30 day coloring challenge

Day 13: Create a coloring for gifs, specifically file size reduction (x)

The hero frowned slightly at her question and glanced out at the vast expanse of Lake Floria, chewing on his bottom lip momentarily. Time era? Was that a thing he was supposed to know?

"I- I don't..." He started hesitantly, tripping over his words and flushing slightly on the cheeks. "I don't know, they didn't teach us that in the Knight Academy..." Link swallowed thickly. Maybe they taught that, but he was too sleepy, or he was sleeping, in the moment that was mentioned? "We could talk to Headmaster Gaepora if you'd like. Maybe he knows."

"Hey!"

The hero turned his head and spat out water, turning back to the fairy and narrowing his eyes. With water up to his collarbones, he swam over to the shore after silent moments of intense glaring, but how could he ever get mad at such tiny creature?

"What was that for?" He hoisted himself out of the body of water, clothes and hair dripping, beads of crystaline liquid fell onto the green blades of grass and slipped down towards the soil. Link only wished she had done something else, he mused as he removed one boot and turned it over; these would take time to completely dry on the inside.

Link squeezed his socks in one fist, wondering what he would do now that his clothes were wet and the only way to dry them was to hang every piece somewhere under the sun… That would leave him and his new friend in a very uncomfortable position.

He grinned at her as she bowed, and mimicked her actions, though his bow was not was smooth as hers due to his sitting position. “It’s nice to meet you, Navi!” The boy held out a hand, then recoiled four of his fingers, leaving only one pointing out towards her. So many names he did not recognize, Hylia was the only one that he knew, and he thought of his blonde friend for a brief second. Now, she was his fairy?

Now it could not be that bad to have a companion to go about the surface with him, now that the one given to him was gone. But just who was this Legendary Hero?

The hero turned his head and spat out water, turning back to the fairy and narrowing his eyes. With water up to his collarbones, he swam over to the shore after silent moments of intense glaring, but how could he ever get mad at such tiny creature?

"What was that for?" He hoisted himself out of the body of water, clothes and hair dripping, beads of crystaline liquid fell onto the green blades of grass and slipped down towards the soil. Link only wished she had done something else, he mused as he removed one boot and turned it over; these would take time to completely dry on the inside.

With a huff, Link combed his wet fringe back with his fingers and glanced to the left, berating himself for not leaving with his sword. “I guess you can,” he grumbled, unwilling to meet the demon’s eyes, and summoned the strength needed to get his numbing body moving to a standing position.

As water dripped from his body and he made his way to dry ground, he inquired. “What are you even doing here?” With Demise gone, all had expected him to be gone as well, or at least in some far away place, doing whatever demon lords did.

The water chilled Link to the bones, fingers curling inwards as a shudder raced throughout his form. He had not expected that the clear liquid would be warm, but, truthfully, he had not expected that it would be this cold.

As his limbs relaxed after the shock, he rolled over, sitting in the pool and glaring up at his assaulter, frown deepening at the sight of the red clad Demon Lord. Blond hairs stuck to his face uncomfortably, and his fingers were starting to feel numb, yet the boy could only stare at him, throat working to speak.

"What do you want?" He managed to say, voice coming out hoarse, and tried to be discreet when clearing his throat, but it sounded too loud, even for his own ears.

One of her friends? He had to smile as she rested atop his head, his usually puffy hair flattened down to his skull due to the wetness. "Don't worry about it." He reassured her with a grin, looking up at her darting form and wondering how so much energy could be stored inside such a little being.

Something she said, though, caught his attention immensely. He looked like Link - another Link? There were more of him out there? But how? The surface was not inhabited by Hylians, only other creatures. Was it possible that someone survived after Hylia sent humans to the sky?

He kept his expressions in check as he took off his other boot and both his socks. "I'm Link," he confirmed her suspicions as he twisted his socks, and left out the part in which he asked her just who were these other Links. "I was patrolling, making sure there were no bokoblins in sight and that everything is in order."

The boy looked up at her then, a grin replacing his serious features. "And who are you?"
