In the world of writing, perfection is a mirage
Your first draft is a rough stone, waiting to be carved into a masterpiece. Embrace the chaos of creation, then dive into the depths of revision. Rip apart your sentences, murder your darlings, and resurrect them in a new, more potent form. Writing is rewriting; it's the relentless pursuit of excellence. Each revision polishes your work, revealing its true brilliance. Don't fear the delete key; it is your ally in the quest for literary greatness. Remember, the greatest stories are not written—they are rewritten.

Chapter endings are your story's heartbeat, pulsing with anticipation and excitement
Each conclusion should be a crescendo, leaving readers breathless and eager for more. Infuse your cliffhangers with purpose, ensuring they serve the narrative and deepen the stakes. Whether you unveil a shocking truth, unleash a devastating betrayal, or introduce a new, ominous threat, the cliffhanger should be a masterstroke, propelling the story forward with irresistible momentum. Use this technique to craft an irresistible narrative rhythm, hooking readers at every turn. Leave them hanging, craving resolution, and they'll follow you eagerly to the next chapter, hungry for the next thrill.

characters with no moral code are a lot of fun but characters with their own specific moral code that doesn’t align with the rest of the/their world are on another level always

A quick guide to animal symbolism:
Animals have a long history of symbolism that varies between cultures and customs. As literary tropes develop, some animal symbolism has become universally recognised in the western literary canon. Here are some examples you can use in your writing to give subtext, develop motifs, or promote your thematic content.
🐥 Birds: freedom, hope, escape 🦁 Lions: strength, courage, royalty 🐶 Dogs: loyalty, devotion, protection 🐱 Cats: independence, stealth, mystery 🐺 Wolves: intelligence, nature, wildness 🦊 Foxes: cleverness, cunning, deception 🐍 Snakes: temptation, evil, deceit 🦋 Butterflies: transformation, change, new beginnings 🦉 Owls: wisdom, knowledge, mystery 🦅 Eagles: strength, freedom, nobility ◾ Ravens: death, mystery, the unknown 🕊️ Doves: peace, love, purity 🐻 Bears: resurrection, strength, power, new life 🤘 Bulls: virility, sovereignty, wealth

This was the original script from the TLV manga. Due to CSP's rules, some "violent" scenes were scrapped unfortunately :P
These are the scrapped pieces:

These were the old visual concepts and designs for a manga competition. There will still be old concepts I will revamp.

Welcome, wanderer...
Call me Chexx and welcome to my blog where I post updates on my light novel project, The Little Void.
A unique dark fantasy story, would you like to know more about it?
What is The Little Void about?
In Illusteria, there exists a world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals known as Lumos. These creatures are blessed with special powers of light, and they once lived in peace and harmony with the help of their God, Lady Light Grace, and her trusted crow subjects, known as The Enlighteners. However, their world was soon plagued by a deadly disease called the Void Plague, which turned them into mutilated slime beasts, causing chaos and destruction.
The two crows who were supposed to guide the Lumos disagreed on how to keep their world safe. One of them built a lab and created Glumos - an artificial species designed to assassinate the beasts and find the answer to the plague. However, none of the test subjects succeeded for many years, leaving the fate of the Lumos in great uncertainty. This led them to make each of their own territory, laws, and rules to defend themselves.
One day, a Glumo named Silica was created through an accidental experimental process. Unlike any Lumos created before her, Silica showed exceptional abilities when trained. The scientists wondered if Silica could be the one to unlock the truth behind the plague, or if she would end up like other test subjects before her.
Where can I read The Little Void?
I write my story on Royal Road, a site for web novels and fan fiction. Here's my profile:
