here's a lateral view of Charaxes jasius to show just how shaped these things are from every angle. this one has a stumpy body (and huge head) due to a recent molt, so it doesn't look that silly standing on just its prolegs, but longer ones raise their bodies up even higher in what i like to call the sauropod stance
