Great for visual learners I really like this book. I like the concise overview of disease processes. I love the pictures...there are so many pictures. Great addition to other study resources but not ideal to use alone. I am very satisfied. Go to Amazon

Worth it! If you are going to buy one book for your nursing school, may this one be the one. It's expensive, but really worth it. It's a behemoth of a book, hardcover and heavy- but for it's price, it's a bargain. It's over 1000 pages. This book was the primary textbook for both my med-surg and advanced med-surg class. I did not find the online access helpful. I read the chapters that were assigned to me at least twice before an exam and got A- on both my med-surg and advanced med-surg courses. Some people complained that the exams were impossible, but you just have to think as you read the book. It's really well-organized, and this will be the one book I will not sell back. It will help me for years to come, since I will be seeking employment in the medical-surgical unit. Go to Amazon
Great resource for years to come This book does a good job of providing everything a new nurse needs to know and understand about med-surg nursing. There are great summaries in each chapter, with quizzes, and excellent tables to help synthesize a lot of information. However, I much prefer the clinical companion version because of the interactive question and answers that helped me estimate my understanding of the material. The companion takes just a few minutes to set up and is even quicker if you already have an account with the company because then you just log in and put in the code you receive. You can access the material anytime and there is no expiration date. Great resource for years to come. Go to Amazon
Helpful, but very big! This got me through my Nursin 3 course (which is jam packed heavy with so much material). I give 5 stars because it helped me pass lol. Go to Amazon
I will keep this book even AFTER nursing school I have the 2-volume paperback set. Great content. Great format. Med Surg is a huge field of study. So, to get as much "in"... this 2-volume set required a lot of work and decision-making. I think they pretty much nailed it. Yes...the brand new book is expensive. So maybe you can find an older edition. I lucked out and got this 2-volume set in near mint condition from Boomerang Books. But the book itself has been very useful in Med Surg. You could actually write term papers from this book and then supplement with outside research. Does it have everything? Of course not. But it has plenty to get me through Med Surg. I am a practical nursing student. I and my RN friend will not get rid of our copies of this book. Go to Amazon
hard cover ould be nice It is very helpful to have the two volume set instead of the large textbook when you need to take it with you to read or to class for reference. The one downfall is the paperback covers are not as procective so mine has showen a lot of wear over its use of my nursing school career. I am going into my last semseter so that is to be expected to a point but I think that there would have been less wear if I had the hardcover version Go to Amazon
I will look for a better one. When I was in nursing school the first time back in 2000-2002, we had an earlier version of this book. The earlier version was a lot easier to read than this one. This one is very big and heavy. Was obscenely expensive. The text print is too small. They have made the pages way too busy with boxes and other stuff. You add all that together and it makes a miserable textbook. I would return it right now if I didn't have more chapters to read for the RNR program I am in. Needless to say, I will definitely NOT be keeping this book for future reference. I will look for a better one. Go to Amazon
please stop sending only one book when clearly is advertised as a set, volume 1 and volume 2 This is a two volume set of books, meaning volume 1 and volume 2. Please stop sending people just volume two book, I need both volumes. This is very frustrating, I have ordered times and returned both times because I only received one book. I need both, I need the set. I am very frustrated. Go to Amazon
Great condition 5 Stars not because I love this book of torture, but the seller did send a book in great condition. I needed the 10th edition, but it's not far off and SOOOOOO much better price wise. If your instructor will allow it, this is a great alternative at least for the 10th edition. Go to Amazon

