I finally finished this super elaborate screen study! The third movie was fantastic, I really feel like doing some more httyd art right about now. Especially happy with the scales on both hiccup and toothless and the sense of form I managed to convey on toothless’s head.

tired isn’t even a mood anymore it’s my entire personality

This gif is so adorable, but what really makes my heartache is that on both of the golden plates holding the furs they have their dragons engraved.

On Hiccup’s you can see the outline of a nightfury with one tail fin

and on Astrid’s, you can see a Deadly Nadder head

No doubt they represent Toothless and Stormfly, even when they aren’t there physically, the dragons are never too far from their riders ;A;
