In the Albert Finney musical version of Scrooge, they did a big show stopping tune when Scrooge died in the shadow of Christmas's future. It was a parade, and they thanked him for dying.
Scrooge was a little ragamuffin scamp compared to these guys
getting murdered and millions of people joke about your death is some real modern Christmas Carol shit. that's crazy
but the comparison isn't fair bc scrooge saw tiny tim and wondered what he could do to help. healthcare CEOs deny medical care to dying kids all the fucking time without a second thought
