*My* Blogging Epiphany

I have always wanted to write and blog and thought I needed to a super special and over complicated website to do that. Little did I know, I was so wrong. I made something that I’ve always wanted to do so overly complicated to the point that I lost my passion for it. When in all actuality, simplicity is the best method. 

I say that to say, if you really want to do something...take a look around at the tools you already have and are already familiar with to see what can help you accomplish that. I’ve always had Tumblr and for what purpose? None that I was using that comes to mind. There is such a broad world on Tumblr that I’m sure there is at least one person willing to read what I write and/or participate with me in exchanging conversation and sharing thoughts. I’m biggest critic and so afraid of rejection or judgment (sometimes) that I talk myself out of many things such as this one. Even if this seems like I’m rambling, whatever. It’s my page, my post and my current thought that I’m sharing to whosoever happened to stumble over here. How? I have no idea, but thank you and drop a line and say hello.

Strangers No More

She panicked when she saw him across the room. It’s was the biggest blast from the past that she’d yet to experience. He stood there tall and strong but she still wasn’t quite sure it was him. The guy she remembered was much more skinny and didn’t seem as tall, however, this man was about 6’1’ weighing 200lbs of solid muscle with the sexiest bulging arms. But despite all the doubts, it was him. Even in the dark lit club with flashing lights, his bright smile shined through while talking to his friend. Bold as she was most of the time, walking up to him was a big gamble. But it was the adrenaline and pure curiosity that had her walking across the room to him. She walked up to him, feeling sexy and confident despite what could happen, and said “hey, what are you doing here?” Their overseas, in Europe, last time they saw each other was 8 years ago in Florida and it was not the best of time. The reason she was so nervous was because 8 years prior they had a falling out that was horrible and for the life of her she couldn’t even remember what it was about. But divided they were at the time, however, with years past and not a thought of each other and growing up they greeted one another with excitement. Looking at him she remembered her first memory of meeting him, and getting to know more than just him. The man had skills that stretched far beyond what she was use to being a 19 year/old child. But now, in this moment, they’re older, maturity has set in and curiosity was taking over. He was just was as shocked when she approached him, because he couldn’t believe it either. But he offered to buy her a drink, and of course she obliged. It was a quick reminiscent moment, him confirming how long it had been, telling her how his job had brought him to Europe 4 months prior and how filled out she was looking. It was getting late and already coming back from a trip and exhausted, she was ready to leave the club. But not before giving him a means to reach her later. To date, one of her best decisions made over the past few months. Tiana left the club on cloud nine, even getting home from the club at 5 in the morning and locked out of house for over an hour she was still very happy. It was barely past two hours after they left each other, and Jamie had already texted her asking what her plans were for the rest of the day, he wanted to get together before heading back home, he only lived and work an hour away, that’s with traffic. Sadly, Tiana couldn’t see him again due to having to entertain her friend who was there visiting from Belgium. Who she wasn’t going to ditch simply because Jamie walked in right out the blue, even being as fine as he is, she’s not that type of girl. Weekend went by, and Tiana was still very much happy because her last few weeks were great, coming off a trip from Spain and running into a friend turned foe who was once again becoming a friend was a good one in her book. During the following week, Tiana and Jamie began to catch up with each other. The conversation was going good, it was a bit awkward at first because nobody knew what to say each other. Not wanting to say the wrong thing, and keep it easy going they kept it real light. Only briefly did they address the time lapse that had gone by. Acknowledging they were both young and immature and how it’s water under the bridge now. After what seemed to be an obvious next question, it was a matter of who would ask first. “When you will be back on my side of town?” She’d made the first move….he told her it would be a while, thinking she’d just been rejected, he followed up with he’s free for visitors. That’s when a weekend trip was planned. First of many perhaps????
