I haven't posted in a while. But I just wanted to say I really hate the horse tournament in Toussaint. Hitting those dummies shouldn't be that hard.

Its really bittersweet.
I still choose to save him... Apparently the base game I finished a year ago. Perfect timing.
I'll post more about Iris later.

When your friend makes fun of your interests
I felt bad for Quinto at that moment. Nerding out to get it all ruined.

Vimmie certainly has a way with words. I try to celebrate the fun in this expansion before it slides into the depths of depression.

i shouldn't have to explain why deciding to not challenge geopolitical illiteracy and inability to understand the concept of "war" is a bad, bad decision.
asides from all of this being integral to the identity of the witcher, this goes far beyond the witcher.
shame on all of netflix's production for being complacent in this decline instead of holding their audiences to the higher standards of... i don't know, being able to grasp the real world that we live in, "the level of nuance and complexity" of real life.
if there are idiots, fuck them! make it for the rest of us who have brains - don't pander to idiocy and unwillingness to understand or learn! art should challenge its audience! disturb the comfortable, and comfort the disturbed!

Okay, let do this.
Season 3 (at least halfway there) here we go. (Spoilers ahead)
This is finally becoming the show I was expecting 5 years ago.
Season 1 was pretty good, you essentially copy the short stories... RIP Mousesack.
Season 2..... was a thing. (first episode was great though) RIP Eskel.
Blood Origin is better than given credit for, but it was too rushed at times, and was always looking to action rather than build up. I felt no connection to the characters.
Okay, season 3, I feel like we’re finally getting somewhere, we finally got good stuff from Blood of Elves, before getting to Time of Contempt. We even got a nod to Season of Storms surprisingly.
They really want to keep the main cast together in a series that really has them apart a lot of the time. But we finally got the time they needed together, even though barely mentioned what happened in season 2 ( that was for the best).
The ball at Thanedd was great, even though the episode was confusing. That is when it finally figured things out.  I do wish there was more in terms of the books, but all book people think that, so I’m just glad they’re getting back to the source.
We finally got an episode where there’s build up with appropriate action.  Not a rush to action.
I’ve avoided the show because mostly I want to be positive.
I had critiques, mostly around writing. Killing characters for no reason doesn’t help. Being melodramatic for no reason is undermining of the source material, and i wasn’t surprised of the reports of writers making fun of it.
I think being critical of the casting, is dumb. I think the cast is very talented. Not to mention being racist about casting when a lot of the show has allegories about racism. That’s a lot.  Everyone there has been very talented, and I enjoyed seeing people I’ve never seen before.
So if you want to enjoy the show, go for it. those who don’t, don’t get in the way of people that do.  I’m sorry Henry is leaving, but I think Liam can do it.

I feel like the show leans on melodrama....
These are talented people. Let them fly!