Poor index and layout. This was the primary text in a PhD level physiological psychology course. This is A LOT of information and the author should be appreciated for getting it into an intelligent order/presentation. I don't know if the problems are more editing and production. Many of the topics appear more than once with different information in different sections. So there is some disorder. This is somewhat due to a macro to micro view or maybe general systems to specific functions. The FAILURE is the index. Many important passages are just left out of the index. There might be one or two references to an item and you realize that the one you are looking for is not there. I can't really understand this, since it should be easy to do electronically. I don't know who was deciding to leave what references out. Certainly for the cost of the text we neednt spare four or five pages of index. Anyway, frustrating and unnecessary. I'm not a big fan of Carlson's writing style, but it isn't a novel, it works for what it does. Perhaps it isn't really PhD level material for a primary text.... Go to Amazon
Fortunately, these can be found in publisher's PowerPoint of ... I have used Carlson in my teaching for years. I bought this copy for my TA because the new publisher policy is to only make the text available online instead of allowing me to have texts to hand out to TA, and retrieve, each semester. The publisher cost me money. Go to Amazon
Like a paperback book NO eBOOK functionalities. :-( Not Happy Can't swipe down to read like other textbooks. No working links in this book. To be an eBook. I would think if it has a link I should be able to click the link and go to the site like in other books. This is one step away from a paperback book for this book to be written in 2000-any-year it should be more internet friendly for as much as it cost. I don't really consider this an eBook. It closer to a PDF file but not really because if you put a link in a PDF file you can click it and it will take you to the site. I gave this a 2 Star because it has good graphics. Not happy with all the money I spent on this book. Go to Amazon
A WASTE OF MONEY IF YOU NEED THE CODE FOR REVEL!!! This book has an enormous amount of material in it and the book is well designed and sturdy. However... if you need the code to access REVEL, the interactive portion of the book, along with access to the quizzes, for my class anyway, don't waste your money. I contacted Amazon more than three times about this issue. I was initially told that Pearson would email me an access code within 24 hours. It has been several weeks, and I still don't have it. I was sent another book, still no code. I'm currently four weeks into my class and no code. That equals ten major quizzes that are inaccessible that results in a zero! I would suggest to go directly to Pearson, save yourself the stress and a good bit of money and just get the 3 ring binder book with code for less than $100. I wish I had know about that option before I spent $230 on this. For me it was a TOTAL waste of money, not only for the book but for the class that I could not keep up with due to the lack of having the access code. Go to Amazon
Just Great. Giving this textbook 5 stars because I used this thing more then any other college book during my 4 years of college. This book was required for a intro to neuroscience course I was taking. During the time I was taking this class I was taking 18 credit hours and this was the hardest course out of all 5 classes I was taking. And to make it worse, I was taking it online. But yeah, the book was very helpful with the course even thought everything we were tested/quizzed on in that class was based on the professors online lecture videos. Go to Amazon
Well balanced and easy to read This book had, in my opinion, just the right amount of information: the chapters were not too long or overloaded with unnecessary details, but each topic was covered fairly in- depth, and throughout confusing or particularly interesting concepts were highlighted with extra information. This book is a really nice foundation for an introductory behavioral neuroscience course; I still refer to it from time to time. The writing style is easy to read and the case files associated with each chapter add interest. This was one of my favorite textbooks. Go to Amazon
Buyer beware The international edition being sold is missing chapter 18. Also, the entire book is black and white, which renders many of the diagrams impossible or difficult to interpret. The actual hardcover text is 748 pages, versus the international edition which has 714. Go to Amazon
Great Coverage, Graphics and Editing Could be Better Carlson's seminal book on physiopsychology covers an incredible amount of material from structure of the nervous system to disorders, psychopharmacology, neuroscience, and sleep. Even in this 9th edition, though, there are numerous typographical/editing errors (some significant, such as mislabeling a figure as postsynaptic when it should be presynaptic). The graphics, which are lauded in the book, aren't very contemporary-looking and at times it is hard to figure out what is going on in them. All in all though, as one of the most well-respected physiopsychology texts out there, it is well-written and covers a vast array of topics. Go to Amazon
Great structure It had really cool stories at the beginning of each chapter that was ... It’s too bad it doesn’t last more than a semester and that ... the price was great and the book those the job I need for ... Four Stars ... of the bind and the overall quality isn't too good. You can tell it's used Great book! i rented it from amazon Five Stars Five Stars Five Stars

