PIRANESI AND THE LIBRARY OF SIGIL IS NOW LIVE ON DMSGUILD!!
10 new species 8 subclasses and 4 species altering lineages and features are here alongside lore on the strange Library of Sigil!
With amazing art from folks across the community and layout done by @sunevial and art from incredible folks like @crowvaarts @mind-or-matter and more! This book has been so big it’s an intense labor of love for the DND multiverse, our little collective multiverse that my friends and I run the game and tell stories in, and those stories we’ve told together! It’s 4.99 on DMs Guild and Day 1 is always kinda important so either picking it up or spreading the word is such a big deal and turbo appreciated! There is so much in here I think players and DM's will be into!

DND 5E: Woodworm
CN: Trypophobia Warning
In honour of spooky season, as inspired by MCC
New Disease: Woodworm
Thought it was just wood that got woodworm? Think again. Humanoid creatures bitten by a carrier of this disease (most notably the Woodcarver’s Bane termite) begin to have their bodies turn into a labyrinthine maze of tiny tunnels and writhing masses; a fate that promises to be lethal if not cured.
After 1d4 days from incubation, the target must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the first tiny holes begin to rip themselves open on the victim’s body - imposing disadvantage on all Charisma checks as the ones they talk with swear they see something… moving… ‘neath the deepest layers of their skin.
At the end of each long rest, the target must make a further DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, countless more holes tear themselves open as whatever lies within continues to multiply - reducing their maximum hit point total by 5 for each failed save.
If a target’s maximum hit points reach zero whilst infected with Woodworm, they die and collapse into a neat pile of hole-riddled flesh, bulging from the strain of that which crawls within. Immediately 2d8 baby Woodcarver’s Bane termites spawn from their shredded remains. These termites are hungry, and attack the first living thing they see. Should they be sated, they may form a swarm.
If a target succeeds at two saving throws against this disease in a row, they awaken to a bedroll of dead termites and are cured.
Creature: Woodcarver's Bane
i hear them The Beastlands are home to all manner of creepy crawlies - not least of all being that plague known as the “Woodcarvers Bane”. These great termites measure a solid three feet in length when fully grown, and the high-pitched thrum of their wings has been known to drive mad those who bear witness to it.
i know them The Woodcarver’s Bane get their name from their first recorded encounter, in which an entire team of Woodcarvers set out for the Beastlands on a mission to procure the finest in extraplanar wood. The forests of the Beastlands were a natural port of call for such a venture, but little did they expect that the second their knives touched wood, the Plane would take up arms to drive them out. All but one woodcarver were slain that day - falling to the chittering claw and buzzing thrum of the termites’ many wings. The last woodcarver returned home to spread warning of their folly… but unintentionally did too good a job when they collapsed into a tunnel-riddled mound of festering flesh the second they set foot in their family home. Countless bloody termites emerged from his gaping pores, infecting his family and perpetuating a new threat to his home plane.
i fear them Since spreading outside of the Beastlands, all manner of creatures have come to know their dreaded hum. The shrill piercing of their wings is painful to be around for most living beings, and those who have survived such close proximity to them report a sense of irrational (or perhaps, perfectly rational) fear and terror. The presence of a swarm of such critters is enough to blot out all other noise, sights, and smells.

Airmark's Guide to Planar Vegetables: Urchin Bush
Tumblr media
Urchin bushes are immediately recognizable by their spherical shape and huge barbed seeds, which bristle from the plant on every side. Like many plants that grow in low-gravity environments, urchin bushes have no true central stalk or trunk, instead growing radially from a roughly centralized root mass.
Aside from its many needle-like leaves and seeds, the surface of an urchin bush is relatively bare, mostly due to its growing conditions. They requires solid ground to sprout and grow to maturity, but once its barbed, thorn-like seeds are nearly mature, they uproot themselves and start their free-fall, a state in which they remain for most of their lives.
Due to their structure and resilient branches, urchin bushes are totally immune to damage from collisions, which enables them to crash into earthbergs and other solid or semi-solid objects, breaking off seeds as they roll away and likely resume their free fall.
Urchin bushes are sentient and capable of defending themselves with considerable psionic talents and their sharp seeds. However, they are typically more interested in conversation than attacking those that come into contact with them, and have been known to attract birds, aarakocra, and air genasi as students and conversational partners.

