can you believe that we have fanfiction. that we have websites dedicated to fanfiction. that there is a place that you can go and read tens, hundreds, thousands and thousands of pieces of writing that strangers have made. people who are not "writers". people who come home at the end of the day and have feelings and say, i am going to put that into words. i am going to share those words. short, long, sweet, sad, horny, funny, wonderful words. we are all just human and we all love to make and remake and share that with others. can you believe that.

Karim vs. Ezran: Who's the Better King?

Even though those two had only a certain amount of screen time, you could tell who's the better king. While Karim isn't a king yet, you can tell how bad of a leader he is. He immediately disrespects Ezran and barely listens what he had to say. He kept looking down on him not only because he's a human, but also a kid to boot. Even before that, he never asked himself on why a soldier would be loyal to him. Let alone start asking questions. He just went with what one soldier said and just rolled with it. Believing it could win his title back. It's abundantly clear that he was just as arrogant as his eldest sister.

Ezran on the other hand, he wanted to avoid repeating past mistakes. He actually thinks things through before he gets too reckless. While he still has a council of people around him, he doesn't let them completely influence his decisions. He takes everything to consideration and does what he believes is best for his people. He may be young, but he actually does a way better job of being a king more than people give credit for.

The Dragon Prince Season 7 - December 19th

If there is one thing I really like about the Rise iteration of the TMNT franchise is how it doesn’t feature romance like, at all pretty much

Not saying there’s anything wrong about that. After all, one of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles focus is the, you know, teenage part and one big part of being a teenager is romance and crushes. However, as someone who didn’t experience that back in highschool I always really appreciate when series around teenagers don’t feature romance

As far as I can tell, rise is the only TMNT show that hasn’t had any romance so far? (Correct me if I’m wrong, I have a shallow view of the shows beyond the ones I’ve watched)

Fair enough. In my defense, i haven’t watched the season since it first came out, so i did misremember some things (his star being full of darkness instead of his future, my bad) and i did make some stretches, but that’s the fun thing about theorizing about what will happen in a story tbh.

You are right, you could interpret the lines in many different ways. While I interpreted the whole thing of the ritual about getting rid of the stain of dark magic and how they mention he cannot do dark magic again lest he lose himself to darkness as that meaning he def will do dark magic and will def lose himself to darkness, you and others interpret that line to be that he will not do that and in fact will overcome that darkness.

It’s exciting! To see what will actually happen, and see what those lines really meant or if they were supposed to be any foreshadowing at all, or if I am just making huge stretches and misinterpreting what foreshadowing actually is lol

So,,, we all agree that Callum will 100% use dark magic again next season, most likely in an attempt to save Rayla, and Rayla will probably be horrified at what he did in a parallel to Viren’s wife being horrified at the lengths Viren was willing to go to use dark magic to save Soren, right?

I mean they weren’t fully wrong. Callum did help free Aaravos, even if it wasn’t intentional or for Rayla (though it could still be argued it was for Rayla, because half of the reason why they left for the Star Scraper was for the diamonds to free her family, though that is stretching it a bit) but Callum was def a key player in freeing Aaravos and he probably wouldn’t have been free if he hadn’t posses Callum to get him to leave the pearl behind.

Plus, I feel like there’s a lot more foreshadowing to this happening than Callum freeing Aaravos. There’s the whole thing of Rayla explicitly promising to kill Callum if it comes to that, Callum also stating he would do anything for Rayla, that whole thing of seeing “nothing but darkness in his future”, the fact that it was VERY explicitly stated that he cannot do dark magic after that ritual thing he went through, and the images I provided in the first post.

But there’s also what Aaravos said, all the way back in season 4 when he possessed Callum for the first time and dissed everyone, he said for Callum “already tainted by darkness and destined to fall right into my hands”. We’ve seen that Aaravos can play the waiting game, and that he is scarily good at predicting people’s behaviors and actions after what he did to Sol Regem. He knew that Sol Regem would take the sun seed to heal his wings, attack Katolis, and exactly where he would land after being wounded. All of this he planned years in advanced just to get his revenge.

So, I don’t think it’s all that far fetched to say that he probably knows Callum went to the star scraper because he feared being possessed by him again, knew that once there Callum would find out there’s no real way to kill a star touch elf, knew that Callum would take the ritual just to avoid the possibility of being possessed again.

So, do I know this will happen 100%? No. Do I think this is a lot of foreshadowing and parallels and showing that Aaravos is way, way too smart? Yes.

Then again, I could just be delusional lol
