💞Back To School Glow Up💞
Alright y'all, with school season comin back, here are some prime hoe tips to get y'all ready to slay.
1. Develop a skincare regimen at least once daily: wash, exfoliate*, mask*, toner, essential oils, moisturize.
*once weekly, to avoid overshocking your skin.
2. Tea tree oil is bomb for acne and acne scars. Apply that shit.
3. Coconut oil and castor oil for brow/lash growth every night.
4. Go through your closet, and toss clothes you don’t wear. Invest in more neutral colors and fits to configure a wider variety of cute ass outfits.
5. Don’t be afraid to thrift shop; places like TJ Maxx and The Goodwill have bomb ass brands for cheap.
6. Get your books/supplies ready a week before. Prepare yourself.
7. Have all of your test dates/assignment due dates in your phone before classes start. Make sure to request off days of work the nights before major assignments and exams if you can help it.
8. Things to keep in a bag in your locker: pads/tampons, an extra pair of panties, a spare change of clothes & shoes(in case of a wardrobe malfunction), hairbrush and hairtie, nail file & clippers, makeup remover wipes, concealer, masacara, gum, water bottle, extra pens, some spare cash, phone charger, and earbuds.
9. Keep a water bottle in ya bag at all times. A hoes gotta be hydrated.
10. Keep up with ya studies (see my School and Studying Tips post for more details on how to boost that GPA)
11. A week before school starts, develop getting sleep schedule for school by going to bed half an hour earlier every night. This’ll make waking up earlier less of a hell, trust me.
12. Have a go-to makeup look for school that takes 30 mins or less as a default, if you beat your face in the morning.
13. Replace coffee with tea for a more healthy caffeine fix before class.
14. Prepare yourself a decent breakfast before you go to bed, so you can easily grab and go in the morning. Breakfast kickstarts your metabolism and decreases cravings throughout the day, and generally boosts your mood and brain power.
15. If you wear a uniform, make sure that shit is comfortable and actually fits you. Make sure nothing hangs off of you, cuts off circulation, itches, irritates, etc.
16. Need a break from studying? Work out. Burn some calories, clear your mind, and stimulate your brain with some exercise. Swear to god this keeps my grades up and my body lookin fly.
17. Invest in a hair mask (any pharmacy or makeup outlet will have them), or make one yourself. They make your hair super soft and shiny for flipping it when you walk past that group of girls who hate you lol
Thats all I can think of for now hoes, get good grades, I believe in all of y'all✨

as ur friendly Neighborhood Nursing Student™ i feel somewhat compelled to remind everyone with the hot weather:
every liquid except sea water and alcohol hydrates you. It’s not CHUG WATER OR DIE. in fact, gatorade and the like are designed to hydrate you efficiently.
yeah, this includes coffee and tea and soda. the diuretic is not enough to cancel out the liquid. juices and milk have solids in them, sure, but they’re also mostly liquid! it counts.
your body can only absorb so much water at a time, so chugging 64 oz of water at noon and calling it good will do a wonderful job of flushing your kidneys, but not so much of hydrating your tissues. it’s more important that you’re getting consistent fluid throughout the day.
there’s a lot of fancy ways to determine How Much Water (Liquid) I Should Drink but honestly? 8 oz (1 cup) every other hour on cool days and 8 oz every hour on hot days should be fine (assuming you sleep for a normal amount of time per day…. i’m assuming ur awake 16 hours a day.)
figure out how many oz each of ur favorite cups is. it’ll help your guesstimation.
if ur urine is darker than light yellow, you’re dehydrated.
if u pinch the skin on the back of ur hand for a couple seconds and it takes more than a second or two go to back to normal then ur dehydrated.

Hey everyone so I was told that some of my stories were being posted on wattpad by someone who did not ask me for permission to post them. I don’t post any of my work on Wattpad, I only post them here on tumblr and to find out that my stuff is being posted on another site is upsetting and infuriating. I wanted to let you all know and to at least check out these two accounts to see if your work has been posted by these people as well.

