Gamer!Phoenix Headcanons Part 2
This part two focuses on the 7 year gap, not including the start of Apollo Justice. I think I’ll do more of a bulleted list this time, as I hope to eventually string all of these parts together into one fic lol. Also this is most definitely not going to be posted in chronological order because, why not haha.
Also this is literally just if phoenix wright had a lil gaming career on the side lol
Beanix
During the 7 year gap, Phoenix has much more time to stream due to getting disbarred.
He has to find a way to provide for Trucy after all, and the money that he used to make during college from streaming was pretty decent.
At first he had wanted to revitalize his old channel, but he decided that he needed a fresh start.
He creates his new channel, Beanix_, and resumes streaming on Twitch going by Beanix_ with the use of a voice modulator.
It’s hard to get publicity at first, but he reaches out to some of his old streaming friends through his old channel and they do a couple of collabs together so he can gain some followers/subscribers. He emphasizes to them that he does not want to be associated with his college channel.
Phoenix still takes time to take care of Trucy as well as his continue his investigation on Kristoph.
He streams a wide variety of content but mostly focuses on speedrunning, challenges, or competitive games, all sprinkled with tasteful commentary on how his life is going, advice, or any other topic that might arise in chat.
His streams tend to be pretty chill, but whenever he gets caught in a laughing fit, the chat goes wild, and honestly it’s what they come for.
After a couple of months have passed, a new name starts trending within various gaming communities.
Rumors arise about the mysterious streamer, Beanix_, that always seems to place very highly or even dominate the tournaments that they enter, regardless of the game.
No one has a clue about who Beanix_ actually is or what he looks like or even sounds like because he never shows his face and uses a voice modulator whenever he streams or is at competitions.
His account begins to amass new followers and subscribers who have become entranced by Phoenix’s online persona’s ability to seemingly win matches out of nowhere(The first Smash tournament he competed in, he got to the finals, which had a system of first to three wins. He lost the first two games but he pulled an insane turnabout, clutching three wins in a row).
He sets a poll up during one of his streams, asking viewers to pick the next game that he would play, and of course, they want Beanix_ to play poker, as there is no way that he could possibly win all of the time in a game that could have so much variation.
Phoenix accidentally signs up for a poker website that requires voice chat without any modifications to the input and already had made the deposit of money before realizing this.
Instead of having a voice reveal, he asks Trucy for her help and lets her be in charge of mic duty while he listens to the others and plays his heart out.
Surprisingly, he manages to win all of the games that he plays on the first stream. He climbs the ranks of the poker website and soon he is playing with extremely high stakes.
Occasionally he gets dms from those who want to see if his skills hold up in real life, offering him a prize if he can actually beat them.
Phoenix of course agrees to play against them, as money is money after all. Ge still maintains his anonymity though, and meets them to play at various bars around Los Angeles, with the Borscht Bowl Club being the epicenter of it all.
He still streams other challenges but he keeps a small win/loss counter about his poker games in the top right of the stream, taunting those who wish to try their luck.
He starts his Youtube channel and uploads compilations of him winning poker games, skillfully edited videos of his challenges, and the occasional speedrun world record video.
Beanix_ still manages to keep his 7 year win streak of both online and in-person poker.
At this point he has accumulated around 2.3 million subscribers on youtube as well as about 500,000 on Twitch.

Gamer!Phoenix Headcanons Part 1
So I was on the NM discord server and like, they start talking about how Phoenix would be when playing video games so of course my brain immediately goes and tries to make headcanons. So here is the first one, a bit more fleshed out than what was posted in the discord.
Maya and Phoenix
Maya persuades an unwilling Phoenix to play Super Mario Odyssey with her. She lets him be Mario instead of Cappy, as she expects that it will be a “haha funny moment, Nick you are so bad at this lmaoooooo” time.
As soon as Phoenix picks up the controller, Maya sees that the look in his eyes has changed from a somewhat annoyed stare into an intense focus that she had only seem him do in court.
Instead of the Nick that she sees fumbling around with his brick of a cellphone, she sees impeccable and precise movement that even she hasn’t been able to recreate with her 150 hours into the game.
