iāve rewatched tokyo ghoul till its latest season. then i felt all the feels i had for akiramon came rushing back.
this was a redraw of this [x] art i made almost 4-5 years ago!!! those were the days.Ā
also, in case youāre wondering why these flowers:
lilies (akira) - often given at funerals. so i guess itās a way of mourning of the dead, which we know for a fact that amon lived.
narcissus (amon) - rebirth and renewal. amon was human, then he became that hooded figure who turned out to be a ghoul.Ā

The idea of Kureo Mado watching Akira and Amon from the afterlife is making me soft. Like heās suspicious of Amon dating his daughter (even though he loves Amon like a son and respects him) Heās a ghoul now so Kureo would have to be wary itās in his nature. But when he sees Amon with tears sliding down his face when Akira walks down the aisle he is sure that his daughter has found the right man. Kureo is there watching when Akira and Amonās first child is born and heās there when Akira wishes to herself that her father was there to hold his granddaughter. Like I just love the idea of him watching over them from the afterlife.