We see it not rarely after acute vestibular events and we see it commonly improve over time like more typical peripheral nystagm Superb, well referenced book. I think the book could do more to show that DBN and UBN can and often do come from the utricle and saccule. Our experience is that DBN and UBN commonly exist in patients w no ETOH, or brain lesion and while on no medications or not on medications noted for producing nystagmus. We see it not rarely after acute vestibular events and we see it commonly improve over time like more typical peripheral nystagmus does. This edition is a massive work putting together old and new information in a generally masterful way. Go to Amazon
At least fix the typos for the 2nd ed.! For $150, I expect a reference text to be meticulously proofread, and include excellent illustrations, including color pages in cases where it would be helpful to represent 3-dimensional objects. This text falls short all around. Before getting through chapter 1, I counted three typographical errors (carried over from the 1st edition). Most of the figures are outdated, 1 if not 2 decades old. Many were improperly enlarged from poor resolution originals, so they appear unattractively pixellated on the printed page. Not a single color page in this 900+ page textbook. Also, those 900 pages add up to 5 pounds, making the book a beast to handle. You need a very strong bookstand to prop it open just to read it, unless you want to lay it flat on a table and hunch over it. The content is great, and the authors' arduous work in compiling this information was not done justice by Plural Publishing, Inc. Go to Amazon
A great resource for the clinician who desires to become more ... A great resource for the clinician who desires to become more versed in complex vestibular science. I do agree with some other reviewers who requested color pages. In the next edition, adding some great 3D color images would be helpful visuals. All in all, though, great reference. Go to Amazon
Wordy and Repetitive Although this book has some helpful information, it is repetitive, wordy, and ridden with spelling errors. I was expecting more, especially for the cost. Go to Amazon

Circular, unscripted rambling Remember that nightmare where you found yourself in front of an audience needing to give a speech and you hadn't prepared? So you ramble, talking in circles about... well, you're not sure what it's about. But at least you're talking. This set of books has lots of valuable information, but it's presented in such a wash of rambling that it's difficult to sort out the objective information that you will need to retain. Two thousand pages could be condensed to half of that and be much more readable and useful. Someone needs to completely start over and write a new textbook. Your patients will thank you. Go to Amazon
Good workbook, but only if you need it I looked through many websites and stores to find a good review on this book but didn't really find a definitive answer. So I decided to buy this book anyway, hoping that it would at least aid me in my paramedic class. Go to Amazon
I bought a new textbook for the sole purpose of ... I bought a new textbook for the sole purpose of getting the access code with it. Upon scratching it off, it said the code was already in use. I called the publisher, and they explained it was used a year ago, and because it wasn't purchased through them, there was nothing I could do. Apparently sellers are stealing codes and resealing it with foil tape. I strongly suggest to anyone buying a new textbook to scratch off the code when you first get it, this way it makes returns much easier to return and no time is wasted Go to Amazon
Paramedic This book is among the best for information to paramedic information and course work, highly recommended. The company that I purchased it from however, is an absolute horrible choice (tialap), the book was delivered at almost 200$, with heavy damage to the corner that appeared to be either water damage and being dropped, or an animal chewing on the book. The book is a great book, but the damage that was on the book was a reflection of a poorly inept company that is represented only by blemishes themselves. Get the book, but not through tialap, who also has not responded to my demand for a return. Paramedics lead the way! Go to Amazon
An ok buy, if you can at a cheap price. I purchased this workbook along with the textbook. It was an ok review for the first 5 chapters, but I haven't picked it up much since then as it didn't seem to help much. Some of the questions, while they pertain to the chapter being covered, are pointed towards minor details within the chapter while some of the major points of the chapter are left out. If I had to retake the class again with the same books, I wouldn't purchase the workbook. The question formats do very little to help with the national registry testing. If you're using the Nancy Caroline book for class and are considering purchasing this workbook, I wouldn't do so unless you find it at a very cheap price. Go to Amazon
Cheaper than school Definitely cheaper than buying it from the college bookstore. Paid 1/3 of what the school wanted for it by buying it from Amazon. Includes both volumes which is essentially 1 book for medical, and another for trauma. Also includes the online code on the inside cover, which is something I really wanted. Go to Amazon
Intro to Paramedic class This book was perfect, new and had the code for the online extra stuff, so I'm very happy with my purchase! Thank you! Go to Amazon
Great text book DOES include online code! Best paramedic book out there. Wonder price too. Book came as described. It was shrink wrapped with both books in the set PLUS the online supplement code. Highly recommended. Go to Amazon

