And I also really enjoyed the symbolism of her death (even though it was so sad...) I mean, the whole key and knife thing here can be smth like an allegory for gender stereotypes/traditional gender roles and how they harm people. Trans people, if we speak about Hyun Ju

It's like some people think that you can have a key or a knife, that's unchangeable, and if you have a key - you're harmless, and if you have a knife - you're a threat, and that's also unchangeable. The kind of view that makes people think that trans women are a threat to cis women because of the fact that they were assigned male at birth. Like there's some knife that every amab person automatically gets and will want to use it to harm others.

But things are more complicated. Hyun Ju had the same knife that many other players used to harm and kill, but she used it to protect and fight for the safety of other women. Just like trans women were always there, fighting side by side with cis women for freedom and equality. And she died protecting her loved ones. Just like many trans people are dying, fighting for rights. Transphobia kills people. All kinds of discrimination kill people. Trans lives matter.

I FEEL LIKE SEMI IS THE TYPE OF PERSON TO STICK TO THE POKEMON SHE FOUND IN THE EARLY ROUTES I don't think she cares too much for power or aesthetics + she has max friendship with all of them and nicknamed. I like to imagine that while she has this random ass team, in her pc is fully organized teams built to annoy namgyu specifically. She asks Seowan what teams are annoying cuz he's a vgc master so she pulls up with a prankster amoonguss spamming sleep powder or a really annoying stall team with blissy, ferrothorn, etc.

NAMGYU IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF SEMI, he's quick to abandon pokemon (except this mightyena for some reason. dogs who look like their owners type shit) just to pick up whatever looks strong or cool to him. So he has the average gen 4 team disease + he doesn't fully understand or utilize things like dragon dance, his move sets are all attacks. also uses quick balls for everything

If semi and namgyu were to match pokemon it would be them:

namgyu can't evolve his type: null bc he's an asshole

and here's pokemon that either look like thanos or just some fucking thing he would have idk (+ crobat)
