she hates the thalmor. she also wants to peg the thalmor

when asked to choose between hadvar or ralof, she responded "hadvar every time"

i've said it before and i'll say it again, do you ever think about how dagoth ur managed to hold the red mountain for hundreds & hundreds of years? it was 3vs1, talk about fake ass tribunal gods. or alternatively dagoth was so competent with his godhood and warfare that the tribunal just couldn't secure access to the heart no matter what even though they desperately needed to replenish their powers yearly. whichever it was, almsivi were so scared that all they could do effectively was to scribble booklets of how he's the satan. it's pretty clear who's actually worth the worship here tbh

reintroduction for Marelea, my first skyrim spawn. bosmer stripped of instincts and needs that was molded into an ugly abomination by some shady, but smart!, individuals. shameless mary sue o' mine. sort of a failed 'superior lifeform' so.. fittingly, it has an incredible capacity for magicka as a result of the… let's say… experiment done on it. simpled down the initial design it had just a little bit. 🍀🔮🎎☀

i tossed and flipped its story around a bunch of times in my head and i think i finally reached an idea i like the most. it washes up on solstheim and is a temporary captive of tel mithryn after talvas discovers it. Give it a year or two; it just becomes a raven rock based menace (terrorist) and an adversary to neloth, headache to all. talvas is the only one to call it a "she" just because that makes it easier for him to empathize with Marelea.

Imagine how good the Elder Scrolls could be if the writers stopped throwing darts at the Daedric Princes whenever they needed a new villain of the week, or at least remembered that the fundmental distinction between the Daedra and their counterparts is that the Daedra chose not to give of themselves to make Mundus and that as much as they are fascinated by mortals they are, being inextricably tied to their nature, fundamentally alien to mortality.

I personally find them more satisfying as being dangerous because they act in accordance with their sphere without reservation rather than just being slightly reskinned Evil Demon Gods.

Like you kiiiiiind of get that with Hircine but explain to me why the servants of the goddess of night and darkness and luck, for example, are universally malicious and cruel and tormented just because? By all means let them be dangerous and scary but the cartoonish evil-for-its-own-sake is so much more boring than the alternative idea of "The royalty of Oblivion is capricious and considers mortals fun to watch or fuck around with or occasionally use as tools/pawns/champions while they're all busy playing 16 way, 5 dimensional chess with each other for some purpose we do not and likely cannot understand."

who is The Prisoner. or is that just a term for All Tes Protagonists since they all (or almost all?? whayever) start as prisoners

so, roughly, you're correct, it refers to the player characters. in some senses, it also refers to the player themself. a lot of what seht says here can have double meanings, as most things he says do.

the player is free of the script. they are confined to it as long as they allow themself to be (such as playing the game), while the other npcs cannot leave, or "see through the bars". the prisoner walks between realities; the npcs are tied to theirs.

i presume you mean iduni my BELOVED awful woman.

iduni was one of almalexia's handmaidens pre-first council. she adored ayem from the get-go and absolutely worshiped the ground she walked on. eventually, ayem caught wind of this and she found iduni attractive, so they began to sleep together. (their feelings were very imbalanced from the get-go. while ayem was fond of her, she did not love her; iduni, on the other hand, was head over heels.)

of course, ayem married nerevar. this broke iduni's heart, but in my canon, their marriage was a political one, not one of love. ayem told iduni their affair could continue (she knew damn well nerevar was gonna sleep around, so she was too) and while iduni was hesitant, she accepted & agreed.

over the decades (yes it lasted for decades) iduni pleaded with ayem to just...leave nerevar. she was convinced nerevar wasn't worth it. he couldn't be, could he? he wasn't that great and he didn't give her any power she couldn't have taken herself, right? just...leave him.

ayem refused, but wasn't offended. she found iduni's jealousy endearing. over time, iduni became increasingly resentful of nerevar until one day she just straight up told ayem she could kill nerevar and the world would be better for it. she told ayem she'd help her do it. she'd help her kill nerevar, if she'd just do it.

ayem was, finally, annoyed and told iduni she'd gone too far. she wouldn't do that and iduni needed to remember her place. frustrated, heartbroken, and angry, iduni left.

fast forward a handful of years, foul murder happened. over the course of those years, iduni was infected with vampirism. she lived to see almalexia's rise and her fall. iduni is still around as of the modern era in skyrim. she's still resentful, still in love, and still in mourning.