Anatomy and Physiology Key to Great Grades As a Nursing student, you need to take a mandatory Anatomy and physiology course to actively pursue in the study of Nursing. This class being one of the hardest "weed out" classes that Nursing students need to take, we need a book to show what the body does, how it works, and why. Principles of Anatomy and Physiology 14e binder edition does exactly this. Reading this book has helped me develop an understanding for Human Anatomy and Physiology. With the in depth explanations of processes the body undergoes, thought out thorough definitions, and diagrams, pictures and tables to make connections to the readings; all have yet to cease to impress me as I continue to read the book. This binder version is more affordable than the hard copy and comes with the same quality work inside. I recommend getting a 3 inch binder along with the purchase to keep it in great condition throughout the usage of this book. This is a GREAT BOOK and I recommend it to anyone interested in Anatomy and Physiology of the Human body. Go to Amazon
FIVE STAR BOOK - ONE STAR SELLER Having perused the first volume - "Principles of Anatomy and Physiology: Organization, Support and Movement, and Control Systems of the Human Body" - I'm quite impressed. The illustrations and photographs are bountiful, having the appearance of clarity. I'm eager to begin studying! The contents are as follows: Go to Amazon
Recommend!!! I bought this book when I was halfway through my semester of Anatomy and Physiology 1 because I opted for only the online version of the newer book, due to cost. I decided to give this book a shot because it was only $20!!! Totally worth the money. The book is more or less exactly the same as the newer edition. With the exception of a couple chapters that were added to the other book, the words in this book are verbatim. It is well worth the $20 to buy this book even if it's just for a reference to sit on your shelf. They don't change enough things in one years time to completely discount this edition. Came quickly and was in good condition. Go to Amazon
Wonderful Illustration This is my first A&P book, and I've not enjoyed it as much as I would've liked. I would prefer to receive information in a way that starts at a high level, then breaks down that information in a consecutive way, breaking things down more and more until we get to low level information. This book gives very brief overview of each section, then dives directly to the bottom of the ocean where you're stuck in a completely alien environment, with a whole new language to describe every minute thing you observe. This didn't work for me. Go to Amazon
Look elsewhere AH! This is the ultimate fear I have renting books. It is extremely damaged. It's only holding together due to a tape layer on the binding. Some of the pages are glued in the center to the front cover preventing them from being opened. The cover doesn't fit over the back of the book's pages. Very disappointed. Go to Amazon
Educational I thought this was a well organized and put together book. It is easy to read and follow. While technical, the author presents the material in a direct and precise manner. The drawing in the book were a big help in glass. detailed and labeled clearly, I had no trouble understanding the material for class. The atlas of the skeleton is kind of delicate. other than that, this is a fine set. Go to Amazon

