“Champagne, if you are seeking the truth, is better than a lie detector. It encourages a man to be expansive, even reckless, while lie detectors are only a challenge to tell lies successfully.” Writing.

day 43: is it possible to lie without saying a word
Ex: Someone is accused of something they didn't do. You stand back and don't say a word, despite your knowledge of their innocence.
Does that count?

Day 41: write a letter to yourself stating all the things you love about yourself
Hey emuhlee,
I think you're a nice person. You're a good daughter, and you make a lot of people lucky just from knowing you. Your parents love you, you have a boyfriend that loves you to the end of the earth. You have problems, but you deal with them and use them to your advantage. You're not a drama queen. You're not afraid to have your own opinions and you can't stand the thought of an ignorant idiot. You're a smart person. You get good grades, you work especially hard. Maybe not in the emotional aspect, but in the future plans aspect you're in a pretty good place. Visiting colleges has been good for you. You are surviving your Junior year. You got tapped into NHS and you got involved with drama and finally became a STARS member. You can type fast. Your fingers are slender and so are your arms. Your legs might not be your favorite but you have muscles. Same with your stomach, though you may have to work on that a little more. You know how to eat sensibly (just gotta work on that a little bit, too). You're a little lost, but you have so much potential. You haven't found a passion, but you have abilities. You're a good writer. You have found a nice niche in photography and you found some nice friends this year in high school. You've made friends with the asians again and they're good people to be with. It seems like the people who know you from middle school have fond memories of you. You're a strong person. You deal with your depression, you work with it. You have stopped giving into the weakness that is your past. Maybe you breakdown, but you'll come out untouchable one of these days. Your passion for India is astounding and beautiful. Your love of Bollywood is a culturally-enriching experience and it's the best kind of learning you can expose yourself to at this point in your life. You're messy, but you've got it together. You fix your mistakes and you say sorry too much but it's better to be over polite than to be a bitch. Pictures of you look nice. You're learning each year. You look good in a lot of clothes, you have your own sense of style. You have gotten basically every internet/celebrity person you truly admire to reply to one of your comments (atm: ntima, tierney, chani, raymond..pending: shahrukh). You're compassionate, sympathetic, and empathetic. You actually think about others and you know a jackass when you see one. You know how to be productive and you can be a good leader. You're good with kids, you make people smile. You've worked on your more crude humor and you have a pretty nice sense of humor overall. Your laugh is nice, and of course your smile is, too. When you do your makeup it seems like you know what you're doing without overdoing it. If you procrastinate you still get it done. Your hair looks good in general. You have a good taste in music. You're good with money, you're not selfish, and you're not spoiled. You're a teenager--you're rude, you're hormonal--but you're not uncontrollable. You've always been considered mature for your age. You know how to enjoy things and you don't let others be affected just because you are. You're a good listener and you let your parents have a breather. You do what you can, and you'll go where you will. Jeena Yahan Maran Yahan
Sincerely,
yourstrength

Day 39: why you think you’ve learned more from the good or the bad
Bad because good didn't teach me:
It's not a good idea to date someone 6 years older than you on the internet
Safe sex is the only way
You're a little stronger than you think
Crying is therapeutic
Your iPod always knows
Think before you trip
Don't bring embarrassing foods to lunch
Use your agenda book
Get things done
Don't smoke, don't drink
Be comfortable in what you wear to school
Keep your hair under some control
Drink water
It's not good to overeat
Disappointing someone isn't the end
There are other options
You can do better
It could be worse
