“Israeli artist Ronit Bigal meticulously presents excerpts from sacred Biblical texts on the human body in her Body Scripture IIseries. Like Allan Teger’s Bodyscapes, Bigal gets in close to the contours of the human form, re-imagining the body as an abstract landscape. On the grooved, fleshy expanse, the artist systematically applies black Indian ink calligraphy in Hebrew that reveals passages of scripture.”

Raphael Vicenzi, better known as Mydeadpony, is a self taught illustrator living in Brussels, Belgium. His illustration and watercolour techniques are influenced by fashion illustration, street art , collages & typography. Mixing digital media, painting and sketches and drawing on watercolours, splotches and textures, he creates immensely detailed images representing things that go through his mind at some point in time: “I do hope that sometimes people can find some connections to my work because they’ve been there as well.” Mydeadpony is inspired by good art, books, life & unexpected happy accidents and shares his inspiration on his Tumblr. My poster design has a sibling! Derogatory use of the term “retarded” is every bit as harmful as that of “gay”, and it deserves just as much to be replaced with more accurate, less harmful vocabulary. Plus, y’know, they look cute side by side.