Don't waste your money, this book is a born dust collector This book is not only weak in occupational therapy applications with mental health clients, it is completely outdated now that DSM-5 has been published. The fact that this book is heavy does not make it comprehensive. OT is a world wide field. So much is being developed in Europe, South Africa, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand that is not only pertinent but cutting edge to this topic that I could not help wonder how this book got to print in the first place without providing actual occupation as a therapeutic measure for every single condition covered. Mental health practice, as practiced by MFT's, LCSW's, psychiatrists, and others involved in this realm of work, has simply not grasped how essential doing is to recovery. Engaging the human being in deeds is therapeutic. That is the theoretical basis of occupational therapy. Relying on the traditional mental health fields not only for assessment, but for treatment plans as well is a weak contribution to the dynamic field of occupational therapy. In a nut shell, if there is a mental health condition that needs treatment, cognitive behavioral is what this book offers most often. The founders of OT would be appalled by this paper weight masquerading as OT 4.0 Go to Amazon
Comprehensive, can be pedantic I got this book in particular for the chapters on mental health OT and employment. The two chapters I read give comprehensive information on benefits counseling, the Americans with Disabilities Act, assessment in work settings, relationships with employers and the various roles OTs can play with community based partners in provision of work related services. The chapters cover reasonable accommodations and aspects of Social Security which affect clients' motivation to work. The authors are the prominent in the field. I do think the two chapters on work for mental health clients are light on descriptions of actual clinical services and interventions that don't relate to benefits issues and assessment. The rest of the chapters are authored by some exceedingly prominent OTs. And I have to say that this is physically the largest and heaviest textbook I have ever seen, so be ready for some weight lifting. Go to Amazon
An alright text Many of the chapters of this book are much longer than necessary. A 50-page chapter in this book covers the amount of material that you would expect in 25 pages. Overall, this book is very useful for learning foundational information about OT in mental health, however, does not really work well when referring to it for clinical work. Go to Amazon
I witnessed Woodley House's O.T. inspired mental health halfway house's strengths. The 2011 "Occupational Therapy in Mental Health" by Catana Brown and Virginia C. Stoffel is a well organized teaching and learning text with a comprehensive view of how the broad discipline and practices of Occupational Therapy in Mental Health provide an effective structure to learn how to support persons with mental health issue cope with daily life expectations and possibilities. Since 1968 I have supported Woodley House (see the text at page 478) established in Washington, DC in 1958 by Joan Doniger, who with her co director, Edith Maeda, both occupational therapists trained at the University of Illinois, having separately worked with Bettelheim and Redl at NIH, connected through their professor, Dee Wade, joined to develop and staff "one of the earliest halfway houses described in the literature". I have witnessed how their comprehensive, O.T. inspired strategies behind the structure of the Woodley House Programs helped to develop a supportive environment that encouraged its users to pursue satisfying occupations and relationships, improved living skills and more comfortable ego strengths that continued for years after leaving Woodley House. Go to Amazon

Mental Health Text Book The product was devlivered on time and was exactly what was expected. Overall everything was great, i would buy something else if needed. Go to Amazon
Good companion book for OT in mental health This book covers all aspects of mental health in the OT world. The one thing that I really like about it was the number of assessment tool recommendations to help you with your treatment plan. It also fills in the blanks for those pesky questions about what some OTs are using in the field. If you get this book, you will probably also want to get the DSM-V to assist you in understanding diagnoses in a more in depth way. The book is rather large and hard cover. Go to Amazon

This book is actually by far the worst written book I've ever had to read for school This book is actually by far the worst written book I've ever had to read for school. The subject is actually very interesting but the book seems to struggle conveying messages. There are so many filler words and sentences which causes the passages to be long and drawn out. Please just cut out all the filler for the 7th edition. Go to Amazon

Needs some polishing This book has some good content but needs some polishing. This book is the assigned text for 1 of my Master's classes. In each chapter, you can probably read the 1st paragraph and then skip the next 2 - 3 pages. The book makes too many repetitive statements. The same point will be made over and over again in only slightly different wording. Needs a good editor to hack away at it and then the book could probably be reduced by at least 1/4. Go to Amazon

