FIRST AID FOR DUMMIES
I had to learn all of this the hard way. If I got any of these wrong, feel free to correct me in the comments. Reblog to potentially save someone's life.
If you're cut slightly, just rinse it with water. Take out the residue of anything that cut you.
If you have a major cut, like a minor stab wound, don't pull it out immediately. Instead, wrap around it tightly, and I mean as tight as possible, and THEN pull it out.
Clot any injuries you have.
If you have a migraine, put something cold over your eyes and the back of your head but not directly. Cover the cold thing with fabric or a thin towel or something. I would also recommend cooling your head.
This may seem like common sense, but I cannot stress this enough. DO NOT PUT PRESSURE ON AN INJURED LIMB IF THE WOUND IS INTERNAL. IF IT WAS CUT, TIE IT TIGHTLY.
Do the Heimlinch manoeuver or however you spell that if someone is choking. Fist under the middle of the ribs, a hand over it, and tighten it. Keep trying untill it comes out or atleast until they have oxygen.
CPR. Two hands over the left side of the chest, pound it down periodically on a natural heartrate.
If you messed up a bone, snap it back into place as soon as possible. Or have someone do it. Use a splint to support it, tie it tightly, but not too tight. That will cut off the circulation.
ALWAYS TIE BANDAGES TIGHTLY. It saves bandages and stops the bleeding.
If you somehow get bitten by a venomous snake, get it off you and tie the part above it (closer to your heart. For example, if you get bit on the wrist, tie around the forearm, not above the wound) as tight as possible. Yes, it cuts off the circulation. That's the point, so the venom doesn't spread through your system.
If you get an open cut, like a minor one, it's better to wash it with clean soap and under running water instead of alcohol, because while yes, it kills the germs and bacteria, it also kills the cells that are trying to heal the wound.
If you break a bone and the bone snaps out of place too, it's best to snap it back into place, because it can grow the wrong way and misshape your bone.

Tape things under the bottoms of chairs IF you don't have children in your home often/at all.
Rocking chairs, and I mean like the lazyboys and all that. My parents had strict rules that we can't extend the legrest, you can hide things, like small things inside them.
NEVER bring a friend home, unless they're aware and have sworn to keep your secrets. Even then, tell them sensitive topics to never mention to your parent/abuser.
Some backpacks have that little compartment for the bag's raincoat in the bottom. It gets annoying when you have to leave it to dry, but you can hide things like cash in there.
Walk starting from the heels to the middle to the toes work too. Try and march loudly as if to create the illusion that you're a loud walker when you have to make sure they hear you. They can completely silence your steps on ceramic flooring, atleast. Make sure that the gap on the middle of your foot isn't completely surrounded by flesh.
Pick up drawing. Like said above, draw in codes. Always have an alibi handy, if they see the drawing, say something, like, "My friend, Charlie, asked me to draw that. Yes, that Charlie the one you know."
Try to not lie as much as possible. Let them fill in he blanks themselves, but never correct them. Go around the truths. But if your abuser is in any way perceptive, don't use it often.
If you do have to lie, have someone to back up your lies. Like, tell your friend/sibling/accomplice, "If anyone asks you where I was all day, say I was with you, doing some homework or group project. Say it was mathematics. Algebra on chapter blablabla and a poster presentation. Say it took hours and made you feel miserable all the time."
Make sure to try and never purposefully lie. NEVER lie to someone's face unless you absolutely have to.
Almost everyone in my whole school just kind of knew that my home life was never good. I would go to school with major bruises and limps, once even a slightly torn ear. (It healed fast, surprisingly.)
My siblings and I fight a lot, but we knew when to pretend to fight to diffuse suspicion. Once, my little brother had a huge black eye that he sported for a full month from our dad getting a lucky hit on him. I never confirmed who did it when my friends asked me what happened (they knew of my siblings and my general family life.) I would just say, "I will not confirm or deny that I did that." It's better to take the blame for someone else's safety, because we used to get punished for stupid things.
The teachers also kind of knew, but never had any real proof to do anything about it. They kind of knew my dad was a bit of a bitch. I would send them pleading looks when no one was looking. They have probably dealt with parents like these enough to know.
Always have your siblings/neighbours/best friends on your beck and call. Even if you're in a fight, make sure they understand the situation enough to not rat you out.
Join a sport. Even if you're not athletic. It gives you some leeway, an alabi, an excuse for injuries, ect.
Know how to read the situation from facial expressions and very subtle hand gestures. Never talk back when your abuser's anger is at it's peak- I had to eat snacks for three days to eat at all.
HAVE ALL YOUR FRIENDS KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH INJURIES AND MENTAL BREAKDOWNS. Believe me. Only if you're close enough.
Have a jar, just ready and there. Small snacks? Hide them. Extra cash? Into the jar you go.
If you are let with some money on your hands, keep a secret stash of money, like, twenty bucks, just hidden somewhere in your backpack. If it does get found, just say, "It's for emergencies", which isn't wrong. If they ask you why you have it in a small pocket in there, just say so you wouldn't get pickpocketed.
Have double accounts for things if your abuser's don't like what you do.
Have lots of pencil cases. Stash things in them in your school locker or something.
NEVER hide things under your bed. Instead, hide it under the MATTRESS of the bed, or the spot where the mattress and wall meet, or the mattress and the bed's wooden or metal structuring.
KEEP A ROLL OF CLOTHES IN YOUR SCHOOL LOCKER. I always did this, and no one suspected why.
Asscociate yourself as paranoid. It rises less suspicion.
Hide things in the gap next to the fridge and wall.
Old dvd cases. That's all I have to say.
Multitask. I never had a dryer, so we had to hang our clothes in the back of the house. If you're doing something, hide there with half the clothes hung up. Keep going proggressively, so if someone walks in, they just see you doing the laudry.
The bottom row of bookshelves. No one ever really checks those because they're dusty and cluttered. Make sure to never leave fingerprints in the dust.
Know atleast the basics of first aid.
Goodluck and stay safe!
hey so protip if you have abusive parents and need to get around the house as quietly as possible, stay close to furniture and other heavy stuff because the floor is settled there and it’s less likely to creak

