Truly wouldn't be fitting if Ash didn't meet back up with his butterfree.
Catterpie was one his first ever pokemon he caught in the wild, and the first he released to be with their soul mate.
I'm going to be a wreck when this scene happens in the show, as I'm sure many others will be too.