A fantastic resource, better than my Anatomy & Physiology textbook I purchased this book first and foremost to help myself and then hopefully to assist others via personal training. This resource guide is slightly cheaper on Amazon then having to buy through ACSM. Quite frankly, in the anatomy sections of this text, many of the images that show various muscles are far higher quality than the lousy Anatomy & Physiology textbook I shelled out $200 for this semester at college. And while muscle origins and insertions are always difficult to learn, I find that ACSM addresses the material in a practical way that, while still hard, I think will ultimately teach me these critical muscle components more effectively than the inaccurately labeled anatomical models at my college and their rote memorization. Go to Amazon
ACSM sets the standard that a lot of the other certifications go by. ACSM sets the standard that a lot of the other certifications go by. This manual is filled with tons of scientifically backed data and exercise modalities. The new preparticipation screening protocol is a game changer for us personal trainers. It allows more people to start exercising with fewer obstacles and paperwork during the screening / assessment process. I used this manual along with  Go to Amazon
Detailed & Intense Reading This is insane and who would buy it unless they were studying for their CPT w/ ACSM? I knocked a star off due to the complexity because I am no longer geared toward medical school and I'm having a hard time re-calibrating my brain in that direction. BUT if my brain were still calibrated in that direction, I'd give it 5 stars for the thoroughness of the material. But don't let this be your only resource. Two more books at least: ACSM's 1.) Guidelines for Exercise Testing & Prescription and also 2.) Certification Review. These other two books will reinforce the material in this book and will guide you toward what's important rather than your having to hurt yourself trying to learn everything this book has to offer. Go to Amazon

Pass on this one if you can I've taken several college psychology courses and find it to be a very interesting subject. This book, however, was not enticing to me as a reader and learner at all. It included several overtly sexist commentary (next to a picture of Olympic gold-medalist Gabby Douglas throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game was the caption "even Gabby Douglas throws like a girl!") and I find it surprising that a book published in the last few years needed to devote a (small) section in Chapter 15 of "The Family" to gay and lesbian families. Are they not just "the family" as everyone else? Go to Amazon
It looks like several previous renters treated the book as if it ... The copy I received is heavily highlighted and marked throughout making it difficult to read. It looks like several previous renters treated the book as if it was a one time use workbook, answering the questions and writing in notes. Btw, the answers are wrong so the idiot marked out the books correct answer and challenged it. Very annoying and distracting to have received a book in this condition. Next time I'll just buy a clean copy. This is not worth the money saved. Go to Amazon
Kindle Version is Good Enough, is Required Reading for a Class I bought the Kindle Version. It's good enough. The tables aren't as big as I'd like them to be, but it's what I would expect from a digital textbook for the most part. Navigation could be better, but it is functional. I view the book on my iPad rather than a kindle, so I can't comment on what it looks like on one. Go to Amazon
Saved over $100 by buying previous edition. Saved a fortune buying a previous edition of the book (teacher is using 8th edition), and I'm doing fine in the class so far. Most of the information and graphics are the same in this edition. Where there is a gap, can easily find the answers with Google. Go to Amazon
Useless information but a must if you wan t to buy the diploma. I needed it for a course. Thank GOD I was able to rent and not buy. More useless information forced upon us by the colleges stealing our money- Go to Amazon
but it has a lot of information and pictures and seems pretty well-organized. Textbook for a class I'm taking... It's ok , the authors seem a bit fixated on Erik Erikson, but it has a lot of information and pictures and seems pretty well-organized. Go to Amazon
Gosh darn it A terrible, miserable format. Wish i had read more of the reviews myself, only takes you to the nightmare of a cengage site, where the dangle access to your books over your head and watch as you struggle to get work done. There's 100$ down the tubes. I bought the kindle version for quick, easy access. It's worked with books in the past. turns out that this "kindle version" is really just a page on your kindle with a link to the Cengage site, where they take over access. If i had wanted the book from cengage, i would have bought it from them. Likely, i'll end up having to repurchase this somewhere else, in hard copy, because the class i need this for is accelerated, no time for fussing with their site. Go to Amazon
... the book is to busy and needs to be better organized. Also The topic is adequately covered but the presentation of the book is to busy and needs to be better organized. Also, I bought a used book and it was really in bad conditions. Apex should do better. Go to Amazon

