What are some of your favorite character relationships/dynamics in TMNT, and why? Is there anything that you particularly like seeing explored with them in fan works (art, writing, comics, etc)?

Ok so as a twin I am legally obliged to say that I love and need more disaster twins but that’s already a pretty popular dynamic that has been explored already in so many unique ways. So I won’t be saying much other than, as a twin I’m unhealthy attached to the fandom’s interpretations of them as twins and all the good and yummy angst I read.

However

Some dynamics I would LOVE to see more of are definitely Baja Blast duo and Brains and Brawn duo

Firstly I LOVE the Baja blast duo episodes we got, I love the antics they get into one upping each other, nothing like 2 ADHDers causing chaos together (the Gumbus is actually one of my all time favorite episodes). I love how the fandom digs into how Mikey looks up to Leo’s “too cool” persona that puts on and those moments Leo has shown how much he cares about his “eats peanut butter with his fingers guy”. Love it and need more!!!!!

Now Brains and Brawn. This dynamic I haven’t really seen in the fandom. if you have any suggestions, gimme.

I’d love to see a fic or comic with them having to work together learning how to play into their strengths, while covering each other’s weaknesses. Maybe Raph is an anxious mess since he and Donnie got separated from the rest of the Mad Dogz and Donnie has to help himself give emotional support and anchor him using everything that Mikey taught him? Maybe Donnie is down and Raph has to believe in himself in not just being the team tank? Maybe they just have a fun hangout and Raph helps Donnie build something? PLEASE JUST GIVE ME SOMETHING WAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Honorable mentions;

I love the banter Draxum and Splinter have and I want more baronjitsu in the fandom.

Love Sunita and want more people to draw her and insert her to more comics/fics with April and Cas

Need more April and Raph being older siblings together

Didn’t see it for a while and then forgot about it :p

Most of my personal hcs are just me looking at general fandom hcs like ghost cores/lairs, speculative biology and basically going

Some of my personal favs are:

Danny is trans masc

Leo is trans masc and gay

Donnie is nb and bi

Mikey is bigender/polygender and asexual

Raph is trans fem/demi girl

I’m a big April/Cas/Sunita truther

Love Jack/Maddie/Vlad College trio or Family breakfast

And need more BaronJitsu

Leo and Danny are fluent in Spanish bc I think it’d be funny

Some that are from some more specific places:

@spookberry ‘s half normie Tucker (even tho I’m not at all familiar monster high i still love this au and hc Tucker as a werewolf)

Slider Casey jr. from Cass’ apocalypse series (bc of course)

Can’t think of any other ones off the top of my head and I’d be pleasantly surprised if people have incorporated some of my ideas even if they aren’t that unique

And I have soooooo many ideas for stories I’m just chronically tired and stressed LOL

For my DPxROTTMNT comic I’m really excited to just get the ball rolling in the story! I had a lot of fun with the script and I’m itching to just draw it out.

I’m also tossing the idea in my head to do a DPxROTTMNT 2 with Big Mama and Vlad and looking for excuses to draw Sunita since I love drawing her a lot now!

I also have so many ideas for AMVs and fanfics in my head that I work on once in a while but since writing and animation aren’t things I’m “good at” they might never see the light of day LOL

The tmnt story competition is over!! Well, it's been over for a little while but all our mods metaphorically died at the same time so we took a little longer to make this post than we should have. A massive congratulations to our overall winner, @chasingrabbits-art 's Danny Phantom x Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!!

And a massive thank you to all our competitors and supporters alike, ya'll have made this a very fun event in ways we didn't even think possible. From the entire mod team, thank you so much! You guys are awesome. Meanwhile however, while we don't know if we'll be holding another one of these (dear god this comp was a lot of work even with the amount of hands we have on deck) Massy's story is not entirely over, and you may see more activity from this blog in the future, so stay tuned~

Massy hummed to himself as he flipped through a book, a small smile worming it’s way onto his expression. He wrote numbers down in his notepad with a normal pen he created, terrified of what he could create if he used the mystic one. 

“What are you working on?” 

Massy looked up to see the human- No, ghost? He was a ghost. And so was the Leo that he was friends with… Danny! That was his name. Danny.

“Oh, hey!” Massy looked round curiously, “Where is everyone else..?” But Massy didn’t have to look far at all to witness Captain trying to pull the twins off of his shoulders. Leo appeared to be trying to claw at the older turtle, a large metal hand lightly squeezing his face and holding him out. Meanwhile Donnie was trying to bite Captain's flesh arm. The elder turtle was laughing, happy to play along. 

All the while, Danny’s Leo floated on the sidelines, cheering on the fight. Massy found himself smiling, it was a lot like home in that sense. Even as old men, Massy enjoyed watching his uncles fight like they were kids, like they were just like him. 

“Massy?”

Massy blinked back to himself, looking back to Danny. The ghost had his eyebrow arched up in question. 

“Right, right. You asked what I was doing..” Massy looked down at the book in his hands, an old mythology book his father used to read to him on late nights. His thumb played around with the corner of the page before he bent it down into a small dog ear, closing the book. 

“It’s just something uncle Donnie and I used to do. We left notes for each other and you had to use a book to solve it. It’s fun! But you have to be specific.” Massy leaned back in his beanbag. 

There was a loud thud drawing their attention away from the books, all focus turning towards the others. Captain, Donnie, and phantom Leo were all standing over the younger Leo as he laid on the floor, his arm twisted behind his back. 

The three standing turtles all looked at each other before slowly backing away from the one on the floor. 

Massy couldn’t help but snort, his hand coming up to his face. But then a thought crossed his mind, one that had been plaguing him this entire time but only now became prevalent. There were three teams left, and they were all seemingly at each other's throats. “... You guys aren’t actually mad at each other, right?”

Massy looked up to Danny, his expression shifting to something between worried and sad. The ghost seemed shocked for a moment before his expression softened. 

“No, Massy, it’s just light hearted fun. We all just want to win,” Danny shrugged his shoulders, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Why? What kind of incentive do you have? I promised you nothing,” Massy retorted, eyebrows scrunched together. 

“... That is a very good question. An excellent question…” 

Massy shook his head, “Well, good luck to you guys. I’m.. I’m glad you’re having fun.” Massy’s smile softened to something sadder, more subdued. But instead of addressing it, Massy sank into the beanbag more. His head ducked somewhat into his shell as he opened up the book again, starting to jot down numbers once again.
