Nqubeko Mbatha features Africas best gospel artist on his latest album “Heavens Way”
Johannesburg – A yearning soul for Gods presence, A cry for revival. A joyous heart. Words that echoes in “Heavens Way”, the latest offering by the amazing songwriter, producer, composer and musician Nqubeko Mbatha.
Released on March 24, 2017, the album features South African acclaimed gospel singer-songwriter, lyrist: Ps Khaya Mthethwa, Hlengiwe Ntombela, Ntokozo Mbambo: Swaziland’s born afro-soul singer “Bholoja” Mbongiseni Ngubane, sweet-voice Yvonne May from Nigeria and the saxophonist Ayo Solanke.
The project draws on influences from the Southern African traditional gospel sounds and fuses with the modern contemporary classics, a unique melodic harmony which appeal extends to young and old alike.
In the album, Nqubeko pays tribute to a celebrated icon in the gospel fraternity Mr. Mthunzi Namba, A man that played a major role in his musical career. “Harvest Time” A song that births another opportunity for Nqubeko and Ntokozo fans to experience the duo’s wonder works.