High-quality book at a great price. The book was in very good shape And was received in a timely fashion. Pages were good quality and intact without writing. Go to Amazon
A definitive molecular genetics reference An excellent, thorough, and up-to-date (2018) reference in molecular genetics Go to Amazon
Great Mol Bio Book One of the best textbooks for a systematic overview of modern Mol Bio. At the same time, many necessary , detailed examples are also provided in the chapters for better understanding Go to Amazon
Great book, but as a used, rental copy, it's on the verge of falling apart While the book is certainly the book I wanted and am fully happy with that, it was not in the best condition when sent to me. I understand that it is a used copy for rental, but the cover along the spine is practically falling apart and i'm concerned that pages will begin falling out if I don't handle the book as gingerly as possible. Go to Amazon
This is easy to read and full of details This is easy to read and full of details. I'm reading this because I'm studying for the MCAT and need more background then what the prep book is giving me in order to make thorough connections. So far so good. Go to Amazon

Perfect Book for the Beginner as Well as the Practioner Exactly what I was looking for. This book is absolutely beautiful. It's easy for the beginner to read, understand, and follow.....the PERFECT pictorial atlas of acupuncture points. Not only has a description of each acupoint (see far left of column of picture), but also has 3 different illustrations: graphic, overview of channels, and a photograph showing the acupuncture needle in position. I cannot say enough about this book. Go to Amazon
A Keeper! This is Text Book quality and would probably be a much higher price in a school. The actual size is 7.75" x 9.75" x 1", larger than the add said. Presuming that the points are accurate according to other acupuncture traditions, you could not find a resource with more details. Although it has more information than I will need, I am delighted to finally have the specific points, and at a bargain price. A Keeper! Go to Amazon
Great Reference book! I purchased this to learn self acupuncture. It is clear and consise and easy to understand. The pictures are excellent quality. If you are looking for the theory you should buy a book on that subject but for needle placement and usage this book is what you want! Go to Amazon
A very good book even for non professional A very good book even for non professional. Go to Amazon
A great visual encyclopedia of acupuncture points. I absolutely love the illustrations. The introduction teaches you how to make measurements on yourself or some one you might be working on. I have only had informal training and only use acupuncture on myself for release of sinus pressure and neck pain. I have had a professional teach me how to perform the very specific acupuncture points I require. This book is not a substitute for professional training or atlas education by a professional to address specific needs. I do feel fairly comfortable in making the measurements to locate specific points, but not comfortable enough to use the knowledge in the book without professional guidance. My acupuncturist also feels this is a really great book. Go to Amazon
Excellent reference manual - even for the amateur Although the index could have been made into a useful tool (which it isn't) still giving this book 5 stars! Go to Amazon
even big books like CAM do not allow someone to properly locate many ... This book might be okay for someone who is just messing around with acupuncture... but really there is not enough precise detail to make the book stand out compared to a couple of $4 E-books on amazon by a couple of Korean authors (free to barrow with amazon prime). From what I see, even big books like CAM do not allow someone to properly locate many acupuncture points unless they already knew the small details that make the difference between right and wrong and just need a general location for a reminder. Go to Amazon
Pictorial is the operative word. This is a very clear photographic representation of the acupuncture sites and how to determine them on each person. It requires a text book however to understand the interplay between the points, cause and effect. However, as a teaching tool, this is a good book. Go to Amazon
Interesting Five Stars Five Stars For trained acupuncturists or those in training, not laypeople Five Stars Awesome Acupuncture Five Stars Fabulous Book! Five Stars Love this book
