Seriously, I have had enough of them villifying Miguel and downplaying Miguel and Sam's relationship as something Miguel gaslights and saying how Sam is miserable when she is together with Miguel and only truly happy when she is with Robby. I even had enough of them glazing Robby and saying how he is the real protagonist when it is clearly Johnny and Daniel. If I keep doing that, I think I will go insane.

Worse is when everybody sees it but they say nothing or think it's justified because often it's hidden under fake well-wishing and constructive criticism or just the fact that other characters have it worse than him.

YOU CAN MAKE OTHER CHARACTERS AND THEIR STORYLINES GREAT AND MEANINGFUL AND TRIUMPHANT WITHOUT TAKING AWAY FROM MIGUEL. 👏👏 But unfortunately, this kind of hatred is something I keep seeing in this fandom and it effing disappoints me to the point that it kills the joy in fandoming. Because who tf wants to see their character being trashed upon by literally everyone.

How I Would Have Rewritten Cobra Kai Season 2

Kreese trying to manipulate Miguel and Hawk first and then more of Johnny’s students as they still deal with Miyagi-Do until he gets all of his students and against Johnny by the end of the season instead of trying to manipulate Johnny just to get back into the Cobra Kai dojo (except Miguel and Aisha). He trains the students to be merciless and cruel during public fights. 

Miguel’s dilemma between fully embracing the negative Cobra Kai lessons and Johnny’s new lesson about fighting with mercy and honor being further emphasized, and antagonizing Robby throughout the season due to resentment and jealousy concerning Sam.

Johnny making more of an effort to be in Robby’s life.

Robby gradually becoming a more morally conflicted character due to mistrust towards Cobra Kai, his relationship issues with Johnny and Shannon, his home situation, and antagonism from Cobra Kai. His issues are expanded on throughout the season so that way his crippling of Miguel makes sense.

Show Miguel yearning for a father figure.

Sam and Robby don’t have cringe lines like “I like the heat.”

Sam and Sam and Tory’s rivalry focuses on Aisha throughout the first 4 episodes. That way, Tory will be introduced in Episode 1 and be friends with Aisha. Sam and Tory clash over their differences. Sam wants Aisha to stay out of trouble while Tory wants Aisha to be herself , break a few rules, and not be influenced by the rules of society. Eventually, Aisha chooses Tory over Sam after Sam accuses Tory at the beach club.

Sam and Miguel don’t kiss. Instead, Sam tries to kiss him, but Miguel stops her, which makes Tory jealous.

The brawl taking place at Moon’s party. Nobody wins because the cops arrive. Miguel, Sam, and Tory have their 

Sam and Tory having their street fight after school. Tory still slashes Sam’s arm but gets detained by the police when she is about to disfigure her. That way, Sam’s PTSD arc makes more sense.

Miguel and Robby fight at the warehouse at the junkyard where he and his Cobra Kai teammates trained after Miguel finds out Robby lied about the medal, thus validating his feelings that Robby was trying to steal Sam away in the first place. There is no dialogue between them during the fight because Miguel has already antagonized Robby enough for the latter to snap at this point, so they are both fighting with anger. Miguel’s moment of mercy and Robby’s moment of no mercy is still present. He kicks Miguel so hard into a pillar that it breaks his back in the process. The police arrive and Robby still runs away.

It’s funny because when you ask a crazy Miguel/Johnny fan why they want Miguel to win they answer “the show started with Miguel, it should end with him” (which is valid) BUT they are usually also the same fans that dismiss Sam completely and argue that Tory should win because she had a hard life…but the show started with Sam, didn’t it?