Well you know that I'd give you my heart
Even if it's torn apart
'Cause I've come too far to be scared
And I don't regret what we shared
But you know that I love you, for God
And I love you much more than I should
And I can't help but cry when you're so far away
But I smile 'cause I hope that
You'll be back one day
If I died in your arms
Would you then give me your love?
Would you tell me that you need me
And that I was the one?
Now there's nothing I can say to you
To make you feel the same way too
When you walk away I just want to die
And I try not to break down and cry
But you know that I love you this way
Enough to let go and let you walk away
Now maybe you come back
And maybe you won't
But when you're not with me
I feel so alone
If I died in your arms
Would you then give me your love?
Would you tell me that you need me
And that I was the one?
If I died in your arms
Would you then give me your love?
Would you tell me that you need me
And that I was the one?
Now there's one thing I need you to know
'Cause you think that you just know me so
That I'll be there if you asked me to
Oh no, if you only knew
That I love you so much that it hurts
But my broken heart feels so much worse
You do what you want 'cause I gave you my best
And you know something
If you ask me
I would say yes
If I died in your arms
Would you then give me your love?
Would you tell me that you need me
And that I was the one?
If I died in your arms
Would you then give me your love?
Would you tell me that you need me
And that I was the one?
Would you tell me that you need me
And that I was the one?

Planescape Homebrew Book
I am working on a better name, but I have loved Sigil and the Planescape setting for so long. I am so excited to put out a book on the DM's Guild for it. I am aiming to put it out on release day. It's going to be a lot of additional player features for existing species, new species and subclasses! Just the sorts of things that won't be in Planescape proper that all bring a fun multiversal vibe! Headed of course by an enigmatic librarian named Piranesi!
Tumblr media
I am so thrilled to put this together and I am getting to bring in some amazing concepts that my awesome friends have created as well! Like the thoughtborn you would see in @mind-or-matter and other amazing stuff!
I am probably going to be posting updates here and on other socials to build hype for the book because there is a lot of content here!

Airmark's Guide to Planar Vegetables: Ethereal Marigold
These small, rich purple flowers are found throughout the Ethereal Plane, particularly on the occasional patches of real terrain floating in the misty void.  Associated (rightly) with death and the passage of the soul, ethereal marigold is notorious for crossing planar boundaries to grow in graveyards, misty moorlands, and other places tied to the ethereal.  On many material plane worlds, it’s said that you can see where a ghost has re-entered the realm of the living by seeing where the marigolds grow.  On their home plane, they are apparently without need of sunlight or real water, subsisting either on the mist that pervades the Ethereal, or on some other unknown food like the debris of souls or other ethereal effluvia.  If interviewed with Speak With Plants, they prove talkative and friendly, keen to recount the life stories of those departed they have had contact with.  This property proves effective even if transplanted off the Ethereal, so Ethereal Marigolds have been grown in graveyards for informational purposes for millenia.

The 'Smoldering Corpse', a bar in the planar city of Sigil from D&D's upcoming 'Sigil and the Outlands' book (and originally from Planescape Torment)
Never have I painted so many NPCs in such a big scene, with so many little stories going on :D

Planescape Reimagined 5E
Planescape Conversion now online!
About a year ago I put out the 2E to 5E conversion I've been using of the Planescape setting I put together into a massive pdf. While it was received well, it was quite chunky.. so I've gone and put it up on a site for easier access (just in time for the official version to be released nonetheless! )
It's completely free, ad-free, and only exists out of love for this setting and as a love letter to a home game that's been 4 years in the making.
The aim of this site is to be a living document of Sigil, constantly expanding and adapting. It's here as an alternative conversion that's intended to be in line with the Planescape of old (pre Faction War), just brought forward a few years and with a few shakeups along the way.
I've got lots of plans, lots of improvements in the works, but for now it's all up for anyone to use if they so wish :) Any feedback is very much appreciated, and if anyone does use anything from here or want to suggest something, please do get in touch. <3