My Pre-Date Get Ready Routine
If you’re extra AF like myself, and are looking to really impress someone and show up with your absolute best face forward…take note.
Let’s say your date is on Saturday, ok?
On Wednesday- deep exfoliate your body. I use a sugar scrub and an exfoliating mitt. Don’t forget to scrub your feet, too! And moisturize with a thick body butter after - I recommend to do this everyday, though. Soft skin is key.
On Thursday- self tan! I love St. Tropez for a healthy glow. I’m pretty pale with warm blonde hair, so having a tan makes me feel like a million bucks. I always put it on overnight, but I make sure I can chill for about an hour before going to bed just to let it fully drive.
On Friday- hair and face mask. For my hair, I recently started using It’s a Ten miracle hair mask. And let me tell you, it truly is a miracle worker. The leave in conditioner is also amazing af. For my face, I first use an exfoliating skin mask and then a hydrating mask. Then moisturize afterwards with a thick moisturizer.
Day of the date: Saturday:
This is an extremely necessary step: have a playlist. No joke, I put on my favourite playlist and blast it. Feel good before you even begin to start getting ready. And if this requires an hour dance party by yourself in your living room, then so be it.
Next, I always start with having an outfit. Most likely I have thought about it days before so I can pick something up if I need to. But I always lay it out on a hanger and spray the perfume I’ll be wearing that night before. I don’t know if this does anything, but I just want the scent to seep into the clothing.
I’ll do my hair before my makeup IF I’m curling my hair so by the time I leave it’ll be nice and loose and messy. IF I’m straightening my hair, I’ll do my face first.
Makeup wise- I love a dewy, flawless face with an extremely well blended contour and peachy pink cheeks and a tiny hint of gold toned highlight at the highest point of my cheekbones. My eyes have a neutral brown shadow blend and either a dark dark brown or black eyeshadow as eyeliner (I find this makes it look more smokey and sexy)  My lips will have a patted-on nude lipstick and right before I leave will have a very thin nude gloss overtop.
Put your outfit on and see if you can apply a tiny bit of highlight on any areas that are exposed. (ex. off the shoulder top= me putting highlight at the sides of my shoulders and collar bones. button down blouse= slightly shimmer highlight over my chest - focusing on collar bones)
Spray perfume on your collar bones and wrists and that’s it. Since it’s on your clothes from earlier, you do not need to douse yourself in perfume. Please.
And that, my friends, is how I get extra ready for someone I want to impress. Someone once told me “When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you do good.” And I apply this to every area of my life.

Ok so
I have a disease where my body produces cells that grow in the wrong place. They grow on my bowels and intestines. This causes severe pain, chronic fatigue, dizziness and lightheartedness, infertility, hormonal issues, and other symptoms that impact my life on a daily basis.
In just that context it sounds serious.
But when I give it condition its proper name–endometriosis–people roll their eyes. People say “oh it’s just a period, everyone with a uterus has to deal with periods, periods suck, toughen up.” People insult me when I say I can’t get out of bed I can’t stand up or keep food down or function.
Endometriosis is serious. It’s debilitating. It’s not just “a bad period.” Please don’t make people with endometriosis feel like they have to justify their symptoms. Please understand the awful reality of this condition

Steps to Dilating
So I thought that because I’m further along my journey, I will share with you some beginner dilating tips and steps that have helped me immensely! Materials: -Dilators (I bought my set from Vaginismus.com) -Your favorite lube (I highly recommend silicone based lube than water based- even coconut oil is a nice natural lubricant you can use) - Candy/favorite snack (if you eat something you enjoy before, during, or after dilating your mind will begin to associate the act of dilating with something positive!) - relaxing music/shows to distract you - a positive attitude!
Tips: 1) Before you dilate you must relax your body and mind. The more stressed you are, the more tense your muscles will be, this includes your pelvic floor muscles. Therefore, I highly suggest before you whip the dilators out do activities to relax you. For me this includes taking a hot shower/bath, deep breathing and massages.
2) Once you are relaxed, get the dilator you are currently on and insert it slowly. If it begins to hurt don’t go any further and only keep it to where you can tolerate it. Keep the current dilator inserted for at least 10 minutes. During this time I like to keep my mind off the dilator by distracting myself (watching YouTube videos, listening to music)
3) If you are comfortable with the current dilator (by comfortable I mean no pain and somewhat easy insertion) try moving onto the next one and keeping it inside (as far as you can get it) for at least 5 minutes.
4) if taking the dilator out is difficult for you (it was for me), try bearing down (as if you were pooping). This maneuver will open up your pelvic muscles and increase the size of the vaginal canal.
5) celebrate any progress you make cause you deserve it!
