Only a god can kill another god (Part 2)
↠Diana Prince x Goddess Reader [18+] Violence and fighting ↠Part 1
Tumblr media
“sometimes you separate at the wrong time to meet at the right time” Rohit Totlani Diana's heart pounded as she held your lifeless body in her arms. She couldn't believe you were gone. It was as if the world had stopped turning and time had frozen still. But even in that moment of despair, Diana knew that she had to do something. She couldn't just sit there and let you slip away from her forever. With tears streaming down her face, Diana gently laid your body on the ground and began to search for any signs of life. She checked your pulse, your breathing, and anything else she could think of that might indicate that you were still alive. But despite her best efforts, there was nothing. No pulse, no breath, no sign of life.
Diana let out a gut-wrenching scream of agony, a primal scream that seemed to come from the depths of her soul. She screamed her grief and sorrow, her pain and despair, her fear and helplessness, all of it pouring out of her in a wave of anguish. Soon tears streamed down her face as she held you in her arms, her body shaking with sobs as she cradled your face in her hands.
She had lost you, and she blamed herself entirely.
___ Diana was looking down at the casket that was slowly getting on the ground to be buried. She stayed quiet the whole ceremony and only talked when her speech about you came. It hurt her deeply she had felt this pain before with Steve but this time the cut feels deeper she lost a huge part of her, she felt lost and blamed it all to her obliviousness to realize that she fought you..her love…for all this months and you had said nothing.
Gods the bruises you had on your body the last few months was of her own hand..of the fights. That realization broke her more she felt as everything was spinning. She bit the inside of her cheek holding back her screams of fury and anguish, she wanted you back in her arms. ___
She had tried her best to move on, to find some semblance of solace in her life after losing you. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and gradually, the weight of her grief began to lessen. She took hesitant steps forward, attempting to rebuild her shattered world. However, deep within her, a flicker of hope remained, a desperate longing for a sign that you might still exist in some way. Diana woke up startled by nightmares of your blood on her hands, consuming her. Unconsciously, her hand reached out to your side of the bed, hoping to find your hand. To her dismay, she was met with cold sheets she had grown to despise over time. She got out of bed and began her morning routine, unable to go back to sleep without the image of your pained face covered in blood haunting her. Slowly, she walked to the kitchen, looking from the doorway as she always used to do every morning. A smile graced her face as she saw your figure swaying your hips to the beat of the music. But as she was brought back to reality, she found the kitchen empty. She looked with sorrow, just as she has been doing for the last three months without you. A heavy sigh left her lips as she entered the kitchen and prepared her own breakfast. Lost in her thoughts, Diana made two plates of omelets, one for herself and one for you. She turned around, pressing her lips into a thin line. "Right," she said quietly, looking at the empty table. She places both plates down, takes a seat, and starts eating her own breakfast. She looks at the empty seat in front of her before retrieving her laptop from her bag, which was hanging nearby, and opens it.
She searched through her emails, checking for anything new about her work, but she found nothing. Only an invitation to Metropolis of Lex Luthor, who was hosting a gala with his new collaborator. Her name was unknown, as it was stated that it would be revealed at the party. However, something about the woman's signature at the bottom right caught Diana's attention. She would recognize that handwriting anywhere - from the little notes sneakily that would be placed in her bag to read at work, so Diana would have something of you every day.
Determined to confirm if this information was true, Diana gritted her teeth and clenched her fists before quickly getting up. If there was any wisp of hope left that you might still be alive, she needed to confirm it.

Only a god can kill another god
↠Diana Prince x Goddess Reader [18+] Violence and fighting
Tumblr media
Everything you two had built was falling apart. You knew it from the moment you both stood facing each other in that dark alley with the heavy rain soaking your clothes. The gravity of the situation was heavy, and it was clear that there was no turning back.
You were both about to fight to the death, each one of you determined to win.
You couldn't escape this fate. No matter how much you wanted to, you could not turn away from the impending battle. You had to face it head-on and accept the consequences, whatever they may be.
Her eyes were full of fierce determination as she pulled her sword from her back holster. You stared with tears streaming down your face as you lowered your head. You knew that this was the moment of truth. Your mind raced with thoughts of doubt and fear but you knew that you had to face your opponent. You steeled yourself and unsheathed your sword, ready to fight.
_____
Your mouth dropped open in a gasp as you jerked awake with heavy breathing. The sun was setting behind you while you were sitting still. Taking a deep breath to calm your racing heart, you shook your head as the memory faded. A sigh escaped your mouth as you leaned back on the bed, inspecting the cold sheets on your right side. You then looked out on the balcony, taking in the sight of the city lights that were beginning to sparkle in the evening's sky. Stepping onto the balcony, you let out a deep sigh.
