Out of ALL the other darkners we've met so far and RECRUITed, if Ramb were to come back with us to our Castle Town, who do you think he'd make friends with (if anyone)? (I love when people draw him just hanging out, finally fitting in someplace so this is kindof self indulgent HAHA)

I've thought about this so much you have no idea.

I think he'd have a bunch of friends!! What's currently keeping him from forming relationships seem to be:

1. His inability and or refusal to move on from being loved by Kris

2. The people around him

3. His low self worth

And if he could've been recruited, after a short character arc (think elnina and lanino), he'd probably be able to begin moving forward. Realize he can be loved again, open up to new opportunities, and begin to view himself as more than just the object he is in the light world.

And in castle town, there'd be loads of new people! Maybe the folks at TV world were just too different from him, maybe he just got unlucky. So in castle town, where there would be darkners from two other past dark worlds, and more would come everyday??

He's not introverted, he's not shy, as long as he allows things to happen and doesn't hide behind his nostalgia and fear, he'd be able to get along with pretty much anybody.

And in my heart of hearts, I believe the closest bond he'd share would be with Seam :]

They just make sense y'know!!

Ramb is a chill and calm guy, he wont exhausted the old plush, but he's still got enough bite to him to keep seam from getting bored.

Seam is stagnant and unwavering in their beliefs, so when ramb relapses and doubts his progress, seam will be all the same, like an anchor.

They both have their pessimistic attitudes, but while Seam can't help but let it paint their entire world view, ramb is still optimistic and hopeful even through his own. So his "maybe give it a try?" Talks with seam will be more grounded and realistic, and not toxically positive.

Seam never leaves their shop, and while ramb does enjoy an inside hangout, they could be having so much more fun outside! I feel like he'd be a persuasive little fuck when given the opportunity. And maybe after enough of those previously mentioned talks, seam might actually give it a try. There'd be no point to it all, but it couldn't hurt.

And maybe after enough times, Seam would start leaving their shop on their own, too.

They're both silly shitheads who I love!!! They'd have the same kind of humor and they'd jokingly rib each other a lot cus they're two old fucks who love a good laugh.

But besides seam, I like to think that cats would just generally like Ramb lol. The Tasques would adore him and he'd spend a bunch of time just sitting with them all and giving ear scratches like candy, they'd also take naps on him until he passes out. Tasque manager would see this and think to hire him to watch them from time to time, because he seems like a nice little man. Friendship ensues.

Also of course, Swatch. come on!!! They'd have that younger queer and older coworker friendship. Ramb is genuinely kind to them and looks out for them even though they're the boss, one "luv" and swatch realizes it's been years since they've spoken to their parents.

And if swatch is on Ramb's side, you know the swatchlings are too. They'd probably think he's adorable- that swatchlings scene with butler ralsei except it's ramb and he has no goddamn clue why they're yelling.

(and even though he's not recruitable, I think Spamton would get along well with ramb too :] ramb would bring out that genuine part of him and allow him to decompress for a bit. Not too much though, of course.)

Yeah I don't think he'd be lacking in bonds at all!! It's just that he never got to have that ending to his story. He never got to move on and change, he never got the opportunity to grow and improve his life, and others' in turn. He's a tragedy in everybody else's happily ever after.

But if he got to join them? He'd only add to it.
