The other day I was listening to Mel Robbins Podcast and the topic was
21 day meditation to reprogram your subconscious mind and it talked about your trigger points and how have been created through trauma over time and it hit hard and made me think about my own trigger points and today I ended up journaling about it to understand myself better.
I name this post as
Reflecting to understand my true Self
My core wound is feeling trapped
I want to do certain things but in my way and have others participate in it with me so that I don’t feel alone which I constantly tell myself that I am by trapping myself from having fun with myself and doing the activities that from world’s perspective might be a taboo to speak out loud like having sex or weird like dancing and singing my heart out.
So basically moving my body in whatever way I feel like and not restricting myself from being goofy and weird and helpful and loving the way I do. I either doubt myself that I might get a bad feedback or feel like my true self is not for them to be seen.
I just became too principled by listening to others and following their goal and never finding mine because even though what motivated me was in the direction of who I was listening to I still didn’t really want to be them and with all the fog and unclarity of what is it that I want I just took away my freedom from myself to be who I enjoy to be.
For example My aim is to have healthy habits but not live to 100 and I thought that’s what you get for having healthy habits but what’s the fun in that because at the end of the day I do want to enjoy myself. Alcohol, late night activities, being around people even though they are toxic at times are some of the things that do cause stress in negative way but also have their own perks that I get to enjoy self in and I was and still am holding myself accountable to not do so that I can be what…. be an elite athlete who can live to 100 without deceases, I mean sure it is important but not without purpose and if I don’t have one I might as well just be another well oiled machine that can do only functions that it has its range of. I don’t want to be that because ultimately I want to have the freedom to choose whatever I want and be ready for the outcome be it pleasant or not. I want to understand and be ME until the end of my time in this world with this consciousness that I have been given.

The Quantization of Time
We have come a long way from the grand father watches of the 19th centuries, having successfully destroyed the necessity to wear one.
( Courtesy : Smart-phone )
But, thanks to watch lovers around the world, their legacy continues.
Tell me and I’ll forget,
Show me and I may remember,
and Involve me and I will understand.
In this post we will explore the quartz watches of our day.
But to truly understand what happens in a quartz clock, let’s look at something more pronounced- The Lighter.
The Quotidian Lighter
It consists of a small, spring-loaded hammer which, when a button is pressed, hits a Piezoelectric crystal.
Piezoelectric crystal is one which produces a voltage when pressure is applied to it. This effect is known as the piezo-electric effect.
Upon hitting the Piezoelectric crystal, a huge voltage ( ~ 600 V )is created because of the piezo-electric effect.
The lighter is wired in such a way that this whole voltage is applied in a small region of air gap between two metallic points.
Due to high voltage generated, the air is ionized and acts as a path for the discharge.
This electric discharge is the spark which when exposed to the combustible gas from the stove ignites it to produce flame.
Tick, tick, tick -The Quartz Crystal
Inside a quartz clock or watch, the battery sends electricity to the quartz crystal ( a piezoelectric material ) through an electronic circuit.
The quartz crystal oscillates (vibrates back and forth) at a precise frequency: exactly 32768 times each second.
A Quartz crystal oscillator
These oscillations generate small electrical signals which are ‘divided down’ by the circuit within the watch to the required frequency (usually seconds) and translated into pulses which are sent to the watch display or a motor to move the seconds hand.
Remarkable isn’t it?
Have a Great Day!

From Straws to Pumps - A Realization
The act of ‘sucking’ creates a pressure difference and the reminiscence of this differential is the drink in your mouth.
And for this very reason, straws are extremely fascinating things.
Why do straws suck?
There is a pressure difference because by ‘sucking’ you are taking in all the molecules which are present in the straw to your lungs.
You see, pressure is in a way just a measure of how many molecules are bombarding the surface. And by removing all the molecules, you are eventually decreasing the pressure.
Bounds
Now, if the drink is in your hand, merely sucking it does the job of transporting the fluid to your mouth.
But what are the bounds? How high can you sit and still suck your drink?
Without getting into much details, I can tell you that its about a few meters. You practically cannot suck water beyond this height. So, does that not mean that you cannot take water beyond this height at all?
Hell No!
That’s where pumps come in. What pumps do is that they add velocity to the fluid by pushing the fluid from the bottom.
PC: Britannica
And this allows water/ any fluid to be taken to any necessary height!
Who knew that the undistinguished straw has so much to offer, right? All Hail the straw!
Have a good one!
