“Kiss you?” he scoffed, leaning closer. Eyes dancing with mirth, his gaze drifted down to her lips and back up. “What makes you think I even want to kiss you, Cunningham?”
“I, um… I just…”
“I wanna do,” he said, his voice going soft and gooey. The way he made her insides turn whenever he smiled at her, “a whole helluva lot more than that.”
Eddie closed the distance.
