No. It's their job to uphold the law, to serve and protect, not to blatantly conspire against the citizens that pay their salaries and whom they are sworn to protect. Protesters have to conspire bc of behavior like this. Cause and effect. If honesty was a part of the badge, then protesting wouldn't be necessary.

Exactly, this kind of abuse of power is extremely dangerous because it erodes the rule of law. There is very little legitimacy left in the American justice system and people can’t be expected to respect authority when it behaves like this. It’s really hard to see how the US will be able to pull out of the tailspin it’s in.

I’m (silently) losing my shit in my master’s class right now listening to this student’s presentation. How can you be close to getting a masters in urban education and present your final project on the oppression of males??? And quote known MRAs???? What alternate universe class am I sitting in where even my other fellow progressive students are like “whoa that’s so true” to these really gross statements (such as, “It’s natural and normal for males to be more violent and aggressive, but society and schools are set up to cater to girls and the de-masculinization of males”). She literally ended her presentation with the ppt slide that said “We need to let BOYS be BOYS”. And she’s been teaching over 20 years. Yikes.

Damn like where can I go where there are like-minded individuals if a bay area uni urban ed program is still like this.
