one thing i didn't know about nader, who runs the account @abdalsalam1990 to promote the corresponding gofundme for his older brother abd al salam, is that his father currently has cancer. can you imagine being 17 years old, under siege with a one year-old niece suffering from malnutrition, and trying not to get murdered by israel like your cousin and uncle were, knowing that your father's cancer can't be treated because of how costly it is? i'm 29 and i know i can't imagine that. but for nader, this is real. this is his life.

he's doing his best to ask around for help. but he needs all the help he can get. as everyone should know by now, the costs of basic necessities in gaza have been inflated to an extreme degree. people like to imagine that in a crisis situation, supply and demand would no longer apply, capitalists would give resources away, and people would be cared for. that's simply not the reality. many people in gaza live in tents, but those who don't still pay exorbitant rents for bombed-out apartments. the cost of any food at all, even if it's rotten, is exorbitant. and cancer treatment is expensive. nader and his family have to deal with all of this while trying to save up what they can in hopes that the rafah crossing will re-open and they'll be able to evacuate.

all that said: how can you help nader? if you have a little money, you can donate. if you have a blog, you can spread this post and others about him. and if you have the time, you can go to nader's blog and talk to him directly and ask how you can help. he'll answer, and his english is pretty good.

has this ever happened to U?

sometimes when ur working on a drawing in mspaint, it will start to inexplicably consider a colour u have used as a new, separate colour, even though its exactly the same. i don't know exactly what will cause it, but i figure it might have to do w/ transparency. it never happens right out the gate, typically happens if i've been working on a drawing for a while.

its worth noting any colour can be added to the third palette row again even if it already exists in the default palette so that alone isn't an indicator that this is ur issue. if you use custom colours a lot, double check their values too.

anyways, its anoying ... as f*ck. thankfully the solution is rlly simple.

select your entire canvas, cut the drawing and re-paste it back in. this should get rid of the problem for every colour on ur pic. saves a lot of wasted time fixing each individual area.

this will work regardless of what colours u have selected as col1 and col2. it will also work regardless of whether you have transparency on or off.

The studio that ‘made’ Coca-Cola’s AI Christmas advert apparently produced 85 *minutes* worth of footage of only which 15 seconds were remotely usable.

Those 15 seconds included 10 cuts because everything over 1.5 seconds probably morphed into something horrible. In the ad a bottle changes sizes constantly, vacuous Christmas imagery and some weird uncanny valley faces.

Not posting it because fuck em, but you can go see for yourself if you wish.

atla crossover eeeee

i was rewatching atla and decided to make a crossover because i couldnt get rid of this idea (to be honest im not very happy with jake and striders and maybe jane designs but i didnt have enough imagination)

i thought that these are like pieces from the lands of different nations (the fire nation the earth kingdom etc) and jade carries them with her and it kind of reminds her of her friends and all that uhhh yeaahhh

and also jake is a metal bender but i couldnt figure out how to show it lol

i would draw art like with rose for all kids but i dont have the time and energy and in general ive been working on this crossover for a long time blehhh maybe someday
