Blue hat | Final Collage + scribbles animation
Tumblr media
Finally done with the collage + scribble animation
Wasn't that difficult to achieve the final outcome.
Motion tracked each scribble animation to different null objects in AE, animated the scale, rotation and position.

Final Blue hat clip 01
Work in process snaps
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I got new images downloaded, since this is the blue hat video I wanted somethings to have blue so I included a sky picture and searched for some blue fungi. I also added soil on the bottom for some space to draw the digital scribbles on krita.

These two images I took for reference when working on the digital scribbles in krita.

Final Yellow hat clip 02
Work in progress of yellow hat worked on the 2nd test render video clip.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I separated the light painting from the clip and changed the color tone and speed. I masked the light painting from the background and feathered the masked subject. I also used duplicates of the light painting animation part for extra entities for the animation.
After that I did another small color correction in Davinci to give the background a touch of yellow.

Final Yellow hat clip
Making of the the yellow hat clip
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the light I used the flash from my phone. I covered the excess parts of the light source in the screen printing room so there is not much reflection of light captured by the camera.

After organizing the pictures in Ae, I set the speed at which the whole clip would play and I set to around 5and a half seconds. Afterwards I set a gaussian blur to some images that look sharp because Some images I took from the camera are blurred so I blurred out the images that looked sharp to match with the rest.
At first I tried morphing the sand animation thinking that it might look good but I compared it with one which don't have it and decided to go without the morph effect.
Then in Davinci I set the color tone to make it look more like yellow as this is the Yellow hat.
Looking at the final clip I wasn't quite happy so I went back to my very first clip I did as a test. I used that to work with for the final.

Final Green hat clip
Here goes the the Clay animation + 2D digital animation.
Also quite satisfied with the final out come of this clip as well.
All thanks to Chandula for helping me get a camera.
After having look at this final clip I feel like I should make the water spraying end sooner and allow the clay change reveal more. will see how the feedback goes and I might change this along.

Work in progress of the clay animation + 2D digital animation
Tumblr media
Didn't use much reference images for any particular drawings I did for this project clip. I used some toothpicks to hold the clay stay up and firm.
Had many layers of drawings:
First being the original clay animation. I hid the purple clay using a cropped area from the space next to it. I used the clay there to hold the entire wire and clay of the can and hand to have some balance. Then a layer for the background plants, another for fungi and Fungicides water. I also added a sun to make it look like it's happening during day time.

Here is the final clip of the White hat.
Really happy with this result. If there is any changes I need to make after the feedback I'm hoping to get, I'm excited to do so.
Although there were a few things I wanted to include in this project clip, this looks like it conveys the idea I wanted it to with those materials.
Unfortunately I couldn't take a behind the scene shot of me working for this one as I was eager on get the pictures soon before I forget any steps of making the project.

Work in progress of the paper cut out animation
Tumblr media
After cropping and brightening up each frame, I got into stretching the pre composed video in Ae. When I imported the images into Ae it wouldn't let me work straight away, multiple screens popped up that wanted me to edit the images individually.
After all that, I managed to make this clip roughly around 5 and a half seconds.
Since I took images from different angles and lengths, I fixed that problem too here.

Test render of collage animation
Here is a draft test render of the collage animation.
This is also my initial idea for the whole collage animation.
I will get more proper detailed images for the final.
