If you write your sole survivor/other fallout 4 oc interacting with the institute (and that plotline as a whole), tell me - do you keep them as is, true to what's in the game, or have you taken the idea and run with it, or changed significant parts of their lore? What's their goal in the wasteland? Do they have Shaun, is Father, y'know, the person that he is in game (does he exist at all), who is Kellogg to the story?
