pick-me-ups for writers

for the self-conscious beginner: No one makes great things until the world intimately knows their mediocrity. Don’t think of your writing as terrible; think of it as preparing to contribute something great.

for the self-conscious late bloomer: Look at old writing as how far you’ve come. You can’t get to where you are today without covering all that past ground. For that, be proud.

for the perfectionist: Think about how much you complain about things you love—the mistakes and retcons in all your favorite series—and how you still love them anyway. Give yourself that same space.

for the realist: There will be people who hate your story even if it’s considered a classic. But there will be people who love your story, even if it is strange and unpopular.

for the fanfic writer: Your work isn’t lesser for not following canon. When you write, you’ve created a new work on its own. It can be, but does not have to be, limited by the source material. Canon is not the end-all, be-all. 

for the writer’s blocked: It doesn’t need to be perfect. Sometimes you have to move on and commit a few writing sins if it means you can create better things out of it.

for the lost: You started writing for a reason; remember that reason. It’s ok to move on. You are more than your writing. It will be here if you want to come back.

I really like this post. Oh, no, lemme correct that. I LOVE this discussion.

Disclaimer: all I wrote was solely based on observation and speculation (copy that from @daesungindistress) from all I read and see about todae’s interaction.

I began to ship todae in June 2015. I could say I was not a fan of BIGBANG as whole, but only Daesung since 2011. But then this whole shipping things made me realize something between Daesung and TOP. As a fanfic writer with a collection of canon drabbles, I think I have a wild imagination of romantic things happen between them, but it solely for my fanfic.

My friend and I discussed about ToDae since we got into shipping pairs in BB (she’s an avid fan of nyongtory) and we believe that those pairs are more than just a friend, but less than lovers would be, especially todae. We would put label to the pairs, like this:

Youngbae x Big Seunghyun: The Papa and Mama (when Mama can’t handle the boys, Papa will act as the police –Big Seunghyun is the last resort of seniority for he’s the oldest one)

Youngbae x Lil Seunghyun: Mama loves the youngest child

Youngbae x Daesung: Church mates

Youngbae x Jiyong: Best Friend Forever

Lil Seunghyun x Daesung: The youngest who drag his shy brother to everywhere

Lil Seunghyun x Big Seunghyun: Seungwhores, Selca Mania Couple, Papa who always hard to his youngest but secretly adores the youngest so much

Jiyong x Big Seunghyun: Rapper Line, Swag Couple

Jiyong x Daesung: Koala and The Tree –Ji loves to hug Daesung so much.

Jiyong x Lil Seunghyun: Push and Pull couple.

So, back to discuss about Todae. I want to respond at the question asked. Technically it’s not a question but…

Yes, Tabi was the only one member who never went to support any of Dae’s solo concert BUT he wrote a letter when Daesung had his D’scover Tour. He never failed to contact Daesung EVERYDAY.

Then for hanging out. If you dig a little deeper, there are photos of ToDae spotted hanging out together: in Hongdae around 2010/2011, in a night club around 2012/2013, etc. I think the reason why ToDae isn’t always spotted together, other than they are homebody people and introverted ones (?), is because they had spent a lot of time together. Daesung is always on call for Seunghyun (weekly idol), Daesung almost always at home in his days off (interview everywhere) and they (probably) enjoy drinking wine together as they share love for wine (Daesung’s interview in Japan TV and TOP’s vLive broadcast).

So, yeah. That’s the response.

 But if you need something to “believe” on ToDae, I may do my best to show you? :)

 Sweet kisses for Daesung from Seunghyun. I believe Tabi has a lot of love to share since he was showered with love by his family for he is the youngest, thus, he becomes a Mama’s Boy. This applies to the three oldest members of BB. Hyung x Maknae Line in BB is the sweetest thing that ever happened, to which the oldest men are clingy to their youngest one. BB’s early years had given us photos of Tabi tried to peck Daesung. Not to mention in a romantic way, but the peck was quite like, “Ugh, you’re so cute Hyung wants to kiss you, hug you and kiss you again” feeling. This quite lessening after Yeonjun (Tabi’s cousin) came to world and Tabi has another person to ease his giddy feeling about something cute (Daesung is cute!)

Whispering. Sure BIGBANG whispers to each other but if ones squints their eyes, you’ll find lots of ToDae whispers to each other in a very close proximity. They also make distance with their microphone, as if every conversation is a secret between them. I bet they always make fun to each other or making fun other person for their entertainment only :p

Not Hyung x Maknae, but more like friends (remember the caption Seunghyun put on their selca in IG? “My friend” instead “my dongsaeng”, he wrote for the other members). While Seunghyun puts his oldest Hyung title active for JiTaeSeung, he doesn’t with Daesung. Thus, calling Daesung whenever he feels down and Daesung will come like a friend should be. You (almost) can’t do it even with your siblings.

Hugs/Holding hands. CMIIW, like a pair of old friends should be, their hands automatically move to each other’s body. Hugging lowers your heart rate and when Tabi is excited, he tends to come to Daesung to ease his excitement. It seems like Tabi knows Dae would be there to receive his hug. I don’t know what they do off screen, but if Dae hugs Tabi, it also could alleviate his fears and protects him from stress.

 I honestly do not know how to end this without getting romantic for ToDae relationship –blame my hardcore shipper instinct- but honestly, like what I said above, in BIGBANG, their relationship is past a friendship stage. Hell, they went through many things together and have (almost) only each other (Taeyang once said).

Once again, all of the aforementioned are solely my opinion :) and thanks for reading my ramble tho :)

I used to love Todae too but then realized they're prob not very close off camera. :( Top was the only member who never went to support any of Dae's solo concerts even though he was free and was also in Japan at the time. But he was able to go to GD's concert twice during the same period. Top and Dae are also never spotted hanging out together when it's not for work related stuff.

Awww man. That’s really upsetting about T.O.P not going to Dae’s solo concerts. I had no idea (I’ve only been a huge fan for about a year aha). I suspected that it was only really an on-camera thing, but I guess we’ll never know.
