Lore Dump!!!

Just an exploration of some of Duchess’ family! There’s a bunch of info on the pics about each character, but the basics are; Celeste is Duchess’ aunt and serves as the guardian of the girls, Princess is Duchess’ little sister, and Raven was adopted into the family when she was around two years old.

I might sketch up some castle designs soon, the idea is just a tad bit daunting as I haven’t done castle design before but you’ve gotta start somewhere right?! I tried using glaze or whatever it’s called so please excuse the weird texture/color change💓

I’m gonna explode if I hear one more person talk about the theory that Raven and Apple were switched at birth. It makes no sense. Literally the only thing is that Raven has black hair and Apple is self centered. The evil queen and the king have black hair and they’re her parents so she has black hair. And yall must’ve not paid attention to the way Snow White was talking to Apple that made it obvious that the reason Apple was only concerned for herself was because of how she was raised. It also didn’t help that they were all told they’d literally die if they didn’t follow their story.

Also Raven literally has magic and Apple doesn’t. Also in the books Raven literally avoids mirrors because she looks so much like her mother.

I'm giving Duchess gifted burnout because I'm sad and I can

Like her being jealous of her classmates with happier endings (better grades/seemingly less stressful lives). And although she's a royal (a "good student" in this allegory), she still has the impending doom of her tragic destiny (knowing her grades will get worse). This causing her to isolate herself and become an irritable person. Even resorting to stealing other's destinies (cheating). Like come on there is absolutely something there

Descedants is a hot mess and it should have ended in the third film, I hate this stupid franchise after what it did to Ever after High. No I will no shut up about this, you cannot make me shut up about this. Ever after high is better than Descendants. The main character litterally drugged her future love intrest in the first film and then in the second film, she tried to cast a spell on the guy to make him forget, you don't do that?? And the guy is seemingly ok with this. Anyways Raven Queen >>>>> Mal. And thats the facts.

i beg of yall to realize there is more to apple than just comphet. that is a facet of her character not all of it.

I do get that. However, the comphet part is looked at a lot because of how many fans relate to it. It is actually a major facet of her character because of how much it ties back into how she like feels like she needs to follow her destiny even if it means that she will never truly be allowed to be who she actually is. I get not wanting to constantly see people talk about it, but it's honestly refreshing to see a fandom talk about heteronormativity and talk about homosexuality when it comes to women and not just men.

in love with how eah would fail a reverse bechdel test if it existed. there's like six guy characters and i cannot for the life of me recall an episode with them that didn't involve any of the girls. the thronecoming day bookball game? they were losing badly and got their asses saved by cerise. dragon games? not a single guy got drafted onto a team. not even daring, the only one who has a confirmed dragon riding license. true hearts day? ashlynn was given comfort by her friends but the writers didn't even have a single scene of hunter being consoled by his friends. this is mattel keeping fifth wave feminism alive

I think it'll be funny if Kitty Cheshire had actual cat ears and human ears and when asked why she has 4 ears she just says "oh these are fake, it's just for the aesthetic" "makes sens-" then she takes off her fake human ears.

Facts from the eah books I always forget about

-apple has glasses and is too embarrassed to wear them

-she’s insecure about her blond hair. in the books she would hear the people from her kingdom saying it was a shame she didn’t have black hair like her mother

-dexter has dimples as said in the storybook of legends book (apple was also described to have dimples)

-raven used to have a dog back when she was living with her dad the good king.

-kitty blamed herself for having bunny and alistair left behind in wonderland. she says “I’ll never leave a friend again” (stated in her diary)

-speaking of kittys diary, she also spilled soda all over daring when she found out he was cheating on lizzie. kitty was such a supportive friend and would go to lengths for lizzie

-hunter has a little baby sister named “fern” he would talk to her with a baby voice until his dad essentially told him to that no huntsman would act like that

i grew up needing to wear glasses and was constantly made fun of for it and it was a deep insecurity of mine. As a kid it was so SO great to see a princess like Rosabella needing glasses too but also being called beautiful (with her story being beauty and the beast) because I don't remember any princesses in media when i was little that wore glasses. She will always have a special place in my heart for that reason.