I NEED fics where Black Cat is a complete simp for Golden Retriever. Get a coffee? "Oh, GR doesn't drink coffee except matcha latte. How do I know this- wha- shut up!" Listening to music? "Retriever only listens to Simple Plan ans musicals, and they get this cute, adorable, smile on their face-"
And then Third Wheel just blurts out, "Fuck Romeo and Juliet, I wanna be them." With Black Cat glaring at Third Wheel and Golden Retriever taking out thier earplug, which Black Cat has the other half on, saying, "Sorry, what? I was listening to the full musical of Hamilton-"
I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE, RIGHT?!

Random PJO Headcannon I Thought About
After the Titan's Curse, Grover dyed a streak of his hair greyish white. Originaly it was just a random, passing comment, but Percy and Annabeth was like, "Yeah go for it." Grover didn't want to feel excluded, but it was like his bestfriends little thing together, and they were so encouraging about it, so Grover dyed a streak greyish white.

A Pjo Thought I Had When I'm Trying To Sleep.
Okay. In the Battle of the Labyrinth, Annabeth said that Clarisse demolished a whole building with a wreaking ball in an attempt to destroy the entrance of a labyrinth. I have a few questions.
How did Clarisse drive a wreaking ball, much less manage to find a unsupervised one with it's keys and shit?
She got out of it without any police charges. How? Rick, HOW?!

DC/BATFAM HEADCANNONS
Cass is older than Dick, and Alfred was there even before Bruce was born. Why? Because that would be fucking funny. Alfred stands for A, Bruce B, Cass C, Dick D, and then there's Jason.
Alfred used to have PTSD from being a British agent/spy/soldier, but because he trusts the Waynes completely, it slowly but surely dissapears, then Martha and Thomas died. Boom! Major PTSD. Bruce decides to become a fucking furry, and adopts a couple million kids. It begins to slowly dissaprear again, then the Batkids gets killed off one by one. When they keep getting resurected, Alfred just went, 'Oh, you're dying? Fine, but I want you here for Christmas.' And the others just roll with it.
When he was in the League of Assasins, Damian once got a bird, and hid it from Talia and Ra's, but Ra's found out and killed Marcus infront of Damian, forced him to not cry, and punished him by more training. (Poor bby.)
It wasn't Bruce who first found out the JL's identities. It was Alfred. How? It's Alfred.

Random PJO Thoughts I have.
Happy Mother's day!
We all can agree a mother's impact can change the course of a person's life, right? It applies very well to books.
Okay. For starters, if Rhea didn't just bite the bullet and tricked Kronos to save Zeus, most of Greek myths wouldn't exist.
Now, to our main charachter Percy.
If Percy was 100% sure that Sally wouldn't have a hard time finding him another school, he's be expelled on the first day.
Sally was the 'What matters most in the end'. You can all say that 'Annabeth was the one Percy loved most!' Yeah. That is probably true. But Sally is his loving, caring, sweet mother. She raised him, loved him, hell, got married to an asshole for him!
I'm not saying all mothers are good, no. Hera? She loved her cheating husband, sure. But she threw Hepheastus off Mount Olympus. Her general disregard hurt him to the point he likes his machines more than people. While being a certified introvert isn't bad, it not exactly good for your mental and emotional state either. But they're gods, so...yeah.
So...this is where I lost motivation.
Bye!

My Intrusive Thoughts
Okay. Hear me out. In almost (If not, all) every book that uncle Rick wrote, there's always a broken vehicle somehow.
The Lightning Thief? The bus. In New Jersey. And Smelly Gabe's Camaro.
The Sea Of Monsters? The C.S.S. Hunley. Among others. (i.e. chariots.)
The Titan's Curse? Dr. Chase's car. That's the only one I remember.
The Battle Of The Labyrinth? The Princess Andromeda.
The Last Olympian? There was so much destruction that I'm sure atleast destroyed a couple vehicles. And Blackjack broke Paul's car.
The Lost Hero? The Park Ranger lady's helicopter. And Festus, but that counts as a friend.
The Son Of Neptune? The Pax. The chariot they stole from the Amazons. Don't remember the rest.
The rest of the series? The Argo II in general. They made a lot of other things break too.
This started as an midnight thought. Remind me the ones I forgot.
