Hiroko Masaru | AFTERLIFE

Whatever the last thing Hiroko has seen in his life was didn’t matter. It could have been the bags from the IV drip that sunk into his dying body. He could have seen the fish that floated by, as water filled his lungs and stole away his oxygen. Or it could’ve been the shattered glass from his window that sparkled under the streetlight around - and under - him.

What mattered was that Hiroko Masaru was dead, and the afterlife he was to be faced with had just enough pieces to become either his rebirth, or his damnation.

Hiroko Masaru | POST APOCALYPSE

After the major cities had collapsed under its own illnesses, the rest of humanity scattered into rural areas for a chance to thrive. Most of the unorganized succumbed to the wild; and that was why Hiroko joined the Salvagers of his settlement.

Rarely - but as often as he could - he would travel hours just to spend time at the beach, and reminisce about old times. On the way back home, he’d often think of the future he and his friends could create.
