MR. JAWSUM glanced behind his shoulder, patting the two along as they walked towards the bar. This GATOR GUYS still trailing behind them making a sort of wall between them. “Actually I was thinkin’ we’d have this be more of a...discussion between business men! You four just go have a good time! JAWHAWHAWHAW!!!” and so without even giving a chance to respond MR. JAWSUM lead HERO and BASIL towards a bar.

Once at the bar MR. JAWSUM ordered three ice cold bottled ROOT BEER, which he took to making a show of opening with his razor sharp teeth. “So BASIL was it? I’m a shark who enjoys people with ambition, succeedin’ and people succeedin’ are some of the greatest joys in life.”

As MR. JAWSUM spoke he made broad hand gestures and would frequently look back to one of the GATOR GUY’s that stood next to them who would nod in agreement to whatever their bosses as on about.

“It is with this thirst to see those suceed that I decided with my generous heart to employ some of your friends here, you may know this with how much HERO probably talks about me but it was I rise to be a successful business owner! Brings me the same kind of pride my father must have had.

But! I would like to hear about your passions, ambitions, and skills! HERO’s really hyped you up there little guy! So I wanna see what all the fuss is about!”

A small buzzing is felt within HERO’s pocket, a phone given to him by MR. JAWSUM during his time at the LAST RESORT. This wasn’t exactly an uncommon occurrence for a GATOR GUY or other employee to call HERO for some advice or to update him on the state of things. Though when answered the booming voice of his former(?) employer rang out.

“HERO! See you’re still as attentive as ever, gotta say at first I was a bit worried leavin’ ya all your lonesome! I mean it’s a big job and a bigger place and you’re not even as big as I was back in my years as a pup! But goooooooooolly you must have some sore feet from filling those shoes so well! JAWHAWHAWHAW! Lemmie tell ya every time my phone rings I feel like Santa openin’ letters, nothing but good things HERO nothing but good things!”

Shifting to get more comfortable in his seat HERO could hear not the calls of seagulls and the laughing of beach goes...but the honking of cars in tragic and MR. JAWSUM’s voice echoing inside a vehicle much to the dismay of his driver.

“Well! I just called to say that I’m coming over to see you and the place myself! Ah what the heck let’s make it a reunion, bring all your little friends so long as that BASIL you were on about tags along! Ever since you of all people hyped him up so much my excitement to meet this potential ‘super employee’ has never been higher! JAWHAWHAWHAWHAW!!!”

HERO hears the car...shaking with his laughter before MR. JAWSUM hung up.

HERO was a bit taken back by the sudden phone call, but he listened intently to what the other had to say (though, it was quite a pain...).

He let out a shaky sigh as the other hung up, the others looking at him in confusion, AUBREY being the first to speak. 

AUBREY: “ What was that about? It better had been something worth your time, I was in the middle of talking!! ”

HERO: “ Aha, well, you see... ”

KEL: “ C’mon, spit it out already, HERO! ”

MARI and BASIL stared at HERO, waiting for a response.  HERO: “ Er... MR. JAWSUM’s- ”

AUBREY: “ Ew. Nevermind, I don’t want to hear it! ”

BASIL: “ A-AUBREY, let HERO speak. . . ”

HERO: “ ... MR. JAWSUM’s coming over. F- ” 

KEL: “ WHAT!? HEROOOO, WHAT DO YOU MEANNNN!? NOOOOO- ”

AUBREY nudged KEL.

