Yeah. I mean the financial literacy classes help, but when we literally cannot afford the necessities, there’s no universe where we escape poverty. The only real solution to poverty is higher wages. The only solutions to poverty, ever, are ones that give poor people more money. Whether by giving them tax breaks, giving them monthly payments, or even giving them an education to get a good job. All of these involve people getting more money. That’s the obvious and only solution. The fact that companies are acting as though that isn’t the case, even with all this demonstrable evidence, is genuinely insulting to every single worker.