You looked up at the night sky, and watched as the stars slowly started to appear. You felt a sense of comfort standing there in the dark. The quiet of the night and the gentle breeze filled your lungs, helping you to become a bit more at ease. As you watched the stars in the night sky, you felt at peace , despite the loneliness that often accompanies the thought of her. Taking a deep breath, you allowed yourself to fully relax and enjoy the peaceful moment. You knew that this simple pleasure was one of the few things that could soothe your heavy heart.
As your mind started to wander, the fight memory came to the surface.
The rain fell harder as the two goddesses charged at each other. It was almost like it was trying to wash away the battle that was taking place. The rain became so intense that it made it difficult for the two goddesses to fight. They had to dodge and weave in order to avoid each other’s weapons. Despite the heavy downpour, the goddesses remained undeterred in their mission.
The rain was still pouring down with its relentless force when a powerful kick sent you sprawling across the ground. Thunder rumbled in the distance as the sky wept heavily. Rain soaked through your clothes and chilled you to the bone. There wasn't as much cold as in your heart.
In an attempt to continue fighting, you arose only to be impaled by a sharp piece of debris. As the sword pierced your skin, you gasped in pain and shock. Throughout your body, you felt the warmth of your own blood. You were about to lose everything. Stuck in a fight, you could not win. Your heart raced as you felt your strength wane, and the chilly rain washed away any hope that you might survive.
Shakingly, you removed your helmet and left it beside you. Your movement drew your opponent’s attention to your face. You had just revealed your identity. A look of horror appeared on her face and a gasp left her lips as she realized that the person she had been hunting down for so months and just fought was her own lover. You looked into her eyes, knowing that it was too late to turn back.
She mumbled your name and looked down at your stomach. Realization came and crashed into her as she looked at what she had done. She stepped back, tears streaming down her face, her heart shattering. “No, no, no, no” she cried as she fell on her knees. She was in shock, unable to fully accept what had happened.
“What have I done?” she whispered slowly holding you in her arms as she stroke your face, tears now flowing freely down her cheeks. It overwhelmed her with guilt and regret, wishing she could undo what she had done. “Stay with me please, my love,” she said, her voice shaking with emotion. “Please do not leave me, I cannot bear it.” she pressed her head against yours. “Diana,” you whispered, your voice barely audible. She smiled through her tears and kissed your forehead, her lips trembling. Diana was desperate for your forgiveness and was afraid of being left alone. Her emotions were so strong that she was unable to contain them, and she kissed your lips in a moment of tenderness and love.
She whispered back, “My love, I'm sorry, please forgive me.” With these words, you embraced one another, Diana’s sorrowful tears mixing with your own as you both held on tightly to each other, knowing that neither of you wanted the moment to end. You gazed into one another's eyes as you slowly closed your eyes, treasuring the moment and the love that still existed between you both. You whispered tenderly, "I forgive you".
When the darkness slowly enveloped you, you heard the scream of your beloved. The pain and anguish of her broken heart echoed within your own. Diana had realized, too late, that you were gone. She had lost you forever, and the pain was unbearable. Tears streamed down her face as she held you close, begging you to come back to her, willing you to stay.
The sound of her voice, pleading for you to stay, echoed in your mind and brought you back to the present. You had been considered dead by your lover, and the thought of it pierced your heart like a dagger. You wanted nothing more than to go back to her and tell her that you were alive and that you still loved her, but you feared that if you returned, her heart would be too fragile to handle the shock and it would be best to stay away. Knowing that you could not go back to the past and the pain that it could bring, you chose to stay away and keep her safe.

"Tony, how are you seeing things inside?"
"Everything good Cap all clear,"
"Good check for any heat signatures as Helena goes to close the generator,"
"On it Cap,"
As tony started to circle the building, checking for any heat signature. Helena got in position to close the generator
"I am in position Cap,"
"Good on my signal you will close it,"
"Got it, Cap,"
Helen walked towards the generator, looking around closely while scanning everything. A giant AIM logo on the wall behind the generator made Helena clench her jaw and forced herself to look away at a wall that had a blueprint of a cyborg that Helena had never seen before it had powers that made it deadly.
Helena grabbed from her right thigh pocket her goggles and took a picture of the blueprint. She then sent them back to JARVIS for analysis.