HERO: “ He just wants to visit and see you guys, or something... Maybe OMORI will make it, too.. ”

KEL: “ Well, if OMORI comes, I GUESS it’s alright... But if he doesn’t, then... Ehhh.. ”

HERO: “ You see, we don’t.. Uh.. Really have a choice. ”

AUBREY: “ WHAT!? ”

MARI let out a small giggle. MARI: “ Hmm... I don’t think me or BASIL have met this ‘MR. JAWSUM’ guy, but... How bad can he be? ”

“Eh? What the...” MR. JAWSUM glanced over the final member timid of the group. That voice, that stance, even that look! Why this guy looked more delicate than the flowers on his head! Was this really the kid HERO had been going on about? MR. JAWSUM had to find out more, his hungering curiousity was growing the more he learned about this! Kneeling down (though still towering over the child) MR. JAWSUM gave BASIL a wide grin managing to show off a terrifying array of teeth, rows of what were essentially pointy pearly white saw blades greeted BASIL as he asked. “Hey there kiddo, HERO’s told me and has done plenty for ya! Now I don’t know if you know this but that’s HIGH regards in my book, enough for me to wanna take a bite and see for myself!” MR. JAWSUM then stands up taking both HERO and BASIL by the shoulder. “You kids like ROOTBEER? Come on let’s go discuss some business at the bar, my treat! JAWHAWHAWHAW!!!”

The ride itself wasn’t too long, a short twenty minutes that felt like twenty hours for the poor GATOR GUY. Though he kept his cool as they drove only speaking to answer questions the crew might have.

At long last the limousine finally arrives at the LAST RESORT which looked as glamorous as ever with it’s neon lights and ever present construction crew. Though it did seem as though progress was actually moving along with a whole floor actually finished! Taking a moment to compose himself the GATOR GUY opened the door for the six arguing children. “Alright...that’s it...we’re done...the boss is excused to see all you kiddos!” He seems...defeated...already pulling out a SMOKE STICK once he was done with his initial talk. It was clear he needed a minute to himself.

Though once inside they were greeted by MR. JAWSUM sitting at one of the tables near the entrance, surprisingly electing to see them in person rather than sitting behind his desk sending GATOR GUYS to do his bidding.

“Is that who I think it is?!? HERO! AUBREY! OTHERS!” Now sporting a fancy palm tree pin the giant shark gets up from his (creaking) chair and walks up to greet them tailed by two GATOR GUYS. Giving HERO an almost crushing hand sake which lead into a nearly lethal hug he turned and saw each of them giving them just a small pat on the head. Going down the line eventually stopping at MARI, “AUBREY see you’re still doing well, KEL looking distracted as usual, OMORI still you.” Turning to look at HERO with his hand on MARI’s shoulder MR. JAWSUM exclaimed “Ah ha! This must be the BASIL you were talking about, HERO you’ve never let me down! Just by looking at her I can tell she’s responsible enough for a manager!!! JAWHAWHAWHAWHAW!!!”

The trip to the resort was the same as usual, though rather than hailing a cab from a local GATOR GUY there was a small black limo next to the entrance to the UNDERWATER HIGHWAY. A tired looking GATOR GUY standing next to the parked car after seeing HERO waved him over.

“Yeah...yeah he’s here...uh huh? Uh *yawn* uh huh. No there are more this time, six...yeah six...I’m sure...Alright.”

Flipping his phone and for once putting it in the jacket pocket the GATOR GUY, clearly trying to pretend he wasn’t tired asked HERO once over. “Eyyy it’s the bossman! The big boss MR. JAWSUM was so excited to see you two he instructed me to come wait for you and your crew immediately after dropping him off!” Carrying his excited tone and forced smile the GATOR GUY opened the back door to the vehicle before asking. “The big boss did want to know who your plus six was though, he was expecting just the five of ya.” Thankfully MR. JAWSUM’s larger frame gave all six of them plenty of room.

The inside of the limo itself was your standard 80’s movie limousine. Luxurious, tacky beach theme, red seats, and even a cooler full of sardines, FRUIT JUICE?, and two fish blue fish shaped popsicles! Everything indicated it belonged to the shark mogul, though with how the popsicles were propped up and the familiar glasses on the fish made it seem more like a marketing test...

“Well well well aint I a fish out of water! Gotta admit these computers sure are fancy, not only giving me a view of some prime real estate but plenty of new faces to hire! I guess I could make time in my schedule to go on the prowl, maybe even find some fresh blood! JAWHAWHAWHAWHAW!!!”
