“You’re so hard on yourself. Take a moment. Sit back. Marvel at your life: at the grief that softened you, at the heartache that made you wiser, at the suffering that strengthened you. Despite everything you still grow. Be proud of this.”

🌱Self Love Affirmations🌱
I am worthy of receiving the love I give.
I have enough. I do enough. I am enough.
I am proud of myself and all I have accomplished.
I choose to stop apologizing for being me.
I accept myself unconditionally.
I am becoming more confident everyday.

✨Witchy Uses For Tea✨
A good way to unwind and replenish your energy after a spell or ritual is to relax with some tea.
🌱TEA TYPES🌿
Green tea- fire, passion, healing, love, sexuality
Oolong tea- reflection, wisdom, concentration
Black tea- earth, water, strength, stability, energy, cleansing
White tea- happiness, wisdom, purification (compliments moon energy very well)
Rose tea: love, compassion, psychic abilities, good luck, protection
Herbal tea- very versatile; best uses depend on herbs used. Examples are peppermint, spearmint, rooibos, etc.
✨ WITCHY USES 💫
If you are performing a ritual or spell that involves sending positive energies out into the universe, steep the tea nearby while it is taking place. Drink the tea when you are done- this will allow you to replenish your energies, leaving you less drained
Brew loose tea and read the tea leaves!
Drizzle honey into the tea in sigil patterns. Stirring the tea charges it (clockwise if you are attracting something, counterclockwise if you are banishing something) and drinking it activates it!
Brew your tea with distilled drinking water that has been charged with the sun/moon to give your magic a boost!
Make your own tea blends to compliment and refine your intent
Store tea leaves/tea bags near crystal grids to charge them before brewing- the longer you charge and the stronger you brew it, the stronger the magic will be
You can add things like lemon, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne, and give your magick some oomph
You can spread tea leaves (moist, dry, used, unused, etc) as offerings, mix them into or add them on top of the soil to help plants grow (bonus if they’ve been used in healing or growth spells!), add them to melted wax for a personalized candle, etc; the possibilities are basically endless

I should have been loved right now, I should be lying in your arms and I should be drowning in your love
For months I have asked myself
Why was I not deserving of your love?
Why did you spend months taking care of my garden, watering my flowers and admiring the beauty
Only to suddenly set fire to every flower and never come back?
Why do I now have to try to extinguish your fire with my tears?
Why am I no longer drowning in your love, but drowning in my garden?
Why?

♡ how to make lavender milk ♡
Tumblr media
happy full moon in aries! today i am showing you guys how to make lavender milk ♡ lavender has been prized for centuries for its gentle healing properties & soothing fragrance. as most of you already know, every year i grow lavender in my garden. throughout the season i harvest the plant (when the purple flowers are bright and young), tie the branches together, and hang in a cool dark place to dry. the dried lavender can be used in beauty products, aromatherapy, baking, tea, herbal remedies, spiritual rituals, and in drinks! when ingested, lavender can help promote relaxation and sleep.
lavender milk is floral, pretty, and comforting. the flavour is at once fragrant and light from the flowers, but full, warm, and sweet from the milk and honey. i use nut milk (almond or cashew), because i think the nuttiness pairs well with the slightly bitter lavender, complimented by the addition of raw honey and pure vanilla extract. raw honey, ideally ethically and locally produced, still carries a range of health benefits that processed honey does not. it is antibacterial, antiviral, and soothing. give this recipe a try & experience the healing powers of drinking lavender ♡
ingredients:
♡ 1 cup nut milk (cashew or almond tastes best. if you’re allergic, you can use soy, rice, flax, or oat milk. you could also use a flavoured alternative milk- try vanilla!)
♡ 2-3 tablespoons of lavender, more or less depending on how strong you want the lavender flavour to be.
♡ 1 tsp of raw honey or more to taste
♡ ¼ tsp vanilla extract
directions:
in a small pot, combine milk and dried lavender. let simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes (do not boil- the goal is to achieve a nice infusion of lavender, which involves a longer, slower heating process. you don’t want to scorch the milk or flowers!), longer if you desire a stronger flavour. you’ll notice the lavender beginning to lose its colour. remove pot from heat, strain, and compost the flowers. while it’s still hot, dissolve a teaspoon or more of raw honey to taste, and add the ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract. and there you have it, your own lavender milk! fragrant, soft, and delicate. let it lull you to sleep or incorporate it into your relaxation routine. you can try this recipe with a variety of other edible flowers, like rose, chamomile or borage, or a blend of flowers! nothing will make you feel more like a princess ♡

“If you feel like you cannot move on from whatever you are going through at the moment, remember this: six months ago, or twelve months ago, or two years ago, you thought the same. You were in a position that threatened all that was hopeful within you; you did not think you would survive. But six months ago, or twelve months ago, or two years ago - you did. You did. You woke up in the morning. You pushed through the mess, you dug yourself out of the hurt. You held on to whatever light you found within your days, you pressed it into yourself whenever you could, reminding yourself that goodness still existed, that the softness was still there. Six months ago, or twelve months ago, or two years ago, you fought your way out of the dark. You fought to be here. You have the strength to save yourself. You always have. Please, don’t ever forget that.”

Quick reminder that we are going through a global pandemic right now, which is a major stressful event.
It is stressful even if no one you know is sick.
It is stressful even if you are working from home.
It is stressful even if you have no work / school responsibilities.
You are entitled to your stress. You may find yourself crying randomly, or getting randomly angry, or super tired, or bouncing off the walls, or unable to keep a thought in your head for more than 30 seconds. This is an expected stress response.
Give yourself a break. The world is not normal right now. Focus on just getting through it as best you can, utilizing whatever coping methods do the job. This is not forever.
