

"I — I beg your pardon?" Tetsuya balked, hoping he heard wrong.

Kagami was staring at him, expecting a straight answer. Tetsuya was still holding back the cough. "Is it different here? 'cos kissing on first dates is kind of common back in California, I mean if she wants to, of course."

He tried to gather what dignity was left on the tiled floors.

"N-no. It's different here. People…. people don't usually kiss unless they're dating officially. Generally speaking, it's not a good thing to expect a kiss on a first date." Tetsuya said.

Kagami sighed. "I guess not… I don't even see a lot of couples holding hands over here. Kuroko seems like a really classy lady too…" He scratched his head, blushing. "At least I don't need to uh, to worry about the sex part, huh? That goes after dating officially too?"

The bile in his throat expanded, pushing him into a short fit of cough. "S-sex?"

Tetsuya paled. He felt as if his life was shortened by ten years.

Hello there, Tcon-san! I wanted to tell you that I'm really impressed by your improvement in your art style! I read the last page of the comic you made for at least 10 or more times! I like your style a lot and can't wait to see more!

Hahahahaha ~ sometimes I think my art style is largely depending on mood... (whether I wanna make it cuter or ... err, manlier) anyhow, glad you like it ~ I really should draw more so I can improve to be as melodramatically action-y (and gay) as shonen manga!! :DD

(New) Updates Schedule 2016

Phew, it’s been 2 years since I started contributing the KnB fandom! I didn’t even realise it’s been that long! (safe for the fact that, ya know, I was in a long hiatus for more or less a year) So, let’s get down to business. It’s July 2016. I graduated from the school, currently I’m looking for a job (cos Adulting), in the mean time since I have a lot of free time, I can catch up with all ~ the updates that’s been missing for a long time, both fanfics and doujinshis, as much as I still can. There’s also the issue about moving on from the fandom, but that will be discussed as the last topic of this post. Here’s the deal.

  Let’s first talk about the Fanfics. Because I started out with them Fanfics. 

So, here comes the Good News first. (if you follow the stories on my AO3, otherwise, just skip this part)

I still have 3 ongoing fanfics (all KnB fandoms) right now, that I’ve been working on since last year. Two of which I plan on finishing as soon as possible, because I can’t afford the time once the Adulting (a.k.a. a job) begins. Fanfics to Complete This Year: (in the following months)

1. Wolven Crest

2. Stealth Kill

Fanfic with Indefinite Completion Schedule:

1. Dark Veins  I plan to focus on those two first before I’ll start updating on DV regularly. 

Next, the doujinshis. I will prioritise based on popularity (demands).

Doujinshis to be Updated Bi-Weekly:

1. After Dawn

2. Beyond Borders

At this point of the time, it’s more likely for me to start focusing more towards the doujinshis once the two fanfics are completed. Because frankly, I wouldn’t have the chance to write and draw at the same time. Drawing is my profession in real life. I’m significantly faster with them.

I have some Bad News. 

I know some people have been hoping for me to continue the BC series for a third instalment following AkaFuri pairing, but the thing is, it’s just not realistic at this point of my life.

I will no longer contribute another fanfic for KnB fandom.

But I will continue the current ones until they are all completed. Should I decide to write another fanfic for KnB, it won’t be a long series. Probably a one-shot or similarly shorter stories. 

I am ready to move on from KnB.

But I will continue the KnB doujinshis. Until I completed both of the series. Regular fan art is fair game.

Because a gurl gotta have her fix of KnB from somewhere. 

I will move on to Other Fandoms.

Which means this page will slowly but surely becomes a multi-fandom fan works page. Because a fangirl needs a fandom (or two, or three, or four) to have some sort of excitement in this mundane life. Could be anime, could be TV drama, could be movies or games. Maybe it’s fanfics, maybe it’s doujinshis. There are tons of new possibilities.

"I got the key. Let's go up." Kise grinned at him, with the card key in hand.

He nodded, then followed Kise to the elevator — large, ornate and surrounded with mirrors — Kasamatsu stared at the thousands reflections of the both of them in the elevator, it made him feel somewhat queasy. Maybe he shouldn't have fallen asleep on the cab, should've thought more of what to say to Kise's family. This would be a first time, and he was nervous, intimidated and a little frightened with the imagined reaction to the truth.

He hoped he wouldn't freeze up like he always did when he had to interact with women.

What if they didn't like me? The thought resurfaced again, but Kasamatsu shrugged it off. His brothers weren't fond of Kise either, he reminded himself. As if that thought brought any sort of comfort for him.

"Nervous?" Kise held his hand, tried to smile for Kasamatsu.

He could see that Kise was nervous too. Maybe even more than he was. "Yeah." The senior said. "I guess it can't be helped."

Kise nodded. "I know. Me too. I still don't know what to say, to be honest, but… we'll do it together, right?"

This time, Kise was prepared.

“I don’t have a girlfriend. Or a boyfriend. Or any lover, really.” Kise immediately, and firmly, said. He looked at Kasamatsu, solemn.

