I just realized that im posting in reverse again. This is my 1929 dodge brothers fast six. The body i spoke of in the last post. Gonna be channeled over the frame 4 1/2". When its set on the middle frame rails will be only visable 1/4" due to the 3/4" rubber body mounts that will be used. The interestin thing is im actually keeping the hood and side covers. Every rat just hangs the engine in the wind. I wanna be diferent. However its cool as shit to see the engine so it will be easy to remove ;) Night all

On a more positive note. Tada!! Lazy ass got some shit done. Frame tacked up all in place with the proper angles and alignment front to rear. Next is engine and trans cross members and a driveshaft loop. Then in goes the engine and trans. Body on top and all the little stuff like brakes and stearing. You know the non-essentials.

Well.... Got my Christmas lights up finaly. Lol. Need to troubleshoot so no abs srs tpms or esp. Back to no driver aids. I love it wheel spin hand brake fun you know the fun stuff that is all about being fun and inefficient. But the lights are killin me. More than likely its a wheel speed sensor all crusted up from salt and winter bs.

Huh. I guess its summer in January. By the way my car tells the clock on the radio what time it is. Radio is a full minute ahead. Always!! And temp on car is right but radio is hit or miss. Once again the radio gets its temp from the car.
But 9" screen baby!! Smooth and in dash like its ment to be there. Guess time and temp aint all that important when its already in my cluster. But i know its there… Mockin me.
Sleep now. Nomore shitposting.

News flash all!! So not much is happening in the world of me. Working long hours and havent had much time to actually get cool things done. That said, we had a wicked hail storm come through and tosted my roof, gutters, siding and awnings. Insurance is picking up the tab at least most of it. Installing a outside venting hood/microwave over the range. Had the plumbers install a power vent water heater cuz i didnt have time or want too. I also removed the chimney and garage heater exhaust stack i dont use anymore. Cant take all the cred for the chimney my buddy helped alot!! So dispite no car work going down still busy. Plus i bought a awd irs for my mk6 jetta. Things are gonna get good soon hopefully. Thats all for now fokes, signing off till life gives me some time for cool stuff again. Later

My other new toy. 5.9 Cummins ve pump 92 w250.  Fixed some stuff. New drivers door and all seals and felts, extreme Dynomat on the firewall and floors, new windshield cuz,,,, oops, and odds and ends all over.
Wishlist is some 35 x 12.5 baja claws and carpet.
I have a ton of cool stuff laying around to do to it but just not quite ready yet.
I put a new stack on it but i think im going to pull it off.  I like it but it kills in the cab and to make it quieter would require me to have a taller garage.  See i keep my trailer out back and the stack would need to be taller than the cab to stop the ridiculous resonance it has inside right now. So poo on my 150 bucks i spent to do the stack right.
This truck has my shadowbolt tag on it.  You know i still got my purple and black paint from the other truck.  Maybe i will give her a new look to more suit the plate. I really want to.

Ok so did some work to my new jetta. Coil-overs, tinted tails, Flowmaster exhaust, rainbow tint headlights, new stereo with an awesome wallpaper :), and my wagons old shoes.
The wheels had to go.  I liked them on the wagon not the sedan. so got some blq rotiforms in the flavor of 18 x 8.5 et45 with a set of 225/40 rubbers.  Im getting older and decided to not have much stretch or super low car for a daily.  She still has the splash guards in the wheel wells.  It rubs lightly on hard bumps and corners.  I might have to hand in my euro car guy card.

Got new wheels!!! Like forever ago. I rock at keepin my blog up to date. There was a bit of stretch needed.
Front: 215 45 on a 18x9 et35 Rear: 225 45 on a 18x10 et35
Final fit is perfect.
My powder coat guy did fantastic. Base coat of metallic silver followed by shocker yellow. Then a bit of gold flake for that sparkle taste.

Wheels on! Kind of a big surprise, they ride fantastic for a 40 series. Mirror covers are next. They get the same dip as the wheels. Then I think I'm done for this season. Lol those of you that know me it's not a lie...... maybe bending the truth? Anyway, I must press on got bills to pay and cars to get steady for the season. And roll in pic 2. Time to start the cutlass. She needs radiator, rear control arms, bushings, intake gasket, shocks and springs for rear. Good news everyone! I got all the parts over the winter. Springs came with the car when I bought it.

OK! So last post of the night. Changed plans. Peeling off the dip revealed how shit the respray of my car really was. Whoever sprayed the car forgot to sand it. But more likely thought adhesion promoter was a substitute for doing a good job. Most the respray came off with the dip. Pic one is all resprayed clear coat sanded off. Pic two all white omni epoxy. Pic three all tape outs done. Mix some black with white. Spray the gray. Then black not pictured. And final shots of paint. My dog Izzy too. And my buddy cross the streets foot.

OK I got ahead of myself. Tore all test dip of my wagon. Then realized.... ooo pics. Damn! So hears the one I got when the rear bumper was the only thing still in dip. This color is cotton candy from DYC. 2 color flip. I mixed this directly into the black self thinned dip in a 8g to one quart variety. Let me tell you, this was instant coverage. I was thrilled so only 2 coats went on. light coats at that. Well here's the tough lesson I learned. Plasti dip must go on thick. At least 2 light tack coats followed by NO LESS THAN 4 heave wet coats of base. Then 3 or more coats of top coat. My and my buddy's hands where wicked tired pulling the thin stuff off. It took forever! So thick application. No cheaping out.
