Since I can remember I've always been fascinated with history, especially the history of my hometown Saint Joseph, Missouri. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew I would simply reply with a historian for Saint Joseph and work as a tour guide at the Patee House Museum, still to this day that's my dream job. As I got older I would go to the library and check out any book that I could find that was in one way or another related to Saint Joe. It fascinated me how people in past times, how things where, what it was like. I wanted to time travel back and live it, experience it, be apart of it. I soon became obsessed with all the older buildings and homes throughout town that were still standing. The more I discovered about them, the more I loved them. The homes and businesses that once belonged to the families of the most wealthiest and powerful resident's of Saint Joe such as the Tootle, Wyeth, Lemon, Goetz, Townsend just name a few. Or places like Pony Express Stables, Jesse James House, Patee House, Stockyard Exchange Building. I slowly over time started researching and collecting as much information about every historic structure from house, business, school, warehouse I could find. I felt no other way would be better than to photograph every place I had history on or came across. Once I started accumulating photographs I wanted to share my passion for not only the history of my awesome town, the historical places with the fascinating stories that followed them and my love for photography. I started off sharing photos on Facebook to a couple of groups the are built on preserving Saint Joe's history and buildings, slowly over a couple years I've generated quite a fan base or followers (however you want to look at it) and I couldn't be more grateful and thankful to them, they have helped solve mysteries about places, given me more information and encourage me to keep doing what I love. I'm now branching out and trying different platforms and eventually working towards my own website, but do now this I the next best thing. I want to share all of my hard work, dedication and love for history with all of you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you.