“Yes, you do. I saw her. I… saw you two in the campus. You were close. You’re close with some other people too.” The senior refused to look at him back. He was stubborn and annoyed. Still believed Kise had lied to him. That the blonde probably had a few lovers. Even if they were the casual kind.

Who the fuck spread that gossip? Kise grudgingly thought. So far he’d only seduced Sarah — although he knew that there were low key rumours that he was also sleeping with Kim, Sarah’s best friend. Clearly, false.

I reread the recent chapter of Wolven Crest and it sadden me to the point that I decided to think happy headcannons for Kikasa to counter the angst. Imagine Kise as an famous actor who stars in a romantic comedy. The director decided to film the series on a college campus. Because there was shortage of extras, they decided to pull in some students for the roles. Now the main actor finds himself in a real-life rom-com as he falls for a stern student who has no idea who he is.

This is as cheesy and happy as I can make something lol (because even in that kind of plot, I can.... exploit stuff....)

Yay, freedom! (My freedom is in half a month T.T) Be sure to take good care of yourself, it's often times like this your body decides to get sick as it's finally allowed rest. Eat good healthy food, sleep early and wake late, but not too late because a consistent eating schedule is important. Lots of water too! Um sorry for this mothering behaviour. Meant to congratulate you and got carried away...

Hello ~ don’t worry about the mothering thing ~ Because honestly I’ve lived an incredibly unhealthy life for a year, full of tears, sweat, caffeine and sugar (sometimes mixed together). And seeing where I live... dehydration is a real threat lol ~ though I just get too carried away with the naps....

I completely get your desire too see Kasamatsu all hot and bothered. *Nosebleed* Switching isn't everyone cup of tea. I just enjoy imagining power bottom Kise.

Haha ~ He would be! But yeah, there’s also this thing about how Kise is portrayed in the fandom. I love Kise, and he’s one of my most favourite characters in KnB, so when people.... other people, portrayed him like a meek, overly emotionally attached and girly dumbass... not that he’s not a dumbass. Cos he is.Well, I got sick of it. It’s like they undermine his character. Simplify him into this blonde idiot who’s meek and weak, like some kind of a  shoujo manga protagonist, when he’s probably the most overpowered character in the series with his Perfect Copy and hidden cunning.So, uuh, bottom Kise kinda irks me out since then. I make an effort to highlight his more “Alpha” qualities in my works because that’s how I see him as. :-I

This is out of nowhere but how do you feel about switching (during sex) for Kikasa? It might not be possible in the "Beastly Call" verse but what about in other contexts? I feel like once Kasamatsu gets over his shyness/inexperience when it comes to sex with Kise, he would want to top once in awhile.

Yeah….. well….. about that….. uuh, how should I explain this, hahaha ~

KiKasa is special. Like, I literarily have an obsession with Kasamatsu. I luuuuuvv Kasamatsu. He’s my most favourite ever. And while switching wouldn’t be a problem usually (except when extreme height difference occurs and things get awkward like KagaKuro), I…. like… Kasamatsu…. as a bottom.Because I uh, sort of uh, express my feelings for him through Kise. It’s uuuuhh, also means happens to be wanting… to dominateKasamatsuthroughconstantteasingandbringdownthatstiffmaskuntilhe’sallsweatyandflushingandohgoddatassIwannatapitsobadKisedoidoitDOIT.

In summary, I love KiKasa. KiKasa banzai. Yay.

Just a little question about breeds in Beastly Call: Kagami is a liger hybrid (thus lion and tiger in equal parts), but He actually shifts into a tiger when fully transformed and not into a liger -which are bigger than normal tigers and have both tail and mane like a lion- may I ask you why? ^w^ Is He able to shift into a Lion too? And there are other hybrids in your story?

Hmm ~ Well, since the universe setting is actually inspired by Sex Pistols manga (look it up, it’s amazing). It’s actually a little bit of a strange mix in the way that Kagami looks more like a tiger than a lion. He doesn’t have a mane, but he has the ‘Lion’ look (I made it up, but lions have red hair, like Akashi).In the Sex Pistols universe, since two completely different species can mate (for ex. A feline with a canine. Or a bear with a Lizard, or a Primate with a Feline), the result of such unions often aren’t hybrids, but tend to follow just one species of either parent. If it’s a canine child, she/he will be completely canine, not a mix. It depends on which genes are more dominant. Ex.: the Canine genes are the most dominant in this verse, thus the Canine dominates a large part of the population.Which is why, in BC universe (where there are rare breeds and it is a central focus of the story), the selection of breeding partners is crucial in order to make children with the species they want them to be. Though ultimately this is a game of chances. Btw, Primates (your plain old normal humans) are on a whole different level. Their genes are the most powerful. 90% of the union will result in Primate children, which is why other werebeasts don’t usually mate with them.

Hello Tcon. When I first read Kuroko’s transformation scene I couldn’t help but imagine that when Kuroko shifts his skin, his hair, and his eyes emit this ethereal glow that stuns Kagami beyond reason.. Which kind of influenced how my drawing came out.

It’s been a long time since I’ve drawn, um, anything really, so I hope you like it and I want to say again that Beastly Call is amazing!
