Chapter 2: The News

“Did you hear the new Eliza?” Enda Said as they sat down “What news?” I asked this might be about the wandering trader they don’t come around this part much so when they do its really big news for the town “You didn’t hear they’re taking new students to the Evergreen, School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry I know it’s your dream to be a headmaster there!”

I laughed I always wanted to go to Evergreen that’s where the best of the best go like Chloe Hayes, Jon Cline, and Norma Potts I always wanted to go but the thing is I haven’t found my magical calling yet you see everyone can control one element fire, water, light, darkness, earth, wind, and ice. It seems like everyone had found their element Enda had darkness and most of my family members have water most elements callings come around the age of 10 but sadly mines had not come yet. Just thinking about it makes me sorrowful “Hey Eliza you okay?” Eliza asked looking concerned “Yeah…everything is fine,” I said I don’t want anyone to worry about me when they could worry about tons of different things.

“Do you wanna head to the Local cafe?” they asked I nodded maybe having some coffee would time my mind off things. As we both climbed out of our hideout I couldn’t help but think what would happen if I got accepted into Evergreen what house would I even be in? “Okay ready Eliza?” they said, “Yep let’s go!” I said as we started walking.

As we walked I noticed all the little things like flowers blooming, kids playing, people walking past us, all the little things that are so calming to me. As we walked I spotted James messing with his firepower “Hey James be careful we don’t want something to burn down like last time” I said due to his time burning down the library

“I’m not going do that Eliza, ya know I got better with magic how has yours being coming along did you find your calling?” He asked because everyone else in Lyne had found theirs “Nope not yet but I’m still trying to find it” I respond smiling “I bet Eliza might have water or better yet you might be an Aynor!” Enda said an aynor is someone who can bend all the elements We all laughed “Well we’re heading to the Aroma Mocha cafe I’ll see you later alright James?” I asked hanging out with James is always fun he’s always trying to help me find my magic calling! “You know it see you guys later!” he responds as he waved goodbye.

As we walked inside the cafe the Delicious smell of coffee made me Parched “Today for two?” asked the waiter Enda and me both nodded everything in the cafe looked Flawless the sleek tables the lights everything here brings in a warm soon we were seated at a table near the window this is the best spot in the whole cafe to me when it’s Pouring hearing the sound of the rain tapping of the window is so calming

“So whatcha gonna get E?” Enda asked while looking in their menu “Hmm I don’t know yet maybe a mocha?” I respond I don’t order coffee much here I mainly come here to work Enda giggles “You always get that!” they said while continue to look at the menu “So what are you getting?” I asked maybe I can copy their order “Oh I’m getting a Cappuccino” Enda said while trying to get the waiter over here I giggle the waiter soon comes up to us “Okay what can I get ya?” They asked as we both say what we wanted I couldn’t help but think about my order should I change it?

Or should I just leave it be It might not even matter at all as I started to space out thinking about everything does anything i do even matter? “Hey E how do you think they gonna take to evergreen this year?” Enda asked as they began tapping on the table due to them asking it had snapped me out of think “O-oh I’m not sure yet maybe you or James?” I respond Enda and James can both handle their powers very well so they might pick them. Enda giggles “I guess we have to wait until we get the mail right?” Enda said happily “Right” I said along with them after a bit of chatting we both get handed our orders. After eating and chatting about if we might get picked into the school we see a crowd forming around the plaza we both deiced to had to the plaza to see whats going on .

Chapter 1 : The Bakery.

Here in the Village of Lyne, everyone knows everybody It’s quite charming we have a few local shops like the cafe, Blacksmith, a Clothing shop and our family Bakery. Tons of people come to the Bakery mainly on Mondays, Knowing everyone for so long helps out with the orders, Mike the principal at the School always orders Sourdough, or Mya orders two Brioches. Today started like any other day Mike comes inside making the little bell on the door ding.

“Sourdough?” I asked already knowing what he going to say. “Yes, How do you always know?” He laughs, “Lucky Guess?” I say before handing him the bag with the Sourdough inside “Well whatever it is you sure are good at it.” He said as he pays me before walking away“Have a Good day Mr.James!” I said right before he closed the door “You too kid!” he said before walking away.

I start cleaning up before my sister Sarah her green eyes looking at me “Who was that?” She asked walking down the stairs hair brown her bouncing behind her. “Mr.James,” I said as I wipe down the counters “That man from the school?” She said while getting some cupcakes. I nodded too busy to answer her the correct way.

That’s when the bell rang and Mya walked in she had a red skirt with red lipstick to match she walked up to the counter. “Hello, sugar can I get some Brioches?” She said as give paid me knowing I had her order ready. “Sure!” I said as I have given the bag to her I waved her goodbye as she walked out. After she walked out I started to think about the outside and how it must be like but I can’t leave Jasmine here by herself how is she going to run the shop. As I was thinking my Mother came down to take over my position as she walked down I got ready for her to take over.

“Thank you, dear,” She said as she passed me. I nodded before heading behind the shop. There is a little forest back that’s where I and my best friend Enda hang out it’s quite small since there only a little bit of room we make it work.