Phoenix easily breezes through the majority of the game in just over an hour, performing various speedrun strats that left Maya staring in awe at the performance that he achieved. He had turned what was originally a co-op night into a solo speedrun of the game, as Maya was intently absorbing all of the various skips that he could do.
After beating the boss, Phoenix glances at his watch for a minute and stops the timer. “Huh, a new PB, that’s pretty good considering I haven’t touched this game in a while.” he states nonchalantly.
“NICK. WHAT WAS THAT?!” Maya yells in shock at the feat that she had just witnessed. “I HAD NO IDEA YOU COULD DO LITERALLY ANY OF THOSE? HOW DID YOU BEAT THE GAME IN LIKE AN HOUR WHEN IT TOOK ME FORTY?” she questioned in a rapid fire matter.
“Oh that? That was not that big of a deal,” Phoenix blushes and puts his hand behind his head, “You could probably do the same with a bit of advice and a lot of practice.” he smiled at her with a glint of excitement in his eyes.
“Bet! Teach me your ways, Nick-sensei, let me steal all of your secret tricks!”
They spent the rest of the night playing SMO until they passed out on the couch of the office.

The prologue of Infinity TrAAin: Case 1 - The Disgraced Prosecutor is up on my Ao3!!
Here’s a lil summary
Miles Edgeworth is losing control. His record? Shattered. His ideals? Broken. His emotions? Deemed unnecessary and thrown off of a cliff. So he does what any rational person would do - fake his death and leave for Europe. Yet after all of his preparations, the Train has other plans for him.
Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death.
Five simple words on their own, but when chained together in that specific order, they can fracture the strongest of bonds.
Miles’ hand quivers as he inscribed his signature onto the roughly textured paper, leaving a small pool of black ink where he had hesitated to lift up the pen, contemplating if he really should be doing this.
He leaves the note upon the polished wood of his desk. ‘Hmph, Detective Gumshoe has really outdone himself with this one. I’ll have to give him a raise before I leave for Europe.’ As he paces towards the exit, Miles glances at the chessboard in the corner of the room, the spiky blue pawn immediately bringing attention to an unsettling feeling, perhaps guilt?, at the bottom of his stomach. ‘Wright will be fine. It’s not as if he can still care for a demon. He has Miss Fey’s sister to support him.’
Instead of dwelling on this sensation any longer, Miles finally grasps the door handle and exits his office. The trek down the stairwell seemed endless, the sound of his steps echoing off of the concrete walls, no mundane conversations able to dull the sharp clicking of his shoes. His shadow growing and shrinking in the light of the full moon with each turn.
‘Europe will give me a chance to sort this out. I need to do this for my own sake. There is no way I can face “that man” at this moment. I have to go.’
Finally reaching the bottom of the stairwell, Miles egresses, and passes by the receptionist at the Prosecutor’s Building.
“Tell the good Detective Gumshoe that I will be leaving.” he fumbles around his pocket, “Here is my spare key, please give this to him and tell him that his salary depends on the state of my office when I return.”
“Gumshoe? The big burly guy who always follows you like a lost puppy?” Miles provides a quick nod in agreement. “I gotcha! Have a nice trip Mr. Edgeworth!” the receptionist answers with what had appeared to be a strained smile.
As he exits the building, a sudden gust of wind manages to blow some dust into his eyes.
“What in-?” As he reorients himself towards the source of his discomfort, a familiar silhouette of a metro appeared in his vision, displaying a glowing destination sign for Europe. “A metro? In front of the Prosecutor’s Building? There is no feasible way this could exist? How could an entire line be built in a single day, without any noticeable noises from construction? I would have heard this being erected?”
The door of the metro slides open, casting a warm light upon Miles, without allowing him to discern the existence of any passengers on it.
‘This must be some sort of holographic prank, there is no possibility that this entire subway car is here.’ He walks towards the open door to ensure that this was an illusion.
“Hmph. What an elaborate prank on the day before I leave, Detective Gumshoe must ha-”
Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death is all that remains.
