thinking about how wolverine is constantly sacrificing himself for the people he loves even though he's not supposed to be able to die... in x-men he saves rogue even though it's established earlier in the film that her power could actually kill him, in logan he gives his life so that laura and the other children can make it to safety, in dp&w he tries to destroy the time ripper by himself so deadpool can go back to his life and family... and the kicker is that dp&w! wolverine is not even the same variant as x-men/logan! wolverine, it's just a trait that every wolverine variant possesses! no matter how much tough guy and lone wolf energy he projects, every version of him will give up virtual immortality to save the people he cares about and i think that's beautiful

Deadpool 3 is about to make me write gay MCU fanfic in the year of our lord 2024. The only thing more embarrassing is writing Destiel fanfic in 2024, which I most certainly will also be doing on and around Nov 5th. but that is neither here nor there

words cannot encapsulate how crazy it is that deadpool and wolverine COULD have sent logan home to his original timeline. they could have found a loophole for wade’s own not to need an anchor & logan’s mistakes could have been fixed and reversed and gone back to being an x men never to see each other again. lazy writing, sure, but they could have. instead they gave wade wilson a live in boyfriend