When Helena was done, she heard a noise that alarmed her. She quickly closed her fists as her eyes turned black and her hair blood red. She walked slowly without making any noise when she felt a sharp pain in her right arm making her hiss. She turned around and her fist made contact with a metal chest sending the robot to the nearest wall. She then turned and looked at her wounded arm, which had a metal knife stabbed there. She slowly pulled it out and stored it in one of her many pockets. Slowly she turned to the broken wall only to see nothing but the broken wall there. She cursed under her breath as she changed her eyes to her foxy ones.
She looked around, trying to find the robot, when it attacked her multiple times, making her groan in pain from her stubbed arm. She walked backward and closed her eyes as she tried to listen to the robot's movements when she catches its, noise she exposes her sharp nails and charged at, it slicing its right arm off.
The robot started cycling her as its left hand turned into a blade and it cloned itself, making Helena look around trying to find a way to escape, but unfortunately, she knew that the only way was to fight her way out. She used her nails, to destroy only four of the twelve robots. Her body was screaming in pain from the new bruises that had made their appearance in her body.
"Helen Shut it down. The building will explode in more than 5 minutes," Cap, said making Helena curse again. "Okay Cap," Helena replied shakingly as she finished destroying the seventh robot.
Cap furrowed his eyebrows at Helena's shaking voice. "Everything okay Cap?" Natasha asks noticing Caps furrowed as they fight some AIM agents.
"I hope so," he replies as they continue to fight.
"JARVIS inform me when the 5 minutes are over," Helena says to the AI in her suit "I will Miss. Ray," JARVIS replies as Helena continues to fight the cyborgs. She pulled her claws from the robot's chest and ran toward the control panel to close the generator. She started to shut it down when the last and original robot pulled her from her injured arm, making her scream in pain. She closed her fist and hit the robot hard, making it pull away she ran again and pushed the last buttons, making the generator shut off.
She walked away from the generator and turned around so she can finish her fight when the robot stabbed her in the stomach with its left arm, Helena's eyes shot open and her mouth hang open, she breathed heavily as she quickly took out her knife and sliced its head off."Generator shut down" Helena said, her voice weaker than before.
Steve sighed in relief and closed his eyes. "She did it," Steve said and the team relaxed a little."Alright Fox, get out of there," Steve said expecting a reply but he was met with silence, making him concerned. "Fox, do you repeat?" Steve asked with a stressed voice. The team started to get alarmed as Helena did not respond "Ray, This is an order," he said demandingly as he looked at the team, seeing their concerned faces made his stomach turn. "Fox…Helena!… shit" Steve said in frustration, making the team look at each other.
"I am going in," Natasha said suddenly as she turned to walk towards the building "Romanoff it's not safe we have to wait," Tony said stepping in front of Natasha "Widow, Tony is right we have to wait. If she does not come out we will go find her," Steve, said putting his hand on her arm for comfort as she clenched her, jaw looking down.
"Uh guys," Kamala says catching everyone's attention "There is smoke coming from the building!" Kamala says panicked making everyone look at the building with wide eyes "JARVIS find where the smoke is coming from" Tony says with an edge in his voice "Yes sir"JARVIS says taking a few seconds to reply "It appears that the smoke coming from the generator room" JARVIS replies and everyone freezes in place holding their breath "JARVIS is Helena still in there" Steve asks in his firm voice. "Cap I lost Helena's heat signal after an attack I do not know if she is still there," JARVIS says and everyone started to panic again "Attack what attack?" Bruce asks "Dr. Banner Helena was attacked by a new cyborg that had powers from the people AIM had captured and tortured," JARVIS says and Natasha clenched her fists. She took deep breaths to stop herself from running inside the building.
"How many minutes do we have until the explosion?" Kamala asks with a sad tone, "Miss. Kamala, we only have seconds," the AI replies, and everyone gasps.
"Fuck, we can't lose her," Clint says as he clenched his bow ready to run in there. "I can teleport inside and look for her," Kate says in a serious tone. "No. Kate, it is dangerous. We can't risk someone else right now," Steve says shaking his head at her. "Well, we have to do something! We can't just leave her to die!" Kate says, raising her hands in frustration. "Bishop it's too late JARVIS has started to countdown the seconds," Tony says holding his breath as JARVIS continued to count "3…2…1" and with that, the Avengers saw the building explode with one of their family members inside.

Natasha, walking up to Y/N: Can we do… the thing?
Y/N, confused: Thing?
Natasha, wrapping her arms around herself: This thing?
Y/N, amused: You mean a hug?
Natasha: Yeah, that.
*15 minutes later*
Y/N: Had enough?
Natasha, mumbling: No.
