Project 2025 ain't gonna roll out all at once. So what we're gonna wanna do is make passing each individual part of it as difficult as possible, so there's less to undo once we finally get this country back on the rails.

i think it’s funny when someone acts really angry about something you say online. could be whatever. and you check their profile and go. oh wait. you’re literally 14. nevermind. talking about this with you is like 100% useless. and they go “my age has nothing to do with this” like actually your age has everything to do with this. when you are 14 literally everything is influenced by how fucking 14 years old you are.

7 reasons why solarpunk is the most important speculative fiction movement in the last 20 years
It’s hopeful. Solarpunk doesn’t require an apocalypse. It’s a world in which humans haven’t destroyed ourselves and our environment, where we’ve pulled back just in time to stop the slow destruction of our planet. We’ve learned to use science wisely, for the betterment of ourselves and our planet. We’re no longer overlords. We’re caretakers. We’re gardeners.
Scientists are heroes again. And not just physicists and astronomers. Knowledge of biology and earth sciences matter, they’re the building blocks for a future on Earth. Scientific literacy isn’t just for academics – it’s part of daily life. People know how the things they use work, and if they don’t, they can access that information.
It’s diverse. Solarpunk is rooted in using the environment, so it looks different in different places. Alternative energy is best when specific to place (I imagine geothermal, wind, tidal, and hydroelectric energy sources are still used in certain places) so no overarching government system is needed. Communities can organize themselves, taking their own location and needs and history into account. Brazilian, Inuit, Egyptian, Pacific Northwest, and New Zealand solarpunk can all look very different, but be unified in resourceful, intentional, low impact living.
Individuality still matters. In a post-scarcity society, ingenuity and self-expression are not sacrificed on the altar of survival. With solar power there’s no reason not to go off grid, if that’s what you want to do. Communities can self-organize. You can find a community that suits you, or go live by yourself if that floats your boat.
There’s room for spirituality and science to coexist. Solarpunk is rooted in a deep understanding and reverence for natural processes. There’s room for spirituality there, be it pagan, Buddhist, Sufi, Transcendentalism – anything. There’s so much to explore, from nature worship to organized monotheistic religions, and how they interact with solarpunk.
It’s beautiful. The most common solarpunk aesthetic is art nouveau, but again there’s room for diversity, incorporating art styles from multiple cultures in respectful, non-appropriative ways. The most important aspect of solarpunk aesthetic is the melding of art and utility. The idea of intentional living is strong in art nouveau, but it’s not the only art movement with that philosophy.
We can make it happen. Now. Earthships. Permaculture. Aquaponics. Algae lighting. Compostable products that turn into fields of flowers. Buy Nothing organizations. Tiny, beautiful, efficient homes. Solar power cells you can see through. That’s all happening now. Solarpunk is within our grasp, at least on a personal level. I’m not saying there aren’t still big, ugly infrastructures devoted to unethical consumption, but we can start to tear them down. We can build a solarpunk world with stories and small changes. And small changes lead to big changes. That’s the real beauty of solarpunk. It’s not a post-apocalyptic power fantasy. It’s not a wistful daydream, or an elite future only for physicists. It’s something we can work towards right now. It’s tangible.

equius x reader headcanons? hes my favorite guy and i love him a lot
[how i feel making requests]
"not out of desire or shame but some subconscious impulse to feel pain"
behind all the muscle and his barely-kept-together mental state, is someones whos very, sickly sweet.
he doesnt show it in the most direct ways. maybe not the most socially acceptable ways, either. but hes in love with you. dear jegus believe him, he truly is.
when he met you he was initially taken aback. his etiquette and morals failing him because you were so different. and so intoxicating. and so nice.
he needed a towel.
but, seriously, it took awhile before he actually took his feelings seriously. first he floated around you, more often sitting at his computer, drumming his fingers and waiting for a message to come in.
hed ask all his friends (from every caste) about you, waxing poetically about how you spoke, how you behaved, how you looked.
ofcourse, in the early days those admiring comments were mixed with some hints of distaste. old habits die hard, and no matter what caste you are- lord forbid if youre human- he'll have some choice words to say about the colour of your blood. but, really, its all nothing to him. every negative thought gets mixed with the positive ones, and the longer he talks, the negative ones just.. fade away.
either nepeta or karkat would tell him that he seemed oddly interested in you. he tried his hardest to ignore that.
but with every message you exchanged with eachother, something seemed to blossom inside of him. you kept catching him off guard and left him fumbling with his feelings. though he;d be too stubborn to tell you about what he felt, ofcourse.
but when you start dating? boy. boy. goodluck getting this man away from you.
hes by your side. always.
personally i think his biggest love languages are quality time and acts of service. he loves being useful to you. whether it'd be picking up groceries or fending off creeps. this man can do it all.
speaking of a) groceries. hes a strong boy, as we all know. i think hed like to show off a bit, bashfully deny you from carrying things yourself and instead doing it for you. he also likes it when other people see him carrying things for you- it fills him with an odd amount of pride. he can do things for you. help you.
and b) creeps. equius will be your personal guard dog, whether he means to or not. hes a very protective person, and you only have to snap your fingers or he'll snap and lunge and bite at whoever is bothering you. whether thats literally or figuratively is up for debate.

hii!! could you tell me what types of alternative each troll is? also i love ur art!
YES !! AND TYSMM (≧▽≦)
I originally planned on writing way more but I accidentally deleted my original explanation which really fucking sucks um
Anywho ill put these under a cut !!
Aradia — White goth, specifically when shes dead though. Trad goth for when she's alive, and cyber goth for when she's a robot [I'll make designs for those eventually]
Tavros — Emo, but in the way that he thinks emo is a clothing style instead of a music genre. He's also based off of Rufioh to show that he got inspo from him
Sollux — A sort of "idgaf" style, will wear whatever he can find but it typically comes off as alt to people who aren't alt, in the way that people get barked at for wearing black
Karkat — Emo, in the way that he knows it's a music genre but will crash the fuck out if he was ever called emo. His style is also just more on the chill side because he seems like the type to hate wearing jewelry
Nepeta — 2020 alt, both because I adore 2020 alt and because it's a reference to how people fanonize her. Originally I was going to make her scene but it just didn't feel right to me
Kanaya — Trad goth, since it just fits in my head. Her being a rainbow drinker and her general vibe just SCREAMED trad goth to me bro
Terezi — I'm not going to lie its based off of my own style in a way. It just wears whatever "tastes the best" which turns out to look crazy as fuck and is how I love to dress personally. She was another who I almost made scene but it just didn't feel right
Vriska — She doesn't have a label because she hates them, but she was made to look like she uses tumblr so take that how you will
Equius — Punk [for irony purposes], but it's more toned down since he's only recently begun to dress differently
Gamzee — His outfit was entirely based off of ICP shit, like his shirt is a reference to the jerseys !!
Eridan — He was originally intended to be emo considering he does listen to midwestern emo, but I chose instead to make his style more of an inbetween one. It's one that makes him feel comfortable while he continues to figure himself out
Feferi — Gyaru!!! Spesifically himegyaru. She was another one whos style was really obvious to me, and she was actually the first one I designed
Yes a lot of them don't have spesific labels, but to me I don't feel like alt NEEDS labels!!! Dress how you want!!! Make people stare!!! Have fun being you!!! Fuck it we BALL!!!
