when chrissy starts living with eddie during high school, she’s super anxious about how wayne will react. she’d never met the man, yet now she’s living in his home and sharing a bedroom with his nephew. eddie reassured her probably a thousand times that this was okay but she couldn’t help but feel like she had been taking up space, and there wasn’t much of that in the trailer to begin with. she thought wayne was going to be angry and send her right back home. she had always assumed that the worst was going to happen. but when he welcomed her with open arms? she cried. of course this freaked both the munson men out, not knowing how to react to a crying cheerleader in their living room. she assured them it was a happy cry, thankful that she was actually being welcomed into their home. it took a bit for chrissy to feel comfortable enough to start conversations. when she did though, she had realized what a sweetheart uncle wayne was. when she told eddie, he just laughed and said "wayne's just a big softie."

a couple of years pass and chrissy is still living with the munsons, though her and eddie are looking into a place of their own. they're engaged now after all, and there wasn't enough room for prepare for the little bundle of joy on the way. however the two do end up finding a house, and wayne helps the couple move in. actually he does majority of the work, telling chrissy to stay off of her feet.

when chrissy gives birth to their baby boy, there's only one name that makes sense to both her and eddie.
