also,  the  way  that  tara  will  never  fully  repay  her  debt  to  glenn  or  maggie,  and  is  one  hundred  percent  loyal  to  maggie  --  i  feel  like  this  is  more  due  to  a  sense  of  self  worth  than  anything,  tbh.  there’s  a  part  of  her,  no  matter  how  much  good  she  does,  that  believes  she’s  a  piece  of  shit  (  her  words,  not  mine  )  --  but  still,  on  occasion,  will  fight  past  this  hard  line  and  point  out  that  she  doesn’t  agree  with  the  rules  or  decisions  that  have  been  put  in  place.

like,  there’s  that  time  where  tara  told  jesus  maggie  might  listen  to  you,  but  rick  will  listen  to  me.  she  understands  maggie,  she  loves  maggie,  but  maggie  doesn’t  always  make  the  right  choice.  neither  does  tara.  no  one  does,  but  it’s  about  fighting  that  invisible  lock  that  ties  her  life  to  theirs  &  finding  her  own  ground  to  stand  on.  hell,  she  barely  listens  to  rick,  either,  but  she  knows  he’s  the  power  play.  i  truly  do  hate  how  they  ended  her  story  right  when  she  became  an  entire  ass  individual  rather  than  someone  mirroring  those  around  her.

the  way  that  tara  is  the  softest,  most  encouraging,  affectionate  friend  there  could  be  but  is  also  not  one  to  be  trampled  over  or  taken  advantage  of,  nor  will  she  hesitate  to  put  her  foot  down  and  go  against  her  friend  if  she  doesn’t  believe  that  what  they’re  doing  is  right.
