Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.

The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.

Our Current Situation:

Palestine: From Before the Nakba to Today

I am a young man from Gaza, writing to you about the history of Palestine and our ongoing suffering. I will try to summarize what has happened to this land, from the Nakba in 1948 to what we are experiencing today in this war, which is considered the most brutal in our history.

Palestine Before the Nakba

Before the Nakba, Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire, and after its fall, it came under British mandate. In 1917, the Balfour Declaration was issued, granting Jews the right to establish a national homeland on our land. That was the beginning of the loss of our homeland, as their villages were gradually built while ours were taken away with the help of the British occupation.

The Nakba (1948)

In 1948, Israel declared its establishment on more than 75% of our lands. Over 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced from their homes and villages, and more than 500 villages were completely destroyed. Horrific massacres were committed, such as the Deir Yassin massacre, in which around 250 civilians were killed, forcing our people to flee in search of safety.

After the Nakba

Our suffering did not end with the Nakba. In 1967, Israel occupied the remaining parts of Palestine, including the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and began building settlements on our lands. Since then, we have endured repeated wars and attacks, including massacres like Kafr Qasim (1956) and Sabra and Shatila (1982), as well as the devastating wars on Gaza in 2008, 2012, and 2014, which killed thousands and destroyed our homes and infrastructure.

The Current War (2023-2024)

Today, I am living in Gaza amidst a war that is considered the most violent and brutal. Since October 2023, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to thousands of airstrikes that have destroyed entire neighborhoods. So far, more than 45,000 Palestinians have been killed, most of them children and women, and tens of thousands have been injured. Hospitals, schools, and even shelters have not been spared.

We are living through a catastrophic humanitarian crisis, suffering from severe shortages of food, water, and medicine due to the suffocating blockade. The scenes in Gaza are indescribable: families buried under rubble, and survivors searching for their loved ones amidst destruction.

Despite Everything, We Will Not Surrender

Despite all these tragedies, we in Gaza and all of Palestine remain steadfast and hopeful. The occupation wants to erase our existence, but it can never erase our identity. For us, Palestine is not just land; it is our history, our future, and our life.

I am writing these words amidst the sounds of bombing and destruction, but I want you to know that Gaza, despite everything, will remain a symbol of resilience.

Palestine is not just a cause; it is a life lived by millions who refuse to let it be forgotten.

- Silco, one of the few pro-Zaun/anti-Piltover characters from season 1, reduced into a mouthpiece for "forgiving those who wronged you" and letting go

- Jinx, one of the few anti-Piltover characters, becoming redeemed by sympathizing with Piltovians, being apologetic for killing Councilors, and feeling like she should die to allow her sister to be happy with her enforcer girlfriend

- Vi not having any problem with her Piltovian enforcer girlfriend gassing Zaun, and reduced to kneeling for Caitlyn's pussy in a prison cell, where she was locked for years as a child by an enforcer

- Jayce telling Viktor that his disease was never a weakness to be cured even though the disease was caused by Piltover polluting Zaun

- Ekko never calling out Heimerdinger's failings as a ruler nor Vi for joining the enforcers (even though he does in the game), and also risking all the Firelights' lives to help Piltover

- Sevika not having any lines in Act 3, never interacting with Jinx or reacting to Isha's death, and also risking her life to help Piltover, a decision which was made off screen

In my restless dreams, Silco and Vander!Warwick got to meet

In this scenario Silco would have to survive being shot and would go into hiding aka go back to their little hideout. He did not see this one coming, though

Arcane is not a subtle show and I am not complaining in the slightest.

Silco really pulled a jinx and accidently killed one of his found family members, either with a bomb or by stoking the enforces rage whilst trying to help them. And then Vander took out his rage on Silco and tried to kill him (something Vander clearly regretted, but dam man) like it's no wonder Silco imprinted on Jinx so hard, they practically have the exact same backstory.

It could also explain why he hates Vi so much, as aside from her ruining his plans she's like the second coming of Vander to him. So, he ended pushing all of his unresolved hatred to Vander onto her, it actually explains why he went so feral during the dinner party.

Silco and Jinx even have the same hair like this is not funny, at this point I wouldn't even be surprised if Silco also used to make bombs and gadgets in the past.

ok i really love how a lot of the character redesigns in hades 2 are clearly a direct nod to what the gods are experiencing with the war against the titans in the game

like demeter is in full battle armor, her daughter is unreachable in the underworld and she is not messing around. she is ready for battle.

aphrodite wears war paint/makeup that directly mimics that of ares’s war paint/makeup in the first game.

the one i find the most interesting though is chaos. their redesign has them looking much more human. which some may think is odd considering they are essentially an extra planar being of creation. but i think it makes perfect sense. nyx who is their child, is one of the deities who is unreachable in the underworld. and as we know from the events of the first game, there’s a whole quest on the fated list that involves fixing the relationship between nyx and chaos. the fact that nyx is unreachable is most likely taking a toll on chaos, which in turn is making them feel more “human”/mortal thus causing them to present to appear more human. it makes sense if you think about it

i could go on and on about the new character designs and how they’re indicative to the war with the titians but these are the ones that have stuck out the most to me

edit; i am choosing to ignore the fact that chaos’s new design does look a lot like meg bc if it does mean anything i want to see it play out in the game without trying to theorize about it too much
